Overall, I’m a big fan of FRW. They have an incredible catalogue of wines, a pretty complete offering when it comes to Bordeaux EP, and some interesting opportunities to buy from other collections.... See more

Interesting products, good service, but delivery lead time can be improved.

I have had occasional unsatisfactory experiences with ordering rare and in-demand wines, only to be informed weeks later that the wine is no longer available. The time taken to obtain wine after an order- up to twelve weeks- seems strange in this day and age. However they offer the type of service that is not to my knowledge available elsewhere.
Great service, always prompt to get back to you, give honest info - sometimes recommending that I don't buy a wine! Delivery efficient, huge wine selection & interesting wines. Wines well written about & tend to include professional review. Only thing I would say is that about 80% of the wines are out of my price range & although they do have numerous wines under £20 they tend not to be those promoted. Maybe a good thing though otherwise I'd buy too much! Overall, excellent!

I have used Fine & Rare for many years and have been very satisfied with the service provided. I trust Fine & Rare on the provenance of wines when buying from them. I also store wines within Fine & Rare under my own account and to date have found their storage capability trustworthy. The only question I have with regard to selling wine is the spread which wine merchants charge - this has got to change which would surely encourage an increase in transactions.

FRW has a great inventory and a superb capacity to find what the client is looking for.

Fine & Rare offer a service which is simply second to none. They are exceptionally well informed and informative, helpful, reliable (I have never bought a dull wine from one of their recommendations), efficient and reliable. Two qualities also stand out: value for money - I really doubt you will find better; and attentive, personal and personable service. They are so enjoyable to buy from. I really cannot recommend them too highly.

Extensive wine list, both new wines and vintage releases. Very good customer service from personal client managers.

Like most things - Depending on who you get as a Private Client Account Manager will determine what kind of service you get from F&R. I have had a range of great to very poor. Unfortunately there does not seem to have consistency across the board - maybe I am not spending enough with them to warrant a top Account manager.
Regardless they have a great wine selection and would recommend searching their listings for what you like rather than relying on getting a good account manager

Consistently good prices, great recommendations, and excellent sourcing of unusual and boutique bottles. My goto source

Have been dealing with FINE+RARE for almost 20 years, firstly to sell my cellar contents due to medical problems then as a buyer once my health allowed.
Their recommendations have always been to my satisfaction.
I just hope that it is I rather than my Executors who enjoy my purchases.

Fine & Rare wine - as you would hope, sell very Fine (& also Rare) wine.
I have been a regular customer of F&R for approximately 15 years. They have consistently provided an excellent service, selling an eclectic mix of superb wines at competitive prices. In addition, they provide many other services, such as bonded storage & sales/brokerage. Personally for me however, what stands out above all of this, is the friendly, professional & knowledgeable service provided by my two most recent account managers, which has been simply exemplary. I would highly recommend F&R to anybody who is interested in buying, drinking &/or selling fine wine.

Proactive and expert. My cellar undoubtedly benefits from my relationship with fine and rare (my bank balance not so much!) Oh well life is for living

All round great service. I have used them for years. My account manager knows what I like, and makes offers but never pushes. Storage account also excellent for long term wine storage. I trust them not to sell me anything that I won't like, and their descriptions of the wines they sell are usually correct, if a little enthusiastic. Highly recommend them

Very easy website to navigate and search on. Email newsletters are good and not just spam that you often get. Never had an issue with any purchases and when dealing with the staff they've always been friendly and helpful. Gladly recommend their services for storage also.

Great source of current wine prices and ratings as well as trends. Easy to use and dependable source for the best wines of the world. Excellent online interface for tracking your wines in storage. I shopped at least 30 times with ease and piece of mind. There was never a mistake in any payment, invoicing, purchase or delivery. The depth and breadth of the available wines is just staggering. Also, very competitive pricing.

I've been buying wine from Fine + Rare for more than ten years and have always found them a pleasure to deal with. Yes, things occasionally go wrong, but any problems are dealt with quickly and efficiently. I've bought wine from any number of merchants around the UK, but Fine + Rare is one of a select few that I buy from regularly.

F&R have good wines that match those offered by other leading wine merchants.
F&R are my first choice for Brunello wine. They seem to have a broader range than other merchants and good pricing.
F&R are my equal first choice for Burgundy whites. I have one or two favourite growers who are sold via F&R.
As regards Bordeaux wines, I tend to use another leading merchant because I find I can buy the scarce wines a bit more easily. Perhaps this is because of differences in allocation size.
I like the personalised service from F&R and the 'recommendations'.
Overall, I think F&R offers good and great wines at market prices, as well as some lesser known finds that are worth following their recommendations.
Will I continue to buy from F&R? Yes
