Highly Recommend Function Health – Caught It Before the Doctors

I joined Function Health for proactive testing and it caught my elevated lipase level before any doctors did. That early warning led to a diagnosis of mild pancreatitis, which we’re now managing successfully with diet, Creon, and monitoring.
The dashboard is easy to use and the results gave clear, actionable insights. If you want real visibility into your health instead of waiting for symptoms to get bad, Function Health is worth it.

Started strong, stuck in radio silence

I was genuinely excited about Function. I’d been saving in my HSA for months to afford this, and I booked a physical with my doctor five weeks out specifically so I’d have my results ready to discuss. It’s now been four weeks waiting on results, and getting a response from support has been impossible.

I started with the support chatbot, which told me I could close the tab and they’d follow up by email. No confirmation, no ticket number…nothing. That auto-acknowledgment is industry standard, so I had no way of knowing whether my request reached a human at all. Just silence. I eventually got a single email from a rep saying they saw I didn’t have my results and would “look into it.” That was at the beginning of the week. Nothing since.

For a concierge service at this price point, I expected a better. Regular customer updates would be a great upgrade to the service so you’re not just logging in every day, hoping to see results and being disappointed.

The worst part: at one point, results appeared in my app and were then removed. Those results flagged some concerning findings. So now I’m sitting here anxiously waiting, with zero support and no answers.

I come from the customer support world. I know what it takes to run a support team well, and this is unacceptable. I’d been enthusiastically recommending Function to friends and family and now I’m telling all of them to stay away. I paid a lot of money to spend weeks in anxiety. That’s the opposite of what this service promised.

Failing at functioning from the start

If you enjoy paying a premium to get trapped in an endless loop of unhelpful AI chatbots, Function Health might be for you. The onboarding process is a digital purgatory w/ zero live agents to rescue you. Since my initial troubles in July 2025 & as recent as May 2026 its been a nightmare. It’s an incredibly frustrating, entirely impersonal experience that seems explicitly designed to spike your blood pressure before they ever actually test your blood.

Happy customer / 2 years

Have been using Function Health for 2 years, and I love it. Unlike other new blood test brands, this one does everything and more. PCP can't get that full blood panel for you either. This is the best there is, and to this day, my whole family and half of my friends choose Function Health.

Function health is incredible

Function health is incredible! Having all my data right at my fingertips all the time has proved to be invaluable. My doctors actually love it as well! I can't recommend it more! It's all so easy to take the findings and apply them to your life! They provide you with the foods you should be eating and avoiding, and show how they directly impact your blood work. They also give you the supplements that you need the most. Again, it's designed to work in conjunction with your doctor, not replace them.

So much more insight than a normal blood test at a doctors office

The blood draw was quick and easy, though my wife and I had to drive an hour and a half for the closest lab. Results came more quickly than expected, which was great. Great to have so many results and so many areas to look into. The deeper look has given my PCP much more information about me to look at than just the few tests they would normally run. Very happy with the experience overall.

Process was so easy and was so worth…

Process was so easy and was so worth it. I learned so much more about my health than I do with the normal labs. The follow up clinician notes are very helpful and provide action items. Definitely would recommend.

I’d use Function Health again in a heartbeat!

I was very pleased with the bloodwork options that were offered and how quickly the results started coming in. I love the AI option and have used it numerous times. I have already begun to make changes in my health regimen. I hope to continue using Function Health in the future.

Where are my results????

So, in March I took the tests and then something happened (unclear what), so I had to retake some of the tests. It is now May, and I have yet to get a summary from the clinician on my results. It's been a lame experience. Their support is just an auto system with basic responses that don't help. Would not recommend. Still waiting for some info.... Right now not worth any price.

Suboptimal Function Health

My experience with Function Health was extremely frustrating. Customer service response times were unreasonably delayed, my issue was not completely resolved, and there appeared to be a total disregard for the customer’s time and concerns.

The support experience felt impersonal and poorly managed, with communication quality far below what should be expected from a company operating in the healthcare space. Overall, the experience was unacceptable and very disappointing.

To my health

i loved how the blood work helped me clarify areas of concern. I was already a pretty good with my diet and exercise, etc, but this helped me clean up my diet to support me further. I also like that my questions were answered promptly, granted by AI, but I'm aware this is our future! My only complaint is I wish the repeat tests were more specific to my areas that needed attention. Otherwise a happy customer.

Great Health Tool!
