Love our rocking chair!

We bought the Gaia baby rocking chair. It's wonderful quality and was delivered really quickly! Super comfortable nursing chair! Would totally recommend!

WORST purchase we made

Where do I begin?
Ordered the bedside crib and cot in a full white finish. Arrived in a timely manner. However assembly was a total nightmare with screws etc not fitting properly or aligning. Cot was also damaged with scuff marks all over the place. With great difficulty assembled the cot as had no other choice as baby was due imminently.
Contacted Gaia (Karl) and after so many lengthy emails back and forth told us they will send out a new cot in a few months due to supply issues but meanwhile use the one we have for now.
Yes they sent out a new cot. In a CREAM colour! I had ordered white originally. But cream??!! Did not match any of the furniture at all.
After having wasted so much time with Karl originally, we just gave up.
As a new mum with the busy days and the long nights, I had spent more than enough time trying to get the issue resolved. But when it came in cream I just gave up all hope. Did not even have the energy any more to write back to them.
I feel absolutely disappointed. We spent so much and feel we have been cheated. It’s like they sent out a damaged product to replace a damaged product. They must be laughing!
Definitely do not reccommend this product to any family member or friend. Whoever does suggest the cot, tell them to not waste their time and money.
A person is better off buying a cheaper bedside crib and then a bigger cot when needed. Would still work out cheaper.

The cot itself, with it being raised, is hard for a person like me (around 5ft 4”) to put my baby in the cot as the cot bars are raised. Have to get on my toes and raise my baby up and above the rails and then put him down. Need to move the cot down now as baby is getting older. Dreading it as it will be even more difficult.

We actually brought another cot from Ikea for our second home in Dubai and it is sooo much better!! We much prefer it over this piece of rubbish.
It definitely was the worst purchase we made for our little boy. Never again.

We feel it's always important to reply to all feedback. Following delivery of the replacement cot (December) we sadly didn't hear from you about the issue of the colour until your comments here via trust pilot. We do use 100% baby safe paint and we also try and ensure all batches are the same shade of white. Sometimes in different batches there maybe variations. We are so sorry that the new unit was a different shade but we can certainly replace it for you if required (to get a closer colour match)

Drop-side/height- Our cots conform to the highest global standards and unfortunately drop-side cots are illegal to sell in the UK due to safety concerns. Please have comfort in that our cots measurements follow guidance dictated my the safety standards to ensure the utmost safety for the baby both newborn and as they get older.

Ordering in the pandemic - honest review

I ordered a Serena Rocking & Nursing Chair in Oat at the beginning of March this year after seeing it a few times online and having it recommended it by a couple of friends. After a little over 1month since I ordered it, I contacted customer service requesting an update as payment had been taken on the order date but I had received no further updates since then, so I was naturally a little concerned as for me personally, this is not an insignificant purchase. I was emailed back within 24hrs by a brilliant member of the team - Tanya - who was extremely helpful from start to finish, and highly efficient with communicating with me.

Given the situation with the pandemic and the knock-on effects this had to the business re. shipping etc. there was an extended lead time on orders, including my chair. Tanya was open and honest with her explanation about all of this and kept me in the loop every step until the product was (very gratefully!) received.

Unfortunately there was damage to the condition of the outside of the package and the screws etc required to secure the chair together were scattered throughout the box from the journey, instead of being tidily stored in the bag provided. However it did not affect the product I had purchased. Tanya had informed me of this prior to sending it on to my home address and despite the bumpy start and delays I am delighted with the quality of the product, and the customer service I received.

I'm sorry to hear that you received some sheets with a small hole. Can I ask that you write into our customer service department and of course we will replace anything that has arrived imperfect. Please be 100% reassured that we never send products that have been opened.

Unfortunately some of our lead times are a little longer than normal at the moment due to all the issues at the ports. Hopefully this won't continue much longer but you also should have been advised a delivery date at time of purchase. I'm sorry that the delivery time didn't meet your expectations but we so our very best to get goods to our customers as soon as we can.

Serena Complete Sleep Cot Bed

Our 2-year-old daughter has been in her Serena complete sleep cot bed since turned 6 months and we have loved it from day 1.

Adjustable and adaptable to her growing development, we will be able to use her cot bed for the next 3 years.
We were drawn to the modern and stylish design.

When we enquired about a replacement cover, we spoke to 2 employees that were extremely helpful (Susan and Karl). We were pointed in the right direction and cared for along the way.

I can't recommend them highly enough.

Brilliant product, excellent customer service. Highly recommended

Great company to deal with. We ordered the co-sleeper that turns into a cot. It's a lovely product. There was delays with delivery but Peter rang me to explain the situation and keep me updated. I couldn't ask for more. The product itself was easy to put together. Overall I was very impressed by the product and by the service.

Fantastic customer service with delayed delivery

Was really excited to order from the company after seeing their beautiful Instagram. We ordered the co-sleeper and the rocking chair. The chair arrived very quickly, but due to covid there was a delay with the co-sleep. I was getting really stressed since my due date was approaching, but after contacting Gaia with the issue they organized for an express delivery. Peter was lovely and even carried upstairs to my nursery! Thank you

High Quality - Great Service

We have the cot, dresser and chair. It looks terrific, beautiful and of very high quality. Delivery was fast and the delivery team were very organised and friendly. We did have a few issues with the instructions and assembly but thanks to Tanya, who responded really fast, and got an engineer to call and help us assemble by facetime. I have to admit that the personal service I received was very refreshing. I highly recommend this company.

This cot looks beautiful and it is nice…

This cot looks beautiful and it is nice and small for the size of my room. However I feel like for the price of this product and my personal experience, I wouldn’t recommend it. When it arrived there was no hole where certain parts had to connect so I had to drill my own(at 9 months pregnant) , and then there was holes that were not fully open so I couldn’t fit screws in. There was 2parts missing also. I gave it a second chance and now my baby is in the next stage so I have lowered the cot, but the design has little screw nuts all the way around, my baby bangs her head quite a lot so I’ve had to pad them up with cotton pads and tape so that she doesn’t injure herself. And it’s very low also and the side doesn’t slide down so you have to reach down quite fair to pick the baby up , particularly difficult if your placing the baby in the cot while they are already asleep as any sudden movement and they would fall a fair distance to the mattress. For me personally I’m not happy with it overall. It’s fine and it does the job but for the money it’s absolutely not worth it in my opinion.

The height of the mattress is actually governed by safety standards and not chosen by Gaia Baby. We follow these guidelines to ensure that the baby is safe in both high and low positions. I agree that this is sometimes a challenge when you first lower the cot but this should get easier soon and over time. We are also not allowed to use a "drop side" as these are banned in the EU due to safety. I'm hoping that you will also enjoy the cot when it converts to a bed and this may also demonstrate the product value i.e., that you can have a co-sleeper, cot, toddler bed and first bed for the one price. Great product and customer service

We originally got the shiny silver chair but there was an issue with the fabric. We contacted baby gaia and they were very pleasant and accommodating. Once they seen the issue they have offered is a replacement and now we got the dove colour. The chair is wonderful! I love the design and the comfort it has! Due to the covid 19 delays and the issue the also commenced us with a foot stool that is incredibly comfy and completes the experience.

Great customer service and great products!

Good look and feel, poor design.

The chair looks good and is easy to assemble but after a few weeks of use we have found that the seat slides out of position when rocking and getting it back into its original position is incredibly difficult.

This seems like a design flaw where really they should leave an extra 0.5cm of give between the cushion and the arms so that it can be more easily taken in and out.

Anyway, now we have a chair that most of the time has a 4-5cm gap between the seat cushion and the back of the chair.

We have not had this feedback before. The cushion needs to be firmly held in place for the babies and parents safety but the cushion IS removable and has a removable cover for easy washing.

Hopefully the chairs 'Newness' has now allowed a little movement so you have been able to put the cushion back in place. If not, please let us know and we will have a deeper look into this for you

Top quality product with excellent customer service! Would definitely recommend this company. Always available to provide support and even received a personal follow up email to ensure the product that was delivered met expectations (which it certainly did!). Such a disappointment

Such a disappointment. Was devastated after an 11 week ordeal. Has been returned for full refund. Delayed delivery twice. Cot arrived with wrong instructions, mismatching parts, lost complete faith in the company standards, product quality and experience. Really spoiled our experience of buying a cot for our first baby. For a luxury brand they really need to get their act together.

In the interest of clarity and balance I have looked into your delivery and have noted the following. Gaia Baby received your order from John Lewis on the 30th September and we confirmed a delivery date of the 2nd December (at the time we were out of stock)- your order was delivered on the 30th November. I do note that our delivery company did change the booking date twice and for this inconvenience we agreed to provide free product (of considerable value) and we also offered to visit you to assemble the furniture (in the interest of saving you time and further inconvenience). This past Saturday you made contact with our Director to advise you were having difficulties assembling the cot and we proposed that we would fully replace the item and deliver a new assembled unit before Thursday. Our opinion is that the assembly issues were caused by the wrong instructions being provided- for this we sincerely apologize but please note that we did notice the issue before delivery and we had asked John Lewis to supply you with the correct copy ahead of delivery. Customer service and safety are our first priority Jordan and we would have loved the chance to assemble the new cot and make everything perfect for you. Clearly we have not met your expectations and again I would like to apologize for this. We wish you every success with your new family and all the best for the future.
