Regarding scams and nuisance calls, we are Ofcom registered, fully compliant with regulations and we take the misuse of our numbers very seriously. Gamma is a business-to-business (B2B) wholesaler for number ranges to thousands of businesses across Europe. Therefore, it can appear that Gamma is making calls to the general public or able to control who uses them - this is not the case. Our numbers are being, at times, misused by other businesses, or non-Gamma numbers are ‘spoofed’ to make it appear as though Gamma is calling when this is not the case.
With that being said, we want to help clamp down on nuisance calls in any way we can. Therefore, we would be happy to investigate any reports to check the current owner of the numbers and can act where applicable if they are ours. Instead of leaving reviews, we would kindly ask that you provide the details of the numbers that have called you, including timestamps with our Misuse team. This company provides UK numbers to scammers
As other comments have suggested, this is a UK-based company that provides numbers to scammers (some located abroad and some within the UK).
A quick google search shows that their mother company Gamma Communications plc. is actually a company listed on the London Stock Exchange (AIM). It is baffling how this company has not been held accountable for providing telephone services to scammers, they are clearly aware of their very special 'customer group', as the vast majority (if not all) of their numbers have been labelled by users as scam/nuisance.

“O2” Mobile Phone SCAM/ Seeking Personal Details
An Indian-accented lady phoned saying she’s from O2 and wants to upgrade my account. I’m not even with O2 anymore so I knew straight away it was scam but people who are might be tricked. I played along with it to waste their time and she handed me over to an Indian male (who she called her “supervisor”) who sends a code from the OFFICIAL 02 text messaging service and asks you to read the code back to him. I gave him a fake number and he got really annoyed. I just wanted to report this because it is manipulative how the text comes from the official O2 number. Don’t be fooled!

Gamma Telecom - Spam Providers
Got several calls from a Gamma Telecom Holdings Limited number, They sell their numbers for spammer and crooks to use, who pay their bill with money stolen. So they are effectively complicit and profiting.
Response to gammy's reply:
The calls came from number 01133222679 on the 6th June. It shouldn't be up to victims to chase this up, A reputable company doesn't allow this to happen. And please stop trotting out the false line that crooks are spoofing your numbers, when in fact you're selling batches of numbers to them.

Another victim of scammers spoofing but a happy one!
Another victim of scammers spoofing Gamma numbers. In this case, it was a text identical to a bank verification code text but with the scammer's number as the one to call if I'd not requested it.
Having realised too late that it was a scam, I used a 'who called me' site to trace the number I'd called and that site said it was provided by Gamma.
I found them to be very responsive, kind and helpful - way, way better than the bank the scammers were impersonating!
I left a message explaining what had happened and they did a thorough check on the number, which was not one they had provided, and then Mohammed called me to talk it through.
I suggest they create a page on their site with advice for others - as there appear to be a lot at the moment - who are contacting them about this. The page could provide a place to report the number concerned (which I guess/hope their systems could immediately detect if it's one of theirs) and also give links to other sources of help and information, such as CIFAS for those of us conned into giving out personal information (the current scam).
They may also want to work out how the who-called-me sites are deciding that Gamma provided the number - it's easy to spoof a number calling a victim but I don't know how they spoof a number the victim has to call.

Yet another privately owned…
Yet another privately owned telecoms provider allowing scammers to invade people's lives. I have been contacted numerous times by companies using their services trying to pass them selves off as banks, amazon, phone companies, etc. These companies need closing down and the directors arrested on criminal charges for allowing these companies to operate!
** Again the same nonsense response from another unscrupulous company. If you can not do anything about it then you need to shut up shop. Your excuse is not valid. Nor is the so called solution of reporting every single caller! Since when has it been mine or anyone else's job to waste our time doing your job for you, while your company and directors are making millions off the back of everyone's else's pain

UPDATE - Thanks for your response Mick. We apologise if it wasn't made clear in the initial response. The majority of these calls are not Gamma numbers. They are scammers pretending they are Gamma numbers by 'spoofing' them to appear as if they are on our network. That is why we need you to provide the call details in order for us to investigate if the source is a business that uses the Gamma network, or if they are scammers using fraudulent means to fake that they are calling from a Gamma number, which unfortunately is the majority of these cases and we cannot control this.

Why do Gamma allow scammers as their customers ?

Update after Gammas response.
The number is what came up on caller ID, I used who-called-me and they said it was a Gamma number, so I reported this on that basis. You may want to contact who-called-me to make sure that they correct their database. Thanks for the fast response

I'm an AI business founder and I ran into hitch with Gamma that needed to be addressed. I can't tell you how many companies I will do my best to avoid working with if I'm locked in a loop with ai support agents. I understand policies on speaking to someone live isn't as easy as you'd think so when you have a company that encourages their human support teams (even if its email) to follow policy but also be human and use logic/some common sense, it gives me hope.
