From the Gadget Centre, it is absolutely OK...

Communication from them was excellent (several emails in addition to the online ordering form). The Gadget Centre took the particular specs and features that I needed totally on board. And as a result I have a laptop that suits my needs and wishes completely - at a very reasonable price. You can trust the Gadget Centre to get it right.

Frustrated! Ordered over 3 weeks ago and still waiting. Communication not great, no one answering the phone at all. Information given via email is basic at best. Only responded to one email.

Gadget PC deliver refurbished laptops to a very high standard. The quality control is just amazing where they replaced the keyboard to a professional standard. The quality of my new laptop is just brilliant at an amazing cost too!

Ordered and received within 3 weeks, nice little laptop, fires up fast, perfect for what I need it for.

Great Laptop at a great price, I requested Dell and got exactly what I need, It took 4 weeks but well worth the wait, nice clean looks just like new, I have had it two weeks now and no Issues at all

Excellent service and response to e-mail queries. Brought laptop for my wife as her old one would not upgrade to Windows 11 and was also running very slow. New laptop is excellent and well constructed, first class condition and is working well. Had it for a few weeks now and no issues or complaints. Would highly recommend them, I've ordered another for my Granddaughter to complete her college work.

I have had my laptop for 2 weeks now and I am really pleased with the quality and performance, just after I ordered it I contacted their Customer Services to change the spec and they were excellent, l think that’s really important with a Company, I would certainly recommend them.

Like other people still awaiting my laptop.
Looking at the reviews on Facebook I decided to go ahead and ordered a refurbished laptop.
I did check Trustpilot and it was very positive.
I ordered on the 9th October but still no idea when it will be delivered. It's seems that they just have stock emails when you ask for information they say they are short of things for the laptop.
It would be good to communicate what is happening

I was wary as I have never bought a ‘reconditioned’ electrical product before. It took a couple of weeks to arrive but am really very happy with my new laptop. It’s exactly as described and is a million times better than my old one. Would absolutely recommend these guys.

My only beef is that they were slow to produce the machine - 4 weeks. They could have been more upfront about this. Otherwise the 5* would be appropriate. However, the machine supplied is excellent. It looks and feels like a new Dell laptop and came with useful pre-installed software. I hope they do well!

I received my laptop a few weeks ago and I can say that I was truly amazed at the quality of the system. It was far above my expectations and almost seemed like a new one. My congratulations to the guys at the Gadget Centre on a truly brilliant job.

Brilliant Service, I only need a fairly basic laptop but wanted 16GB memory for performance and was struggling to find what I wanted at a reasonable price, most standard offerings only include 8GB. GC built me exactly what I wanted. Also it is blazingly fast startup, shutdown, and overall performance.

31.10.25 UPDATE: My laptop is now being built.
I placed my order 9th October 2025 via a Facebook advertisement; their claim was that the laptop would be dispatched in '3 to 7 working days'.
A receipt was sent automatically.
On 20th October I emailed in, as the telephone line was an outgoing message only. The email response was within a few hours, but no deadlines were offered.
It is now 28th October and still no other communication from the Gadget Centre.

They have over-promised and under-delivered.
If fact, delivered nothing.

I ordered a new laptop in September during a promotion and realised that if the shipping was going to be more than 5 days I would not be home, so added a note to ship it for arrival on a date 4 weeks in the future...DPD delivered it on exactly the date requested. I also added a note to have a 13 or 14" screen size which was provided. The supplied laptop is a Lenovo Thinkpad 480S and included a touchscreen which is amazing. The spec is actually better than I specified (20G RAM instead of 16)..
When I received it I did a windows update check (Its loaded with windows 11 Pro) and the only update needed was one that was released the day before.
Very happy with the performance of the PC and the service from Gadget centre.

I am impressed by the quality of the product, It looks like a brand new laptop and performs way better than any I have had before. If I were to purchase a machine of the same capabilities and specifications I would expect to pay in excess of £1000.00. The price I paid for the specification I chose, Less than £400.00. Simples!

The website says 5-7 days for the laptop build. Then 1 working day to deliver, so it should take a total of 8 working days max. However, it's been 17 working days since I made the order, which is a total of 23 days. I emailed on the 21st Oct 25 and was told that it is estimated to ship next week.

I found the whole ordeal a shambles. There's been no communication whatsoever. Only when I chased them up, did they reply with vague answers.

Truly a terrible service. My order number is #41811, if you care to respond Gadget Centre.

It takes a lot to impress me [I have lived long enough to know the difference between "genuine and to be trusted" and "wouldn't go there if you have any sense."]
To test the water, I sent a long and detailed email containing details of my, then, current laptop that required putting out to grass and an idea of what I was looking for.......and the final question was, "I hope you can help me?"
I received the most helpful reply with a recommendation based on the information I had provided. AND IT WAS NOT THE MOST EXPENSIVE OPTION!
Long story short.......I am typing this review on my NEW laptop and couldn't be happier. I applaud the aims of this company. It gives me great pleasure to say that Gadget Centre's Customer Service Dept has come up trumps. I trust this company and can recommend them unconditionally. And I don't give praise lightly.
Their Welcome Notes I found loaded on the desktop was confirmation that a sale does not end when they despatch the order.

It took a bit of time but the laptop when it arrived was in great condition and was well up to my expectations. The welcome notes were very useful as I hadn't used Windows 11 previously. Overall a good experience with Gadget Centre.
