Seems I'm not the only one regretting this.

I wanted to get some indicative ideas of moving costs, so I can decide whether to use a company or do it myself with family. I put my details in at around 19.30, hoping to get "a select list of local companies" to choose from to investigate further - and the phone started ringing literally two minutes later.

It's now 11.00am the next day, and I am fending calls / emails / texts off from dodgy-sounding removal companies from all over the country. I've blocked at least 8 already, but they just keep springing back up again on a different number.

Never, ever, ever again....

The mover we found on this site has disappeared with all our belongings. Site not replying. AVOID. I do not believe they vet the companies as they claim.

Be prepared to be hounded by companies with zero reviews and fake websites. They may be legit companies, but not that one can verify.

Best to do your search via trustpilot first, as they send your contact details to a number of other companies other than the ones they show on your "quote" summary page.

Just found it on google, I did query if it was correct as it was quite a distance from my home but yes all correct, had great communication and cost exactly what I was quoted. The two guys were fab and really efficient and hard working

Be very careful as scammers are using the Getamover business name to try and defraud money from charities and schools as well as individuals. Look out for any correspondence from a Jolene Porter in Clearance & Delivery Dept. Thankfully we managed to intercept this before payment was made.
