The worst app I've ever used, as it doesn't work properly! Absolute waste of money as I paid for the year. File transfers on phone rarely work, mainly error messages and ridiculously slow uploads desp... See more

I've been a customer since launch
I've been a customer since launch, and have had both personal accounts, which I still have, and pro business accounts. It all went downhill once they removed the public folder. Once that happened, it was just 10x worse year by year. I am not going to waste my time here explaining it all, cause they clearly do not care any longer. Class action lawsuit coming, more than likely. I mean, look at the reviews here; it's pretty obvious. I've sent them 100s of referrals, what a mistake. Service is terrible, no communication with support that is easy, I can't wait to see how hard it is to cancel my account that has been active nearly 20 years.
I changed my mind. I need to complain about their stupid sync software. How can you guys ruin something that was so great at one point? Now it's downloading 600GB even tho it's already in the folder. You degraded your product so badly that it is embarrassing. How can you screw up this badly? The amount of bandwidth you WASTE for people should be enough for a class-action lawsuit alone.
My favorite part was when 2 months ago, it decided to resync to my PC, and download the entire 2.4TB for no reason, it was already on my device, and your dump app decided to download it all over again, effectively killing my hard drive.
You are a disgrace to the startup industry, way to show us how to fail successfully! How are them "Whiskey Fridays" working out for you guys now?
(that was one of the employment perks back before they were bought out by soulless capital investors.) The common death of any tech company. Good job, idiots, you destroyed a good thing, and you desire the failure that comes with it.
Beware
Beware! Make sure you have your Emergency Code. I've had no access to 20 years of Dropbox files since I upgraded my phone last month. Same number, but it lacks the Dropbox Authenticator app for 2FA. Guess what? Can't install Dropbox Authenticator on new phone unless you're already in Dropbox. Can't log into Dropbox without Authenticator. Their only advice is to find an Emergency Code they issued years ago. I guess I'll spend another 10 hours searching for that. Meanwhile, I pay monthly for no access to my files.
Customer Service is through Zendesk so they issue the same sentences over & over with no useful insights. Last message did indicate that if I can't find the Emergency code, and give up on accessing my files, tell them and they will stop charging me. UNbelievable.
A total train wreck for client deadlines.
I’ve relied on this platform for years to archive my studio's design deliverables, but a recent sync glitch completely tanked my workflow right before a major client deadline. It randomly forced all my cloud archives to sync locally, completely maxing out my computer's storage, and then threw endless errors when I tried to reverse it. To make matters worse, their customer support is practically nonexistent now, leaving me stranded without a live person to talk to and leaving my business reputation completely exposed.

Dropbox no longer works the way it use to. Can not access files from the mobile app. Was asked to install the new app on Win11, that did not work. I don't trust it anymore, I Quit using it.
I’m unable to sign in through the…
I’m unable to sign in through the browser on my iPhone, even though I already have the app installed. It keeps saying, “It’s a new device.”
The verification code never arrives, and I don’t receive any notification in the app either.
On top of that, the account recovery form is incredibly confusing. The text is white on a white background, making it impossible to read. Some fields are completely unclear—for example, it asks for “4 digits,” but 4 digits of what? And then there’s a field for “year,” but it doesn’t explain which year it’s referring to.
I've been using this service over a DECADE
I've been using this service since university. As a content creator and eCommerce business founder using Dropbox for over 10 years, I cannot afford it's unreliability. Latest: Dropbox glitch caused huge train wreck in workflow around a deadline. Dropbox decided to sync all cloud folders, maxing out local computer storage. When I tried unsyncing, the program gave an error and said to try later. So now I have dropbox which I can't use and access on computer. I took the case to support. Unfortunately the chat was ended (due to inactivity on my part - only. 10-15min), and I was told I'd be emailed. Haven't received an email, no one responding to new chat messages. Great service guys, if you're reading this, yes I still need support -- update -- email came in 3hrs 20min after the support chat started. If you are looking to rely on Dropbox for commercial reasons, consider that the service may become intermittent and plan for these kinds of interruptions to your service. I need a reliable service or my business reputation will continue to be collateral due to Dropbox.
Locked Out of Our Paid Account and No Way to Get Help
Terrible experience.
We had a paid Dropbox account that was working perfectly fine. All we wanted to do was change the email address associated with the account for login and communication purposes. We were instructed to go into the account settings and make the change ourselves.
After following those instructions, our paid account somehow became associated with a different free Dropbox account, and now we are completely locked out of the account containing all of our files.
The most frustrating part is the lack of support. There is no meaningful live chat assistance, no customer service phone number for account issues, and the only option seems to be slow back-and-forth email communication. We don't even know what time zone the support team is in, making it incredibly difficult to get timely help.
Meanwhile, we still cannot access our files or restore our account. We even tried calling the sales number we found online, hoping someone could point us in the right direction, but it was completely useless.
For a company that stores critical business files, the level of customer support is shocking. A simple email change should not result in losing access to an account, and there should be a way to reach someone who can actually help.
Very disappointed with the entire experience.
I had an average experience with…
I had an average experience with Droplox. The platform offers some useful features and the overall concept is good, but there is definitely room for improvement.
Dropbox has terrible support
Dropbox has terrible support. They don't want you to talk to a live person. When you call them they tell you to go on the website and you can't talk to a live person. They disconnect the call and no live person.
I had a 5GB plan
I had a 5GB plan, and they deleted everything, every photo I had over 10 years, and not even a notification mail...
They really deserve to go bankrupt

When signed up I was promised with 32gb free storage. They've now decided to take this away from me and will be deleting my files. I messaged support numerous times for help, only to get an automated response closing the case. Terrible customer service
Almost impossible to cancel my plan…
Almost impossible to cancel my plan using their customer support site. They Wanted a credit card to cancel plan. I finally used ChatGPT to figure out how to cancel my plan!
This company deserves to go bankrupt
This company deserves to bankrupt in the most epic way possible. Why is it when someone shares a folder with files with me, that they already PAY for, this low level platform is asking me to pay for storage too. Nonsense and their bankrupt has been long overdue, like for 10 years. I would rather use paypal. I cannot think of a more useless service.
Zero stars should be better
Zero stars should be better. I cancelled my subscription on the day that I had gotten it. To date i have bot been assisted and nobody responds. They are still taking money from me.
I am appalled and do not recommend their services.
Terrible support
Terrible support. No humans, they don't respond to the support email they force you to use. I submitted last week,. they say they respond in 48 hours, and I've received no response. I will never use Dropbox again
I never received my order
I never received my order. They were supposed to send me a refund. They never did, instead they kept my money. I would suggest to NEVER buy from them. They are a scam. The worst company I have ever bought anything from. They take your money and do not give you the product you paid for, give the refund to only lie to you.its been 5 mos since I order.
GARBAGE DO NOT USE, IF I COULD I'D GIVE THEM A ZERO,
If I could I'd give them a 0. They deleted my very very important files and they could not be gotten back. They also make it difficult to get adequate customer service. Dropbox wont help you if you signed up through Google Play which I think alot of people did and Google is a horrible evil company, no wonder their motto is supposed to be Don't be evil.
I had had the monthly paid service of $12 and I canceled it. After I canceled it I thought well maybe thats why my videos were deleted. I hadn't checked the files first. I wasn't sure if canceling it deleted them so out of desperation I signed back up but it didn't make a difference. They said if they were deleted a hundred days ago you cant get them back ( I hadn't checked on them for awhile).
Well it turns out I thought I was signing up for their monthly service like I had before but it turned somehow I got signed up for a year and was charged $127. I think it was sneaky and it probably looked like monthly or it was hard to tell but I might just not have been looking closely.
So I asked to cancel my service. Well they canceled it and refused to give me a refund and I canceled the day after I signed up. GARBAGE DO NOT USE
The cloud service itself is okay
The cloud service itself is okay, however the app for the PC is a complete dumpster fire.
With sync on, every picture I take uploads, and then downloads it back to the phone. So I end up with 3 of everything.
Yeah I know it is a setting, but why in the hell would you release something with such an obvious and ridiculous flaw that the user now has to deal with?
I pay for mine, so that is what gets me.
Anyway, its okay, overpriced, and probably going to be replaced on my computer with the clouds that are free from about five different services I already pay for.
STOP!!!!!!!!!!!
STOP. DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS SHIT. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU UNWILLINGLY. AND WILL TAKE YOU THROUGH HELL TO CANCEL.
WORST MISTAKE CHOOSING DROPBOX
Made a mistake of choosing Dropbox when I urgently needed to deliver work. I barely made it to deadline as it took hours to upload but then they restricted my file sharing for no reason and when I contacted them they said 24 hours.
NOT RECOMMENDED!!
