We love to get more in-depth feedback from you to better understand what you mean regarding the UX. We have multiple payment methods available to load cards (e.g. credit/debit card, bank transfer, EPS and Sofort), but maybe we're missing the most popular one in Switzerland🇨🇭?

As for the higher prices, this can easily be explained. In cases where card providers (like Revolut) allow you to use their services for free, they either have investors pouring in funding to keep the program alive in the hope you'll buy other products from them, and/or they'll sell your data. We, on the other hand, are not reliant on investors because our customers are willing to pay normal fees, and also we don't sell your data to keep your privacy more secure.✌🏻

Save passwords/ID's or everything else

While Getsby might be a good website to get a temporary or permanent prepaid virtual credit card, once you forget your password or card ID, you're pretty much screwed.. In my experience, I've forgotten my password and tried to reset it multiple times. My password still did not get reset (properly) and thus it killed my trust in Getsby

The website IS safe, just their way of dealing with your data is lackluster

Good service verification couldve benn smoother

It would've been nice if during the account verification you could just drag and drop an already made selfie
Also the "Back of ID" didn't show up on the first verification batch I sent and I had to check the link in the "Under review" section to see that I could/had to submit that

Providing a proof of address is a requirement from the financial institute (DiPocket) that issues our virtual cards. This is a very common request to verify for payment cards or other financial products.

The fact that you needed to provide a proof of address, was stated in the terms & conditions you agreed to when signing up and in your account under the tab "Account status" before you ordered the card. Seeing your comment, it seems you may have overlooked this.

In case you only have a digital bank statement, telecom bill or government letter, simply take a screenshot of the full document and upload this in your account. You can also upload a pdf of the document via this form > https://getsbycard.dipocket.org/en/contact. Please be sure that the document is not dated older than 3 months for approval.

Please note that our cards are used for OpenAI/ChatGPT on a daily basis, so we can assure you that they are accepted.

OpenAI gives the following two reasons why your card may be declined:

1. You've paid for too many subscriptions using the same payment method.
For security reasons, we currently limit the number of subscriptions that can be billed to a given payment method. Right now, you'll need to use separate payment methods to purchase multiple subscriptions or write back with more information about your use case if you're trying to bulk purchase subscriptions.

2. Your bank declined the payment.
If your credit card is declined, please double check your card information, ensure you have sufficient funds, and verify your billing address (especially your zip code). Incorrect information can lead to a declined transaction. If you've double checked all of your information and are still running into trouble, please tell us the service you’re trying to pay for (ChatGPT or the API), any information your bank shared, as well as any error messages you’re seeing. We’ll do our best to help.

Stressful waste of time and money…

Not upfront about verification process which is an absolute nightmare, I haven’t even activated my card and so I was hoping to just refund it. There is no simple option to refund and have to go through customer service loops. I’ve already had a stressful day and now I’m on the verge of tears. If you’re considering this, just don’t. It’s not worth the stress.

Seeing that you already had a stressful day prior to your experience with us, we can only conclude that it fogged your visibility a bit. You were informed on these 4 moments in regards to the the verification process before paying your order:

1. When signing up with us you agreed to the Terms & Conditions
2. In your Getsby account there is a highlighted notification regarding your status (really difficult missing this one) > when clicking on it you see a clear explanation regarding the verification proces
3. On the product page the one-time verification process is mentioned in the description
4. Upon finalizing your personal information before purchasing you need to toggle a checkbox stating that your personal information matches your personal ID documents for verification

From our data, we can see that the support team responded to your refund request within 30 minutes after you completed the contact form. They informed you that the refund request will be process in accordance to our T&C's.

The reason why you have to go through a customer service loop for this, is due to AML guidelines. Otherwise criminals could use stolen credit cards to buy prepaid cards, and quickly offload them before being verified. If it was your credit card that was stolen, you'd be happy with the lack of this "simple option".

We recommend relaxing the rest of the weekend to destress 😎 and next time please read the provided information when purchasing/signing up for a financial/prepaid product. #adviceoftheday

Poor Service and Lack of Transparency: My Experience with Getsby

I had an extremely negative experience with Getsby. Despite following all of their steps to verify my account, I never received my disposable debt card, which I needed to use. Getsby failed to provide any indication of how long verification would take, leaving me in the dark and unsure of when I would be able to use my card.

To make matters worse, when I attempted to get a refund, I found the process to be unreasonably difficult. Getsby did not provide a simple button to "Refund to original payment method," making the process unnecessarily complicated and frustrating.

Unfortunately, my experience is not unique. Other customers have complained about similar issues with Getsby, and it appears that nothing has been done to address the problems. At the very least, Getsby should be transparent about the fact that obtaining a disposable debt card is not an instant process unless already registered and verified.

As a result of Getsby's poor service, I missed out on a once-in-a-lifetime sale and was left feeling disappointed and frustrated. I would strongly advise others to consider alternative options that are more reliable and customer-friendly.
