Left wondering what's going on!

After uploading my documents to prove my identity, I'm currently 'hanging in limbo'. I have no idea how longer verification takes, if it's working, or if a bunch of criminals are roaming the internet and high streets pretending to be me!

I would urge whoever works at Getsby to highlight this waiting time and explain the entire process in much deeper and more honest detail on the website.

As a customer, I'm left with a thousand and one images in my head of my identity being stolen while I sit here and let it happen.

Getsby, this is not a good onboarding experience, however compulsory it is. You, as the company, need to address this problem and own this experience so that the customer feels safe and secure. Not left wondering if they've made a giant mistake.

If you’re a skeptic looking for a nudge, wondering if Getsby is worth the ‘sign-up hassle’, I’d say yes.
Some kinks in their system need ironing out, with that said, sign up. Getsby is not a scam. My card works 100%. And, I very happy with it.

I need to sent a picture of my proof of address but i didnt know that before i paid otherwise i wouldnt have done it and besides that i dont own my own house and my parents arent gonna let me take a picture of this so i lost 28 euros to this nonsense

Upon review of the system, it seems that you were able to upload selfies and a valid copy of your ID to start the verification process. However the provided proof of address did not meet the requirements. Therefore, the compliance team requested a new proof of address.

Seeing your comment that you do not own your own house, but are over 18 yo, we advise you to provide any of the following documents as proof of address:

- a bank statement showing transactions (dated in the last three months)
- a telephone bill (dated in the last three months)
- a letter from the government/tax office (dated in the last three months)

After uploading one of the mentioned documents, you will have access to your account.

Cards are inaccessible and procedure is awfully long.

The procdure on the green card is taking days to verify which wasn't mention before hand.
Tried activating my balc card but the site claims I have another phone number already insterted into the system.
So If you see this I really don't recommend going throught if you're considering. 1/5

Unfortunately, Trustpilot wants to remain "neutral" by keeping the review online, thus siding with the reviewer. We therefore feel obligated to share more context.

This customer committed forgery by signing up under false personal details. This came to light during the verification process, which is why it took longer for the compliance team to check the provided documents. In line with Directive (EU) 2017/1371 Article 3(2), we are prohibited to provide our services under false intents.

From our perspective this review is nothing else than an eye-for-an-eye, as he got caught in the act. However, we do not tolerate slander, injustice nor breaking the law.

Good and working service!

Tried this service today with little hopes since i never heard of this before. I was sceptic and a bit suspicious because of all the details they asked. After submitting everything they needed i waited and after a little 30 mins of waiting my green card was activated. And i now have the asked amount on the card it self. Not sure why others had a bad experience with this service but my experience is so far very pleasant. Wil use more! Thanks GetsBy!

Doesn't work

Doesn't work. I needed a online credit card to pay 5 euro's. Follewed all kinds of procedures, uploaded sensitive documents and finally I got nothing. Giving up. Glad I only lost $5 (+3$ fee !).

Should try it out if you need a virtual mastercard card

Hello. This website seemed sketchy at first but I still went for it, but after some clunky id showing and all of that, they give what they promise, they reply within an hour if you have a question about something, its just a well made website/company, thanks for being this helpful, I first bought a card here because I wanted to buy some sneakers on dhgate and it worked! They got shipped and are on their way, but then i added more money to buy again from dhgate and now i m having problems, but I m pretty sure it isn’t because to getsby.

I cannot access my money anymore :/

My card with more than 100 Dollars left apparently does not get automatically renewed. This means that I cannot access my money anymore. I would now have to manually apply for a renewal using an old-fashined form, pay money(!), and send in my ID. Instead, I asked them to just send the money back to my account that I originally used. But this is also not possible without manually filling out an old-fashined form and sending in my ID. Setting up my card didn't require any of this, so what would they even compare my ID to? All of this leaves me with the feeling that they want to intentionally complicate things so much that they can keep the money in the end.

Thank you for your review. We are quite surprised by the rating as we've given you two proper options to get access to the funds or your expired gift card: 1. transfer funds to a new card, or 2. have the funds transferred back to your bank account.

The reason why an ID is requested, is because we wouldn't want someone else to falsely claim the balance on your behalf without you knowing it. Therefore, to process one or the other, we have to provide documentation to the issuing bank according to EU AML regulations.

Rest assured, we are happy to provide you the remaining balance, but it must be done accordingly. Thank you for your understanding.

Awful

I can't receive the SMS to activate the card. Tried 3 different numbers from the UK, Vietnam and Indonesia. None worked. Then tried to login. Says my saved password is incorrect! So I tried the password reset. Didn't get the password reset email. Avoid this service like you avoid cancer.

In case you wish to offload the funds straight away, please follow the next steps. Go to the "offload funds" tab in your card account. Enter the IBAN and BIC/SWIFT code of your bank account and press "confirm". After confirmation, it will take up to 2 business days for the funds to be back in your bank account.

Clunky to set up. Smooth afterwards

Verification process could use some updating. Right now it says it requires a webcam. Being able to also upload pictures would be much better. I got around it by using my Smartphone as a webcam but it wasn't ideal.

It's also a bit odd that it uses two different websites. One for your account and then a separate one for your virtual cards. Could probably be streamlined to only use one website and login.

Other than that I am using it to donate to Kickstarter, which works perfectly fine. Fees seem reasonable and after setting up a new card it's usually ready to go in less than half an hour.

Tried to buy a virtual credit card via…

Tried to buy a virtual credit card via onlinebanking payment from my german bank. The money was directly taken from my bank account, however they want you to go trough an absolute st**id verification process which they don't tell you about beforehand.
The verification process requires you to have a webcam and send them your ID using THAT webcam.
I tried to contact them and tell them that i don't have a webcam and send them pictures from my phone instead, which they denied.
