We have dealt with Gillies before and decided that if buying a top of the range recliner chair that Gillies would be a good choice. The process was rather longer than we were expecting but we probably were well advised in the options available.
The delivery team were exceptionally professional and delivered the chair with minimum fuss. Their explanation about the functions of the chair was first class

Gillies have a great range of products and their sales staff are extremely knowledgeable and helpful, with no hard sell. They are friendly and relaxed and help you to get what will suit you in a pleasant environment. Their delivery guys are also excellent, careful and mindful of your home and new furniture .

I found the salesman Stuart very helpful and took loads of time with us showing us different sofas till we found the right one ,never felt under pressure to buy .

The salesman was very helpful and communication on how to arrange fitting and payment was excellent. The fitters phoned to say they were ahead of schedule and could come earlier which was fantastic. They did an excellent job and were neat and tidy, I was really pleased with the result. However, they did have to take a cupboard door off and a joiner was to come and take some wood off the bottom of it and I have had to phone to ask when this will happen which is not so good, hence the 4⭐️rating as I have all the contents of the cupboard lying in my dining room.

Broughty Ferry: Luke’s relaxed, courteous, polite and gentle approach to sales is a joy (and no, I’m not a relative or an employee).
Full marks to the delivery guys too.

From first contact in the showroom to the delivery and fitting guys leaving, everything was first class. Carpet fitters on Monday, bed and bedroom furniture delivered on Wednesday, all workers a credit to the company.

Good product and delivered efficiently and on time

From the first time I entered Gillies to signing the paperwork, the staff were polite, friendly and professional. I have bought items on two separate occasions and Luke was a pleasure to discuss things with, knowledgeable, professional and know his stuff. The first purchase, staff kindly allowed me to see some individual items against a sofa combination by binging these together in the shop, very helpful. The second purchase was mainly bought from brochure and Luke worked hard to get info and picts for the pieces of interest which was very helpful. When I realised “what I liked” was not in budget, Luke very kindly talked through financing options and a deal was done. Although there are many options out there, I will always make an effort to visit Gillies for furniture shopping.

Gillies customer service is excellent; nice people with professional knowledge - very supportive. Clare from Broughty Ferry shop was particularly helpful. Delivery Team was great too - very quick - assembled all furniture following delivery - nice people. Pleasure to buy :)
