The team with GCS are outstanding. There are a number of challenges with most moves, let alone relocation. All members are prompt, thoughtful and knowledgeable in their approach. We experienced a few last minute legislation changes that affected our circumstances. But let us know immediately. So much so we showed up to a few appointments shocking the interviewer with how thorough our application was. Special shoutout to Alícia, Rachel and Luan for getting us over the finish line. Highly recommend!

Global Citizens Solutions greatly simplified our move to Portugal. The personable staff kept us informed every step of the way, and provided us with helpful updates to the various processes, both in our country of origin and destination.

The expat community will generally warn new members against employing "expensive" consultants, claiming that a Do-It-Yourself approach is better. The same community members then inevitably share nightmare stories about various delays and problems they faced. With GCS helping us, we faced none of these issues; our move was smooth.

Less than one year elapsed from the date we first contacted GCS to the receipt of our Resident cards at our new home address. There is no way we could have done the move that quickly and pain-free without the help of Patricia and her team (Ana, Barbara and others), and their associates at GoldCrest.

The company are expert at navigating Portugal D7 visa process. But what they do best is the personal presence and guidance at our AIMA appointment. We had 2 appointment in totally separate parts of Portugal. But we had fantastic representation at both offices that made each one very easy for us.

Woman was very terse. Did not seem at all helpful or excited about helping me if you will. Looked me up and down multiple times in an uncomfortable discourteous manner. Kept repeating multiple times I'd have to pass a language test which I already knew and had acknowledged seeming to indicate she doubted whether i knew the language. Generally unfriendly. Seemed to dislike her job and or me as a client. Would not prefer to use.
Uodate: Rude, disrespectful agent tells me my great grandparents being from a certain country is IRRELEVANT and says I'm not of an ethnicity because my grandparents didn't formally become citizens. This company is reprehensible and should fire its disgusting staff. Oh, excuse me? Language tests are not discussed in a first interview as a barrier?! Yes, it was as i said mentioned numerous times with the implications being the agent did not think I knew the language, which as a matter of fact, I do. The reasons to this review shows either complete ignorance of how staffs is operating or blatant lies to defend what is clearly indefensible.

I have absolutely loved my experience with global citizen solutions. They have helped us navigate through all of the paperwork, investments, & law changes of gaining a Portuguese Golden Visa and citizenship.

It is not an easy process by any means, but would have been impossible without their guidance. While we are still "in the weeds" of governmental red tape, we have been able to send through our investments, and begin to receive our yearly ROIs.

GCS has been incredibly responsive, communicative, and proactive. Garnering a second citizenship is not for the faint of heart, but if you are willing to do the process, I would not want to go through with anyone else!

Update: At the time I wrote my initial review (November 2024) I also reached out to Global Citizen Solutions to provide my feedback directly. Since providing my feedback, they have re-engaged in our case and we are getting the service they initially promised. I am satisfied and appreciate that they listened to my feedback and took action. We still do not have our residency permit, but they are being proactive and we are making progress.

Original Review: Global Citizen Solutions advertises “100% success rate” with Golden Visa in Portugal and that is not true. We submitted our application through Global Citizen Solutions in December 2021, had biometrics done in Feb 2023, and still do not have the initial visa (November 2024). This company also states that you will get a “dedicated account manager to support you throughout the process” which is misleading. They introduced us to a law firm in Portugal and since then I have not heard anything from them other than mass marketing emails. When I have reached out to express my concerns, they offer no guidance or solutions and direct me back to the law firm.

One of the best immigration companies in Portugal! The team is professional, dedicated, and highly experienced. They are honest, transparent, and exceptionally competent. Everyone is kind and pleasant to work with. They offer a wide variety of immigration services, making the process smooth and stress-free. Highly recommended!

After I posted my last review, my contact at global citizens , Patricia, reached out for the first time. She wrote that she’s been aware of the situation with the bank yet she only now contacted me specifically to ask me to remove my review. She did not care about what was happening with my account until it somehow impacted her. I would strongly advise anyone looking to do a golden visa in Portugal to go a different route with a more reputable agency.
