How much does it cost?

Can I make international calls?
Yes. YO Calls lets you make outbound international calls from a temporary Global YO calling number — $6 in credit for $2.99. Useful for hotels, restaurants, embassies, anyone not on WhatsApp. The number isn't permanent and isn't tied to your account between trips.

What are YOYO$?
YOYO$ are Global YO's in-app token. 100 YOYO$ = $1 USD. Earn on every plan and referral, spend on future plans (up to 100% off). No expiry as long as you earn at least once per calendar year.

What devices work with Global YO?
Any eSIM-capable phone. Most iPhones (XS and newer) and major Android phones (Pixel 3+, Samsung Galaxy S20+, etc.) support eSIMs. See the full compatibility list in the app.

Can I use my regular SIM at the same time?

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever. Bought 4 eSIMs non of them work. Used eSIMs before with them and regular it doesn’t work. I suggest to stay away from them. You buy a eSIM with no service. And the worst customer experience I have ever had. Currently trying to get a refund but these scammers don’t respond.

Sim card did not work and no response from support offered - avoid globalyo

I purchased two travel sim cards for India in July 2025. I have installed both sim cards while in home country. However, none of the sim cards worked when landed in India. It can be validated by 0 GB usage on those two sim cards. I ended up buying new cards from India. I have contacted globalyo support many times via email, however no response. It seems like a scam now!
In the past I have used their sim cards, no issues. Something must have happed now to global yo team. No response from the support team after repeated email. Wasted my money. I will never buy another sim card from globalyo.

GlobalYo Post-travel customer care great

I’ve used GlobalYo eSims a few times now without any issues, this time however I wasn’t able to connect to mobile data at all.
I contacted the support team who were a little slow to reply while I was still abroad. Ultimately the issues wasn’t resolved while I was there.
I contacted them after I was home and Ninja Marya was amazing in sorting out a refund for the unused eSims for me. Thanks again Marya!

Terrible support

I have used them for roughly a year and had a good experience with them, even encouraged people to use it, until now. The esim I bought is not installing (I'm getting a message to contact the provider) and when I try to talk to them about it they responded initially, but stopped a couple messages after. They keep disconnecting me without putting me through to someone (hence I can't get through to someone or get a refund). I'm stuck in Vietnam and Thailand with no data and am going to have to buy a physical SIM. That is 30 bucks down the drain just because these people couldn't be bothered to check their chat or emails.

Edit: they resolved the issue after I posted the review

Unreliable Service and Unresponsive Support

I purchased an eSIM through this application and followed all the instructions provided. While the eSIM appeared to activate correctly, the internet connection was extremely poor, constantly dropping every minute, and I was unable to use even basic apps like Google Maps.

I reached out to customer support, but they were unresponsive. Once it became clear the issue was on their side, they simply stopped replying altogether.

Support left me without service

I've previously used their service (on 3 occasions in 2024 - same phone, same country) without any issues but my recent experience was a disaster.
The eSim installed without issue but failed to connect to the provider (USA-Verizon). This was across 5 states so it wasn't a location specific issue.
I tried using the support but that was a total failure. Kept getting what appeared to be canned responses and the "Ticket has been closed" without any solution. Then they just stopped responding.

I requested a refund but that, like their support, appears to be non-existant as well.

UPDATE: After GlobalYO reached out to me (see response), I contacted Ricardo who was able to process the refund request.

My eSIM worked ok in a couple of countries, but stopped working in Italy. The customer service is terrible - I kept attempting to contact customer support who were extremely unhelpful and kept closing my ticket and providing the same response. I would not recommend
