AVOID THIS COMPANY!
Placed an order on 22/02/2023.
As I hadn’t had an update or received the order, I contacted Godfrey on Thursday 30/03/2023, and spoke with Sara.
I provided my order number and and it was evident by Sara’s reaction that the order had not been dealt with, however, Sara did advise me that she would expedite the order and could expect it the following week.
I waited a further 3 weeks, to allow for the Easter break, and again contacted Godfrey on Monday 17/04/2023 as I hadn’t received the order, and spoke with Sara.
Sara remembered having previously spoken with me, and after checking, explained that the order was waiting for one of the order items to be embroidered, and that the order would be posted on 18/04/2023 or 19/04/2023.
I raised my concerns regarding the timescales, since placing the order, and the time it had taken to deal with it. Sara explained that Godfrey had gone through a change of server, which had caused delays to orders and that they are an international company, which deals with orders worldwide. She also stated that orders can usually take up to six weeks to deal with.
On Wednesday 19/04/2023, however, on inspecting the t-shirt with the embroidery, it was found to be of a poor standard, with letters in varying sizes and a loose thread on one of the letters (see attached photo).
I sent an email to complain on the following:
•The order not being dealt with until I contacted Godfreys
•The lack of communication from Godfreys
•The poor standard of the the product ordered
•No apology at any time during communication
•No offer of compensation
The poor service is not acceptable, and changes to a server are not the concern of the customer. If Godfreys were not in a position to deal with orders due to changes in their server, then they should have stopped taking orders until that was resolved.
The lack of communication from Godfreys is non-existent, and demonstrates that the orders received are not monitored from progress, to ensure customers are updated for any delays or issues with orders.
The quality of the product provided is of a poor standard, and again evident that no quality assurance is carried out before items are distributed.
Although Sara was polite at all times throughout telephone conversations, there was no offer of an apology or over concern that the order hadn’t been dealt with in the first instance or any urgency to expedite the order or offer of compensation for the delay in the order.
