Absolute SH*TE customer service!!

Despite having such an expensive clothing range, Gorman's customer service is pretty pathetic or non-existent. No one ever answers the customer service number and they take minimum 3 days to reply to a complaint via email. Overall SH*TE service!

I bought two dresses for my mom's birthday.

I didn't have any issues with the website or the delivery (was shipped 3 days later and delivered by AusPost another 2 days later).

In terms of the fit, it's definitely a looser fit - but this is in keeping with the overall style of those dresses (the dresses aren't meant to hug you). In terms of the quality, it's pricey but high quality as I've come to expect from Gorman. I usually don't buy from Gorman too often because of the high price, but when it's on sale I do indulge and I still have shirts and dresses from Gorman that have kept in great condition many years later.

I'm a little shocked by the online rating. But I understand that experiences will vary and I've been quite fortunate in comparison!

UDATE - I able to get a response after a bit of a wait (2 weeks). The dress is well made but the material is different to what I was expecting and I think it might fade after washing. Other than the time it takes for customer service to respond I was happy with what I got. Will shop here again. They have some really cool items.

Gorman is an inclusive and beautiful clothing brand. They have sizes from 6 to 20 and are ethically sourced and made. I love wearing their product and always experience above and beyond service in their stores. Extremely sad to read the horrible reviews over norhing on here.

I really wished I had read all the feedback here before purchasing. I like the designs but the weave is so thin that it's see-through. I always have to wear something underneath which takes away the benefit of a t-shirt. As mentioned previously, you get store credit, which is so stupid when you genuinely do not like the quality of the shirts.

Really bad quality clothes. I have bought a skirt and a sweater from Gorman. Both on sale but I'm glad that I at least didn't pay full price for them although they are still far too expensive for the quality. The sweater is rough to the touch, it feels and looks cheap even if I had bought it in a fast fashion store. But this one originally costs $200+. The sweater also wrinkles on the attachments between the body and the sleeves, despite being hand-washed with cold water and soft laundry liquid. I have had sweaters that cost less, but of much better quality. No more Gorman for me.

Maybe your poor website experience eg click on item to view and after does not return you to where you were - sometimes you’re near the end of the search and takes you back to the beginning, so have to scroll forever back to where you were! This may be causing your poor online sales!

Similar negative experience to others here - bought three items, waited a couple of weeks and then received a generic email from Gorman saying items were unavailable ("unsourced"). $15.00 NZ-shipping fee has not been refunded in spite of receiving none of the order.

Terrible online shopping experience. Purchased rain jacket and other items, several weeks later still not arrived, eventually I get a refund emailed due to 'not available' and missed the camping trip that I needed the jacket for.

The staff in shops lies about their return policies to push you to purchase and when you want to return the product and get a refund as they advised, they deny what they told you and don't want to refund!!!

Gorman products are good, not exceptional quality but still ok. I purchased some items online but a few items were not included in the order (even though the dispatch slip and email confirmation said all items had been shipped). No luck contacting anyone at Gorman; emails and calls go unanswered. Please take your money elsewhere and support other brands that care about their customers.

Gorman shipped me the wrong item, fine, but have since refused to give me a refund or replacement for returning the item, and have only offered credit, which I consider to be inconsistent with the Australian Consumer Law.

It has taken 2 weeks, 8 emails and 1 in store visit and I am still yet to receive a refund. Every email is from a different customer service team member and ignores the emails below which is incredibly frustrating. I am a long time Gorman customer, and it shouldn’t be this hard for me to get a replacement or refund on a $29 item, especially when Gorman is at fault. I will also be referring their representations in relation to my rights to the regulator. Incredibly disappointing, I expect more from Gorman.

I have to say how disappointing Gorman's online exchange service has turned out to be for me.

I bought an item online, and it turned out to be way to small. So I sent it back, availing of their online exchange service.

Weeks and weeks went by and I hadn't heard from them. I tried calling (no answer) and then emailed customer service. I had one reply asking for the tracking number, and then nothing.

Today I received an email from Gorman saying they are giving me a "GIFT" of an online voucher, which will expire on the day it was sent?
Firstly, this is not a gift, it is a refund - that customers are entitled to under their consumer rights.
Secondly, how rubbish to issue a refund voucher with one day in which to use it.. This would surely not be the case when purchasing items in-store.

Disappointing but also, I don't feel surprised?

Similar experience to other people here. Bought online, sizing erratic, sent back, have delivery confirmation but at first they said not received then stopped answering my emails.So disappointing.

To be honest, I'm a little shocked reading these reviews, I shop at Gorman time and time again and I've never been disappointed by their clothing! I've never bought anything online from them though as I can just walk to my local one so I can't really speak about their ecommerce. I will say their sizes run a little big but that's why I shop in-store.

Gorman gives the impression on its website that it is an Australian company selling Australian made clothing. On this basis, I bought some facemasks from them. When they arrived, I discovered they were made in China. I tried to contact Gorman directly but after days, they have not replied to me.
Do not be fooled into thinking you are buying a local product because if my experience is anything to go by, you will not be!

Unlike anyone online store I have ever bought from BEWARE you CANNOT receive a refund from this store. You are only given store credit. I’m a size 14. Bought 2 dresses came to a high $366. Checked the sizing and bought as suggested. Dresses were huge- even the small (given I’m a healthy 14) was too big. When I returned was told they only give a store credit. Absolutely disgusted with the theft of my money. I do not ever want to shop here again and am down $366.can’t believe a Australian store would have such a archaic policy.

Awful service. They sent out wrong item but my niece wore briefly as she didn't know it was incorrect. Gorman made me pay for item even though it wasn't my mistake.

Their stuff is interesting and I have previously shopped a lot at this store but I do find the bright colours fade and doesn't last that well. The customer service is terrible. I bought a coat on line and only realised when I wore it months later that they had left the security tag on (black tag on black pattered coat). I went in store to get it removed and was treated like I'd stolen it as by that stage I couldn't find the email receipt. I was practically in tears over being given the 3rd degree and was then accused of making the shop assistant uncomfortable.
I did complain and got a computer response and a survey to do.
I will never shop here again.

Purchased shoes from Gorman in the city which I ended up returning later as they were too small. I was happy to receive a credit note but was told I couldn't and had to then and there select something. Everything I choose they didn't have my size. I found it bizarre they couldn't give me a credit note?? I ended up leaving with my shoes - I have never bought anything from Gorman before and will NOT be stepping foot inside the stores again. I expected much more from a company who portrays themselves as fashion forward. The whole experience was odd and out of date!!
