Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the service, citing issues with customer support being largely unavailable, unhelpful, or difficult to access. People also frequently reported problems with pricing, including unexpected additional charges and discrepancies between quoted and final fares. The app itself was a source of frustration for many, with complaints about bugs, poor localization, and general unreliability. Delivery services were also a major point of contention, with numerous accounts of delayed, undelivered, or incorrect orders. Some people were dissatisfied with the drivers' conduct, mentioning instances of rudeness, unsafe driving, and overcharging. Additionally, some customers found the app’s features, such as estimated time of arrival (ETA) and "priority" deliveries, to be consistently inaccurate and unreliable.

Delivery riders are rude

Delivery riders are rude in the Philippines. This has happened several times over the period of 3 months. You pay for the delivery and what you get is a bad attitude. Grab is only focused on making money and not about the customer experience.

ZERO accountability from Grab

My pin/current location or home address is pinned in a different city. The most confusing part is, our house no., street & subdivision is correct except the city — wtf?

Obviously (I had no idea) the rider went to a different city and I had to book another rider just to get my paid groceries. I contacted grab support but nothing was addressed properly and instead of admitting their incompetence, they suspended the rider!

Grab has ZERO accountability for their mistakes. Often, they transfer the blame to their riders or merchants just to save face.

Grab counter outside of T1 Manila..

Hi all! Last month{July 2025}, I flew into T1 NAIA Manila; a terminal that I rarely ever use. Most times, it's T3. I needed to get to T3 from T1, & we used the Grab counter outside of the terminal{of T1}. In brief, DON'T do that! The Grab guy said it would be 290 Pesos, & that for less than 15 minutes. We were in a hurry, so decided to accept that price. My tip is to do your Grab yourself, which will mean picking up a car somewhere else in/around that T1. I think P290 is a bit of an overcharge. Be warned!..

Tolls payed twice

In Bali, the driver ask us for money to pay a toll, we gave him (notes) and then he added the toll again to be charged in the credit card. We just noticed that after 24 hours so grab didn't return us the money, what I find unacceptable.

It’s useful as we don’t have much options in Malaysia, but actually when you submit an order doesn’t matter how long takes even few hours there no way to cancel so it’s like customers are not important and priority but if even restaurants doing something wrong we need to invest our money and time to flag it, if they come back to you only can go through the problem

Grab has zero regard and care for its customers.

Grab has zero regard and care for its customers. In the Philippines, there is no customer support whatsoever. Most drivers and riders are rude, mean, and never reply. Ive had numerous times where my food delivery is never delivered to me but on the app the rider will complete it and never reply to messages. And the only thing you can do is submit a form which will take days for them to investigate but nothing ever happens. I am mind blown as to how GRAB is still allowed to operate. Just look at all the reviews. They need to be investigated and shut down.

Quality of service sucks

They no longer QC their food merchant or drivers, I'm not saying there aren't any good drivers or merchants out there but the quality of service contrast widely from their competitors. Drivers simply cancel at the last minute with no consideration that customers had to wait 10mins for them to arrive, giving a compensation voucher is not the solution, everyone's time is at stake. Imagine the entire ordeal took someone 30mins to get a ride entirely. It's bs honestly and I'm quite near boycotting grab services altogether.

There should be a feedback/rating option for customers who experienced drivers cancelling their ride and not picking up their customers with no valid reason!

Chaotic and zero intuitive

As long as we allow the most dumb losers to program apps like this the world will be lost thats for sure.

Obviously programmed by total amateurs (not even a change of country works!!!)

Chaotic and zero intuitive.

Thats pretty much the result of the last fools with zero skills and less than zero positive intentions !!!

Simply sick !

Extra surcharges added to final fares

We used Grab in Bali and Kuala Lumpur. It was good in Bali but in Kuala Lumpur we had one driver that added extra tolls and surcharges. Our journey back from Genting cost 30% more than our journey there.

There's also an extra surcharge for using an overseas credit card even though you're paying in their currency.

Overall using a Grab is convenient but the price your see won't be the price you pay as drivers can add whatever they want. If you are on holiday and leaving soon, you won't have time to dispute the costs because once you've left the country, the app says you're out of region so you can't dispute.

Works like a charm on Borneo.

Works like a charm on Borneo.

Solid service, app works perfectly fine. A bit difficult to navigate to a solution so you can pay for services in cash instead, as my card was suddenly and unexpectedly cancelled by my bank. But that's not Grab's fault. Everything was solved eventually.

Three drivers cancel last minute after I have assured them I was waiting and after waiting for them. One tried to convince me in messages to go to a different destination (another shopping mall), made me wait 10 min and then cancelled when he was 1 min away. Poor Grab complaints policy as well.

works sometimes

Tried to make an advance booking but the app simply refuses in the final step. It doesn't give an error or suggestion of what is wrong, the schedule button just blinks. I have made advance bookings before. It works one day, but not the next which is unreliable and useless.
Tried with different accounts, destinations, etc.
Tried to contact support, but could not get thru.

Driver refused to cancel job due to…

Driver refused to cancel job due to having a suitcase, he was asked politely so we could arrange another vechile and swore and threatened my father and nephew for no reason. Then drove of like a little b**** so he can rob 21RM from my bank account. I believe he could have been under the influence or drugs or alcohol due to his aggressive rudeness but very sad to see a Muslim drink let alone drink driving and endangering customers.

I could not book another Grab due to this and wasted over 30 minutes of my life. His face will now be put everywhere in the internet, Instagram, Tik Tok and all social media platforms. This is an extremely bad look for Grab.

His details are below for others to avoid.

Grab non longer works for overseas…

Grab non longer works for overseas visitors. Its Rubbish. I was using grab last visit in Dec/Jan. Charging an Attached cr card. Now they have changed it so that they not only deliberately collect all of your cr cards. But refuse to accept them including Visa/Master card. And you cant pay with a friend’s GCash account because they dont allow that function with an Australian Mobile # - USE a taxi. They have become more nuisance value then they are worth and you have question why they keep collecting visa and master card data when they DONT accept themcolud be passing that data on?

Why was the hotline or email using a robot and will never respond?!
And the driver is always debating on 'cash' payment even though we have clicked on the promotional code offer from the company and explained to them?
The worst part is that the driver will argue with you during the route!?
Grab should have created a code instead of cash for their knowledge.

A Grab driver Pattaya Racist and Aggressive …

A Grab driver ending in 2813 in Pattaya Thailand refused to drop myself, my sister and mother at the drop-off place for destination. He expected my elderly mother to walk. I demanded that he drop us at the correct place, he became aggressive, started shouting and swore at us. He shouted ‘Indian Shit, this is Thailand’. I reported the racist altercation to Grab customer service and they have not responded.
