GROENRIJK DEN BOSCH

This shop in Groenrijk Den Bosch has deeply disappointed me. I had to return an artificial flower due to allergy because it contained glitter. When I approached their customer service the next day, they refused to accept the item, no voucher, no exchange. When I asked if I could replace it with another flower that fell under the 30%, not this flower. This was not possible either. I left with NO OPTION! I was so shocked and dismayed. How was this possible? Customer service reasoning was that it fell under the 30% discount, thus, no return and no exchange. But there was nothing about this policy on the receipt, the cashier did not inform me about it and there was no notice about these rules in the area where I picked up the fake flower. You are supposed to merrily look for the items in the shop and not busily look for the rules and regulations. So was I supposed to know? This wasn't even WRITTEN on their website? It says, you get a voucher.
This made me feel trapped with a purchase I didn't want at all. It feels like I was forced to keep the items even though I was unhappy with them. This goes against the very essence of customer service. I am calling the attention of consumer organisations namely Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets, legal assistance etc. to address this issue, as it is simply unacceptable to limit customer choices in this way. All in all, this experience was far from customer-friendly and I hope the shop reconsiders its policy to better serve its customers.
