What a complete waste of time.
It seemed easy to use and fast to implement at first, so our company gave it a try using their free version.
When we decided it's good enough for us, we wanted to move forward to the paid version to have more functionality, only to discover that on the paid version you no longer can have your URLs intact, and it's mandatory to change them.
Completely absurd. In the free version you don't have to change any URLs, but then you pay for a subscription and you're no longer able to have that ????
This is the first software in the world where you have less options after paying. What a joke.

Pathetic Tool. It just messes up with the SEO value of the website and gradually takes away all the traffic. A strict "No" to this tool if you are looking to grow the website traffic.

After one year and half and over $300 in paid bills, today, the 7th of March 2025, I just deleted GTranslate due to absolutely unprofessional customer support. It’s the worst support I experienced so far since I started using WP 18 years ago. Everything seemed nice, plugin had some issues which was fixed thanks to the support team. Yesterday, I’ve add another “Startup” subscription for my second site (in total $480/year) and I just needed to get some details fixed. Suzan Shahinyan (technical team expert) got in touch with me today. I tried to explain her the issue and she replied in such a disrespectful way that first I needed to read her message a few times as I didn’t believe what I saw. Everybody can have a really bad day, so I decided to kindly ask her to reconsider her behavior in order to give her a chance to make things right but, it just got worse; her answer was “Please don’t make thing complicated for no reason”. So I sent a complaint to the founder Edvard Ananyan and the deputy CEO Rafael Hovhannisyan. Rafael got back to me pretty quickly saying that the conversation went a wrong way. When I asked him to please be more specific about what this actually means, he replied that I wasn’t constructive. So I decided to do a constructive thing and I’ve cancelled all payments and I deinstalled GTranslate. By the way, I was wondering all the time why Google keeps me banned sending me constantly alerts since I’m using GTranslate. Trying to find the complaint page of GTranslate, Google suggested me as first result a link with the title "How GTranslate plugin destroyed our 2M website". Finally, I was able to understand why Google was keeping my website practically unvisible since I started using GTranslate.

I am very pleased with their translation for websites which I have been using.
But I am pleased with the service of one of their agents, Vahan, who has been very patient dealing with my enquiry earlier.
I admit I didn't understand at first what he was explaining me, but during the whole exchange ; he has been very professional and patient.

I switched from Weglot to GTranslate and I have never met such a super good support. Manuel translation is also very easy.

I was looking for a plugin to translate the contents of my site from into English: even though I had set up Gtranslate only for this purpose, I found myself with translations in Dutch, Spanish, French, Cambodian... Created without me asking for it. Gtranslate automatically translates your content into numerous languages, causing a sudden multiplication of pages indexed by Google and putting you at risk of being penalized. It doesn't matter if your site's language selector only shows two languages, the content gets translated and put online anyway. Totally insane.

DO NOT INSTALL THIS PLUGIN!!!

This plugin completely ruined my sites Hreflang and messed it up so bad that whenever your search for an article on my site with the site name in Google it will come up but in a different language like Polish or Cambodian. It messed up our whole site and will take month and months to fix. NEVER INSTALL.

Never in my life have I seen customer service that is so rude and responds in a crazy way to customers. You pay to have customer service that not only doesn't help you solve problems, but also gives you the fault (even if it's a bug on the site) and even demands that you do their job. Very bad translation quality, all to be reviewed. If you want to throw your money away this is the right plugin. Given the number of negative comments about support, I should have read the reviews first!

Please do not buy any of their subscription, thier plugin killed my website and became inaccessible, I've requested a refund also but it seems they don't want to give a refund, I had to raise a dispute to Paypal, hopefully paypal will be able to get back my money. Also their support is terrible I've never seen so rude people oh my god....

I’m a customer since 5 years, more or less, and I can say that the GTranslate support team are not skilled. We have since 6 moths an issue that compromize the conversions. I have opened 3 ticket (maybe more, don’t remember) during this time, and every time we receive a different reply from team. Once is a cache problem, once there aren’t no issue, every time a closed ticket WITHOUT ANY TROBLESHOOT. This is frustrating, and become a loss of time and revenue. I think this is the last year with GTranslate.

Stay away from this service, it will damages your seo due to the amount of times the service is lost and you end up with dead pages which have been indexed getting your site penalised, this all comes with poor service and excuses

I am really very dissatisfied with your service. I asked last time why my translation is suddenly out of order and every time during the weekend and on Monday and you cannot explain this, which is quite strange. Now it's out for the umpteenth time. I will also write about this on trustpilot and all other platforms if you do not come up with a good solution and a normal answer instead of sweeteners

support is not helpful at all and even rude. Their errors are "my fault" and I should either contact LSCache support (which by the way has MILLIONS of users) as its my fault im using it and not their buggy software. They even went so far to claim I should simply not use any language with RTL as its seemingly not working. Holy hell that company has the worst support ever.

Instead of fixing their bugs? Well you can also not use this translation language............

After using it for months, I can confirm all the negative reviews and I'm incredibly disappointed—I'd rate this tool zero stars if I could! It's utterly useless. Please, don't waste your money. Trust those who've already tested it and regretted spending on it.

Why throw away your money? Let me clarify.

Setting up the software often leads to problems. If they occur (which happens most of the time), be prepared to fix them. If your website remains unscathed, consider yourself lucky!

To reap the benefits, you must submit the translated pages to Google for indexing. If you skip this step, it'll be futile. But there's a catch.

Google either doesn't index them at all or only indexes a tiny portion, rendering it useless. This app is ineffective. The reason, as confirmed by the developer, is the poor translation quality. I confirmed this issue with my native language. Consequently, Google finds the translated pages uninteresting, refusing to index them, making them invisible.

This software is utterly worthless. It might even harm your website because Google could interpret the poorly translated pages as subpar content, leading to potential penalties. Essentially, you're paying to have your website penalized by Google!

If you encounter this issue, they might initially claim that Google takes time to index pages—fair enough. But if you bring it up again after two months, rendering their excuse invalid, they'll offer to translate the pages for an additional fee! Unbelievable. You're already paying for a useless service, and they want to extract more money from you.

In fact, using this service had a negative impact. Despite my default language being English and 99.9% of my customers originating from English-speaking countries, this software didn't attract new customers. Instead, it damaged my SEO with poorly translated pages, causing website disruptions that took a week to rectify. Trust those who've tested it—this software is rubbish. It employs the free version of Google Translate, known for its inaccuracies. It's almost 2024; they could have used AI or any better translation software which is mandatory for this kind of service, but I suppose that wouldn't be as profitable for them. Hence, they continue offering this awful and worthless service. DO NTO WASTE YOUR MONEY

Worked like a charm for me, what other expensive plugins can't do, this plugin is doing in just a few clicks.

I spent a whole year trying out plugins, and that’s what I was Facing:

1- The size of the database increased.
2- Difficulty in using plugins that require a lot of experience.
3- Dublcite the media.
4 – Some problems for which we or plugin support could not find a solution
5 – Premium support does not respond even after 15 days
6- The prices are fantastic, reaching $1,500 and more.
These problems were really disappointing. I wasted a lot of time searching until I found the gtranslate plugin that solved all these problems, as I really found what I was looking for.
I will tell you about my experience with gtranslate. I found:

Translating quickly is easy because the application is linked with Google Translate and many other translations such as Microsoft and others.
It does not affect the database at all or the size of the files in memory or storage. They are still the same size because there is a translated copy on gtranslate plugin servers.
I have never encountered a problem without finding a solution that was incredibly quick in a few minutes in a live chat with Suzan 😊, with support responding within a few minutes.
Compared to all these features that I discovered while using Plugin, the prices of their services become very simple.
I would like to thank the creators, developers, and support of gtranslate Plugin. You have provided the best in translation. I recommend everyone not to search or try many Plugin translations. This is the best Plugin after researching for a whole year and trying most Plugin translations.
