The Halo collar 5 is a wonderful upgrade to collar 4. With the extra battery life and more accurate satellite connectivity my dog is better protected and makes training a breeze. Halo has released a great product and I intend on using it with all my dogs for their safety and my peace of mind. I highly recommend it. Thank you, Halo!

We were upgraded to a Halo 5 from our Halo 3 and the Halo 5 is working excellent. We live in a no cell service, rural area and the Halo 3 had a lag in getting warnings to our pet. The Halo 5 has no lag and stops our pup at the boundary we have set. The collar is compact and fits our 28 lb mini Aussie well. The battery is long lasting, but we still charge nightly. I highly recommend this collar and I am confident that if something isn't right, Halo support will make it right.

So I have had as least 4 generations of halo collars. I have not tried any other gps collar so could not compare to those I can only compare to the other generation of halo. Current ones 4 or 5 are definitely better then the older models. Right now my dogs have been on their collars for about an hour. They charged all night last night. Two have halo 4 and one halo 5. Halo 4 are at 30hrs remaining and halo 5 is at 34 hours remaining. They still lag from the time the dog hits a notifing event to when I get notified. I might get the notification right away or five minutes or so later. The collars reliability with the beacons is the same highly unpredicatable it does not keep a consistant distance so my dogs will get randomly shocked where they have always been safe in distance from a beacon. Beacons are highly unreliable. Hopefully Hallo will figure out how to do a fence within a fence and do away with the beacons all together. We have stayed with the collar simple fact as reading reviews on other gps collars seem to have similar issues and I need a gps collar for my whole 14 acres to be used by my dogs. I do reccommend a gps collar for full use of ones property.

We purchased Halo 4 collars and were very pleased with the product. We were later sent the Halo 5, which is very similar to the Halo 4 but seems more up to date and it processes fences and sets up much quicker. The Halo collars have been a game changer for our two German Shorthaired pointers. We can take our dogs anywhere, and they stay safely confined.
While the collar offers beep, vibrate, and static options, we do not use the static feature and have removed the contacts. Our dogs fully respect the boundaries, and a simple beep brings them back to safety. I would highly recommend this collar to anyone looking for a reliable way to keep their pets safe and contained. Excellent product!

The new Halo 5 is a vast improvement with battery life over the Halo 4. The Halo 5 gives me the same piece of mind that my dog is safe in my yard but now I also don't really have to worry about the battery running out.

They just keep breaking, I have 2 dogs and there collars have fails in sequence.
I have just had the 3rd collar come up with an error for its battery and it seems to have better battery then any of the others I've had.
Although there are not many alternatives I cannot recommend Halo collars and I am going to be working on fencing off a few acres for the dogs.

I really like the Halo Collar 5 — it’s been a fantastic training tool and my dogs respond immediately. The improvements in this version make a big difference: the 48-hour battery life means I don’t worry about constant charging, and when it does need power it’s fully charged in about an hour. The AlwaysOn GPS and 20 location updates per second give me confidence that the tracking is accurate and reliable, even in wooded areas.
The dedicated WiFi and Bluetooth chips make the connection faster and more stable, and I’ve noticed fewer dropouts compared to older collars. I also like the health and activity insights, which add another layer of value beyond fencing and training.
Overall, it’s easy to set up, durable, and gives me peace of mind knowing my dogs are safe. I’d highly recommend Halo Collar 5 to any dog owner looking for a reliable, all-in-one fence, training, and tracking solution.

The Halo five has all the features of the halo four the battery charge is two times greater than the Halo four the. Halo 4 would charge to 20 hours. The Halo five would give you 40 hours of charge with the Halo for sometimes I would forget to plug it in and it would be dead the next day the Halo five if I forget to charge it, it would have 20 hours left on it when my dog was done outside I would plug it in and within 30 minutes or so it was charged back up to 40. The other thing that is nice is the halo five is a little bit more compact and smaller than the Halo for.

I've been testing the Halo 5 with one of my dogs while the other dog still has the Halo 4. The 5 is definitely an upgrade on the battery life. While I never had any issue with the 4's battery life, I definitely could not skip a night of charging. With the 5 I can definitely not charge every night. I have also noticed improvement with the GPS and Wifi connections as the 5 seems stronger. I've never had concerns on the 4, but still seems like an improvement.

The new Halo 5 is a game changer! My dog actually wants to wear it and he likes the recall I have set. It fits him well and connects to WiFi with no problems. When we aren’t near WiFi it works too. Thanks!!!!

The Halo collar 5 has arrived in the game with a significant advantage. Its rapid charging time and extended battery life mean less downtime for our pup without their guardian nearby. The GPS signal has also been enhanced. Previously, we would experience signal loss in the remote areas of our rural homestead. However, the improved strength of the signal now provides us with peace of mind.

Psyche was the greatest. She was very kind and understanding of my issues. Walked me thru the process and she was very supportive I think she’s the best. Thank you Psyche for being you.

The Halo 5 is my third Halo model I’ve had. This collar is the best Halo by far! My GSP always knew where her boundaries were, but she now knows she needs to stay inside of them.
The Halo 5 is the collar to get if you own a hunting dog!

We switched from the SpotOn collar last year to the Halo 4 and now recently tested the Halo 5 GPS dog collar. We haven’t noticed a big difference from the Halo 4 to the5, but the Halo overall is much better for us than SpotOn was.
The GPS boundary is more consistent and reliable, which gives me more peace of mind when my dog is outside. With SpotOn, we noticed the boundaries would sometimes shift or not register correctly, but Halo 5 has been much steadier overall.
The collar feels sturdy, the battery lasts a lot longer, and the app is easier to navigate. It’s not a night-and-day difference, but the improvements really add up and make daily use much smoother.
I’d highly recommend giving Halo 5 a shot — it’s been a noticeable upgrade for us without being overly complicated.

I live on 5 acres with a male 8-yo Chesapeake Bay Retriever. I have been using the Halo 5 for nearly two months now. The battery life is phenomenal! After 15 hours of use I still consistently have 15 hours or more of battery left when I put it on the charger every night. There has been no gps drift and no false corrections and no problems with my dog swimming in the pond daily. It keeps him on the property and I can just check on the app for his exact location. I love how they make it easy to adjust the collar to fit my dog.

Right off the bat the Halo 5 has so much better battery life than our former Halo collar. Charging is a breeze with the magnetic snap-on connector. No more fumbling with USB C plugs that may slide out after connecting. You also don't have to slide a silicone cover off the charging port to access the recharging area. The collar is lighter, less bulky and fits our dogs better. I'm impressed with the upgrade for certain.

I loved my halo 3, though had some minor triangulation issues initially. I have had no issues with the halo 5. I had to readjust my beacons because they reached further on the new collar. I absolutely love the increased battery life and the collar is more lightweight. The magnetic charger is also larger and seems to work better.

We are loving the upgrade of the Halo5 collar! Connectivity is great and so far we have had no issues with critical errors.

I’m so impressed with the Halo 5! The previous models were good, but this one blows me away. The GPS responds quicker, I have had no missignals when the dog is in the house, and the battery life is incredible. One night I forgot to put it on the charger and the next morning I still had 26 hours of battery life. I love all of the improvements!
