Handicare Stairlifts UK were quick to respond to my request for an assessment of the suitability of a chairlift in our home. Within a few days of our decision to proceed with selecting and fitting one, the AgeUK chairlift was installed. The fitters were helpful in explaining how to use it and we use it as much for carrying laundry or cups of tea as for sparing our rheumatic limbs.

The stairlift has been a life changer as it enables my wife to access the upstairs bedroom, accessible bathroom and her studio again.
Both the men who measured and fitted the stair lift were courteous and helpful. The fitting was remarkably quick.

Such an easy ,quick experience, from the first visit from the salesperson to the final installation of our staurlift.All the staff, on the phone and in person, were friendly, polite and caring. Advice was given as to any work needed to accommodate the lift and the installation was done within the week after the deposit. Very pleased with the whole experience

The stairlift market is confusing and so dealing with Age Co and through them Handicare was a breeze.
First Handicare have been with Age co for a long time. When you deal with them you deal direct with the company that makes the product.
From making an original phone call, Tom Fraser visiting, delivery and fitting, I felt comfortable all the way through.
Tom explained after measuring up that our stairlift would be the most slimline available and the bar attached to the stairs had no visible moving parts, like cogs and chains. This is great as it is so clean- line. The chair has become unnoticeable as we got used to it. It is very quiet in operation.
I really was surprised at the price for a brand new stairlift around £2500 as we had ben expecting more than double that.
After the initial visit we were contacted and in plain English told what was to happen, and making sure we understood every step, what they were going to do and what was expected of us. For example being home to accept delivery!!
The delivery actually came from Holland, and the delivery driver was great.
Everything stored in the garage, unpacked and all packing taken away in the most organised lorry I have ever seen.
The fitter similarly explained he had to keep his boots on etc. (health and safety) and worked calmly and efficiently, again taking away any other packing or bits.
Then he took his time running through the operation, explaining features and its use.
Since then its just been something we use and forget!

The whole experience with Handicare since first contact through to the installation of the stairlift, to handling any issues to annual servicing has been very positive. The team truly care about their clients. Having the stairlift in place means my Mum can stay in her house long term which makes a huge difference and it is very reassuring to know that they are both reliable and offer great customer service.
