Genuinely a brilliant site. Really easy and the venue they found was excellent. Had lots of interest from others but was easy to see which venue would work for our requirements.

An amazing experience. I put my requirements in for my desired PDR. I wasn’t expecting to receive such fabulous recommends and contacts from some fabulous vendors and events/ restaurants. This took the stress and panic away from the experience and I was matched with a place for my desired party. Definitely recommend. Also I put my request in at 2pm find my venue by 4:30pm for context.

You do need to put the time in to get the most out of the website but if you do then you will reap the rewards

Really great app, easy to use and a good selection of venues.

As a venue operator, I was initially drawn to HeadBox by the promise of increased visibility and private hire leads. The concept seemed appealing — a curated marketplace for businesses and individuals to discover and book venues for events. However, after using the platform extensively for over a year, I can confidently say it has not delivered on any of its core promises.

1. Volume of Enquiries vs. Quality:
While there were occasional enquiries, the overwhelming majority turned out to be non-serious or completely fake. Many submissions included absurd per-head budgets (we once received one quoting £4,000 per person), which appeared to be autogenerated or simply unrealistic. These types of leads skewed expectations and wasted time without resulting in any meaningful conversations or follow-ups.

2. No Actual Bookings:
Despite maintaining an active profile and responding promptly to every enquiry, we received zero confirmed bookings through HeadBox across a full year of use. That’s a 0% conversion rate, even after accommodating unusual requests, offering flexible terms, and engaging proactively.

3. Misleading Platform Value:
The platform seems to create a false sense of activity with inflated enquiry data that doesn't translate to real revenue. While it may appear that HeadBox is driving business, most venue managers I’ve spoken with have had similarly fruitless experiences.

4. High Minimum Spend Expectations:
Many enquiries came with unreasonably high minimum spends or headcounts that didn’t align with typical private hire behaviour. This not only distorted our pipeline planning but raised serious questions about the authenticity of the enquiries.

Final Verdict:
HeadBox promises a lot, but in reality, it delivered nothing of substance for us. As a venue group actively seeking genuine private hire bookings, we found the platform to be more smoke and mirrors than a viable sales channel. If you're looking for real leads and confirmed bookings, there are better, more transparent alternatives.

The HeadBox Studio is fantastic. As a venue, it allows us to showcase our personality through the AI-generated "team member." The product is incredibly user-friendly, and we had a lot of fun putting together the guided tour. We've been sharing it with our clients and have received a positive response.

HeadBox has made managing our events so much easier. From sourcing venues, tracking budgets, streamlining comms with suppliers and being on the ground on the event day - everything is handled in one place. Plus the team are absolutely wonderful to work with! Highly recommend for any busy events team!

Finding venues and then comparing pricing is normally a huge time drain. I was really surprised how easy and efficient the Headbox experience is - I’d very much recommend.
