About HealthNet

Written by the company

Established in 2015, we are a clinical homecare company, specialising in delivering homecare services to patients.

We work closely with the NHS and pharmaceutical companies to dispense and deliver prescription medicine whilst providing nurse support to those patients that need it.

There are currently over 260,000 patients using our services, and our dedicated team offer support to them across a number of different therapy areas – Gastroenterology, Respiratory, Rheumatology, Dermatology, Oncology, Rare Diseases and many more.

Our aim is to make our patient’s lives easier, by taking the stress out of managing their medication.

We recognise that each one of our patients is unique, and our services are tailored specifically to their requirements.

For some patients we will simply dispense and deliver their medicine, for some we may provide training on how to administer their medicine, whereas others may require ongoing nurse support to have their medicine administered for them.

We will work closely with our patient’s hospital team to ensure their medicine and/or care is provided to them safely and according to their prescription.

An overview of the services we offer for our patients is available here.

Very poor!!!!!!

Very poor. I wasnt sent the link to arrange my delivery and had to chase it up. I spoke to someone on the phone and agreed a delivery on the 28th August but it did not arrive. As a result I had to arrange for the delivery to ome on the 4th September. It did arrive on that day but as a result of this mess I was not able to take my medication on the correct day and in fact it was 5 days late. With my condition, this meant unnecessary stress and discomfort. Very, very poor!!!!!

Worrying lack of medication delivery drivers

I'm writing this review not to cause trouble or moan for the sake of moaning, but for the fact the service i encountered left me disappointed, confused and anxious. I had battled a severe case of Ulcerative colitis, which went on for a whole year and a half of non-stop suffering, pain & torment and after a long & painful battle of finally finding a suitable medication that actually worked & got me into remission (Rinvoq), I am now faced with the sobering reality that I will not have access to this medication over the weekend. Through no fault of my own, there were mistakes made after I had my blood test, where my results weren't forwarded to Healthnet Homecare (not their fault) and so I had to make many phone calls chasing this up, often being on hold for a minimum of 30 minutes+ each time. Finally, thanks to a combination of Dr. Mazhar at Basildon hospital pushing it through as urgent, and the very nice woman on the phone at Healthnet Homecare (didn't catch her name but she sounded of Indian heritage) who managed to arrange delivery for me for Friday 4th September, just as my last tablet had ran out. Fast forward to Friday, awaiting my delivery, and it never turned up. Confused, I phoned Healthnet again, being on hold for another 30 mins and a different lady on the phone simply told me that the delivery driver called in sick and they dont deliver to my area on the weekend and that there's nothing she can do other than arrange delivery for Monday. This really concerned me because we're not talking about Amazon deliveries or materialistic items, we're talking life-changing medication. I'm not here to direct my frustration at the lady because its probably out of her hands but how, on this earth, can there possibly be no 2nd or backup delivery driver for something so important? I will probably be ok perhaps, going 2 days without my Rinvoq medication, but I shouldn't have to rely on fate that I may or may not be able to get through the weekend without all my torturous symptoms flooding back and sending me into another year long + flare. Even still, never mind me, what if someone who was on that delivery schedule had a life or death condition where they cant skip a single dose? What would happen to them? Nothing they can do? I hate writing bad reviews but when something as serious as health is involved, I find it to be completely unacceptable that there are no backup drivers or weekend drivers to my area. The main reason of writing this review is for that perhaps someone higher up in the company will see this and maybe think with their heart, instead of thinking about costs and please just give us an extra driver or 2 so that this situation never happens again. Maybe next time, someone may lose their life when their medication doesn't turn up & I don't want this to become a reality.

Thank you, Sean

Hi Sean,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We are truly sorry to hear about the distress, anxiety and disappointment this situation has caused, particularly given the challenges you have already faced managing your Ulcerative Colitis and the importance of your Rinvoq treatment.

We fully appreciate that homecare medication deliveries are not simply parcels and that interruptions or delays can have a significant impact on a patient's wellbeing and peace of mind.

We are therefore very sorry for the worry this caused you, especially after you had already spent considerable time chasing up your blood results and coordinating your treatment.

Please be assured that we take your feedback extremely seriously. We are investigating the circumstances surrounding the missed delivery with Patient Support Team and our Logistics Team are looking into this urgently this morning. We have also raised an internal investigation with our Feedback Team.

Thank you again for bringing this matter to our attention. We sincerely regret the distress and inconvenience caused and will ensure your comments are shared with the relevant teams as part of our ongoing review.

Kind Regards,
The HealthNet Team
