Definite scam

This company also took £40.56 from my account without consent. I believe they got my details after I scanned a QR code to make a payment on a different site. It's a definite scam, I just hope to get my money back.

HelpinOne have e-mailed to say I have…

HelpinOne have e-mailed to say I have signed up for a membership (£40.??) that I have no idea what it is or why I would want it. Too scared to open link to cancel so I have contacted my bank. Quite a hassle, however, I believe this scam organization were able to get my details when I was attempting to download the Uber (taxi) app as Uber asked for my bank details before I could create the account.
Almost immediately after I am e-mailed to advise some IP address in London have attempted to access my Uber account. What a nightmare.
This is one hundred percent a bloody scam. Such hard work to try to fix and a warning to everyone beware when you are trying to set up an Uber account!

Contacted out of the blue.

Contacted out of the blue by Barclaycard to query a request for payment from this company. Never heard of them and no idea how they got my details. Card cancelled, which is of course a bit inconvenient, but well done Barclaycard for denying the payment. I am really bad at remembering to check my credit card summary - must remember to do it more regularly.

I totally concur with what almost all…

I totally concur with what almost all others have said, even to the extent of the charge - £40.56 - being the same. Fortunately in my case my bank (Barclays) stopped this I think after the first attempt by 'Helpinone' to withdraw money. I don't know who this group are or what I am supposed to have subscribed to, or even how they got my details as I rarely scan QR codes (I don't really understand them), but I do think my dentst has recently been hacked as all their recent correspondence with me brings up a scam alert despite the fact that they have a https URL code. Maybe that's where they got my details from? Anyway I echo what others have said - this is a scam and this company whoever they are, needs to be stopped.

Beware of this company

Like many others here, I was charged for a service I never subscribed to. The charge was made via my Revolut account. Helpinone finally agreed to cancel my subscription and refund one of the payments. But Revolut was not at all interested in investigating the fraudulent practices of this company. I will also be cancelling my Revolut account

Scam using a false QR code

I logged onto this company via a fake QR code stuck over the proper code on an electric vehicle charging station. It was after midnight and raining so no chance of spotting it. Certain it’s a scam. My bank refunded the £40.56 they had taken and changed my debit card so they couldn’t help themselves in future.

Scam starting with a Bosch QR Code

My Bank has (fortunately) just declined a credit card transaction from this company. Apparantly it was a subscription to a streaming service which I had no knowledge of and no wish for. Working things backwards this started from me scanning a QR code contained in the operating instructions on a new Bosch Dishwasher in order to setup a dishwasher control app on my phone. As part of the process it requested my credit card number to validate my identity and had a transacton amount of 0.00. It seemed odd at the time but the amount was zero and so I let google complete my details and then authorised the transaction on my banking app. Today this company have tried to separately debit £40.56 to the same card. Fortunately, it was declined. I have rung the UK number on the helpinone website who say they provide facilities for various streaming companies (fitness videos in this case). The lady said she would cancel my subscription.

These scammers tried to take £40.56…

These scammers tried to take £40.56 from our account yesterday. My wife spotted it and reported it to our Bank. Turns out they had also taken this same amount out last month but we had missed it. Our Bank asked if we had accidentally made a subscription or had given access to our details to someone else. We hadn't. I suspect that maybe our Bank details are being hacked directly from our Bank.

Like everyone else on here

Like everyone else on here, my wife had her card hacked. Luckily Barclays are good at this and contacted us to ask if we’d authorised a payment of £40.56 which we hadn’t. They stopped the payment and cancelled her card. They said it may have come from a bar or QR code. My wife this week tried to sign up to a Morrisons more card but couldn’t get it authorised online. Could this be the source????
