Two weeks ago we had the steak and ale pies. Very tasty and full of rich filling. Pastry was excellent just the right thickness. Today we had Guinness and steak pies and the quality was just as good, a very consistent product.

This is the first time I've tried a Higgidy smoked salmon, extra mature cheddar & spinach quiche for 1.
I can honestly say it was almost completely tasteless; tiny piece of smoked salmon, totally lacking in taste extra mature cheddar & unrecognisable "spinach".I bought it at St. Albans Waitrose where I do a regular shop. I won't be buying it again.

On the strength of a posting on YouTube saying these pies were as good as M&S; I tried one of the Chicken & Leek purchased from Tesco at £3.75. I was amazed at how little filling there was, ~30% so basically a pastry case! The filling was nice but poor value at that price! Very disappointed!

We have bought many Higgidy products over the years. I contacted the company after finding a hair in a product (mini muffin). They replied promptly, as you would hope for offering reassurance on their processes. They also offered a £20 voucher as a refund wasn’t possible. However, the voucher hasn’t been sent and they have failed to respond to emails with the information requested and a polite follow up to ensure it had been received. I was initially not put off by a one off incident with the muffins, but I certainly am by this experience.

First time of buying in a while and disappointed I did. Two chicken pies, one fine the other the pastry lid was pale, sunken and very unappealing.
Presumably there is no QA??
Oh well, back to my regular pies it is then

Seems their word is as good as their pies! Offered a voucher (like others on here) but no sign of one in over THREE WEEKS.
I'll be avoiding all Samworth Bros products in future too (parent co.)

I bought Higgidy extra mature cheddar & spinach mini muffins. £3.50 for 5 very small muffins (130g in total).

They were almost tasteless, I ended up adding cheese to the top of each muffins to add flavour.

Do not purchase, I won't be buying these again!

Also not happy with the ahem improvement. Higgidy might have to be another brand i reject. I'm on a roll with all these dishonest theives

Slow cooked steak, bacon & red wine pie.

I think you need to change the name I think maybe Mushrooms, disappointment and lies.

2 tiny pieces of steak maybe 3 and then mushrooms, mushrooms, mushrooms and guess what just some more mushrooms for good measure, which wouldn’t be so bad if I didn’t despise the soggy little bits of rubber that taste like wood.

First and last time I ever buy any of your products.

Awful 😞 plain awful. Quiche was bland and stodgy with hard bits rendering it inedible. Priced top of the range and worst on market. Threw in the bin. Never again.

Just had a small slice of Beechwood smoked bacon etc quiche, two large pieces of white bone in it. Disgusting, literally made me feel sick, rest went straight in the bin!

Tried for a second time one of higgidy’s pies , this one a tender slow cooked British beef . Tender it was not , so tough it was inedible . Emailed the company requesting them to improve ( or implement ) quality control , Naturally no response . No more of their pies for me , back to trustworthy M&S .

I was shocked to discover this week that Higgidy bacon quiche was really quite horrible. They used to be rather lovely. The pastry managed to be both dry and chewy (edges) and soggy (base) - a combination of textures that i’ve not encountered before in a quiche. The filling was mushy and tasteless. The bacon was ok and plentiful but not sufficiently amazing as to act as the overall quiche’s saving grace. I nearly binned the whole thing, despite being able to eat just about anything. Don’t waste your money. I defo won’t buy one again. M&S better value and better taste, especially if you get the 3 for £8 offer.

These pies were perfect for a meal with salad / veg . Now it is snack size . They were originally delicious , now pastry is dry & tasteless & filling is sparse . We used to have one a week . I won’t be buying them again

Higgidy steak and ale pie. Very dry, meat was tough. Flavour was odd, perhaps that was the ale, but it was horrid.

Never thought I'd be writing a review for pies but I feel compelled to.

Bought a Higgidy pie a few years ago and it was delicious, always looked out for if they were on special offer. This week they were, and oh my, what an absolute disappointment :( The pies are mostly air with a small amount of content at the bottom, it was one of the worst pies I've had in many years. Absolutely appalling what they've done with these.

I bought two because then I can use the mash over a few nights, honestly tempted to bin the second and go and get something else for this evening.

.How do you ruin a brand Cydney? When your company claims to have listened to feedback on its pies. They were to full so put more gravy in but less meat change the brilliant flaky pastry to a bland hard thing.Keep them in the same size box but make them a third smaller.Way to go profits to fall further,customers less.Higgiddy pies no more

First time trying the porcini mushroom and spinach mini rolls. Wow!! Loved them. Bought some more yesterday and will try other food in their range. Bought from Tesco superstore Rotherham although I think the sheffield store has wider range

Very poor customer service. I bought 2 steak pies in my local Waitrose - on opening, the pies were burnt with lopsided tops. Expected better considering the brand & price. I complained with photos - and all the info they asked for . They offered to send a voucher to use but it didn’t arrive & no further replies to emails . I won’t buy from them again
