They have the most partnered providers

This is an excellent service for those who have fairly minor health needs. I have used HMSA Online Care on two occasions--both to request new prescriptions of medications I've used in the past but had expired. I encountered a couple of set-backs but was able to remedy them pretty quickly.

For example, I was unable to logon to the site at first and had to call tech support to delete my old login information so I could start over--worked beautifully after that. A different problem I had was when I discovered that most available physicians at that time were only available through the Online Care app which required either a webcam on your computer or the use of your cell phone camera. Once I got that figured out, it was kind of neat to interact visually+audibly with the doctor using the camera/screen on my cellphone.

On both occasions, the prescriptions were filled at the location I specified very quickly. Using HMSA's Online Care was a super time-saver and very convenient--it was like the doctor made a house-call!

HMSA has the largest network of doctors in the state of Hawaii, but, it is also the most expensive health care insurance. For the most part, I don't have any problems with the coverage. What I feel is their biggest problem is the fact that HMSA can charge so much for some of their health plans. I feel that they are overcharging a lot of people... especially small businesses that have to struggle to pay the insurance premiums.

Save you time, when you got a lot things to do on your days off.. most time it's hard when I call my regular family doctor office, it hard to wait for them to answer there phone.. called 4th then 5th time I gave up.. then I used this Doctor on call 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️they saved me get what I needed to be done .. Thanks so much 😘😍

The time limit is a bit short for a medical consultation. It takes time to set up communication. By the time communication is set up, five minutes have passed.

Better than visiting the Dr's in person & waiting FOREVER amongst a bunch of sick people!!!

There are some connectivity issues at times, but overall the experience and service are fabulous additions for my patients.

Online care is easy to use and secure. While it feels a little awkward at first, the providers do it all the time and really make you feel welcome. Save yourself a trip and give your visit a shot online! You'll be grad you did.

This was easy and convenient. I didn't have to spend much time waiting for a doctor to be able to ask questions and the doctor was able to help me.

I have been with HMSA all of my life. I have seen it develop into a caring, and trustworthy organization. HMSA is always there for me when I have questions, concerns, and need help. I especially look forward to their free classes on topics of health and education. I

I'm ok with the program but choices for doctors and labs is very limited making it hard to get appointments anywhere.

CVS wouldn't fill prescription until the day before it was due-resulting in three trips to pharmacy to get the medication.

I've already shared this with a number of my employees. The app is fast, easy to use, and free on our plan. I was able to get diagnosed and have medication prescribed at a time when my only other option would have been a long, painstaking trip to urgent care. I am grateful for the level of access to health care this app gives. Each time I've used this service, the doctors were professional, friendly, and happy to help.

We've had wonderful experiences with this service. My busy husband has used it for his annual check-up with a specialist for a medication refill. And we've both used it for our older preschooler daughter when both times we probably knew she had pink eye and then an ear infection because she was coming off a cold -- it's awesome for when you just need to talk to a doctor and your symptoms aren't weird, especially if it would save you a trip to urgent care. This service is just like using FaceTime, and is perfect for single mamas, working parents and families with more than one kid!

For being a subsidy of Blue Shield, HMSA is pretty good

I have used online care from day one. I find it so valuable when I am too sick to drive to the doctor. I communicate my symptoms the doctor views my history medical records provides a diagnosis and calls in a Prescription. I've even gotten off work doctors notes. All in the comfort of my home.
