We had a fantastic trip on the Dawn Mist! None of us had ever had any experience with a canal boat, but the team at Hoen were brilliant at teaching us what we needed to do, including how to use a lock. We want South towards Kidderminster and the stretch of canal was stunning. Plenty of pubs and restaurants along the way too, so it's easy to find somewhere to eat. I would easily recommend Hoen for a narrow boat trip to anyone considering it regardless of experience.

We had a lovely time spending the first couple of days on our own and then our children joined us for the last few days. Perfect balance of family time and relaxing. Barges had everything you could wish for - but the best thing is slowing down and doing everything at a more leisurely pace. Thank you HOEN for a lovely break.

This was our first time on a narrow boat and it was a fabulous weekend.
Everything was explained to us really well before we set off and we were very comfortable in the boat.
Will definitely be doing it again in the future.

Rob spent the day with our family teaching us the basics and also gave use some hints and tips to ensure our holiday later this year goes smoothly. We have hired narrowboats in the past, but this day has given all members of our family much more confidence to handle the boat and locks. We cruised for about 2 hours north of the base which meant plenty of steering and lock practice (including a staircase). Rob provided teas and coffees throughout the day and also prepared a delicious lunch. We would recommend an Experience Day to any infrequent boaters who want to brush up on their knowledge and skills.

Took a family trip with our 4 children and 11 month old baby for a long weekend everything was explained very well and we was shown the ropes beforehand Rob was friendlyeasy to talk to and ask questions, the boat was nice and clean and all household supplies included was impressed with the attention to small details would definitely hire again and have recommended to friends, overall great time and no complaints!

Had the best long weekend on the canal boats. Stunning scenery and the boats had everything you could possibly need! Lovely little touches and very comfy. Neil and team totally went the extra mile! So nice to do something a little different with friends that's inexpensive. We'll be back! Big thanks
