We had a fabulous stay a The Counting House. This quirky property was clean, well-equipped and a pleasure to stay in. As stated in teh property guide, the stairs to the bedrooms downstairs are steep, but we had no difficulty with them. There is plenty of storage space for clothes etc. The balcony was lovely for catching the morning and evening sun and the views are fabulous. We loved walking alongside the canal (right next to the house), with easy access to the local shop and pubs... as did our dog. The area itself is beautiful and we had an amazing few days. I would highly recommend this property.

No frills and no fuss, just everything you need and and everything as advertised. A great space in an excellent location to enjoy what Lynton, Lynmouth and the surrounding area has to offer.

Lovely fully equipped, quiet place to stay. Perfect enclosed garden for dogs with access to fields. Ideal base with very friendly owners always approachable and accommodating if needed.

What an amazing place! You can truly feel that Derw Bach in Llanerfyl was built and finished with love - every single detail is absolutely flawless. The hosts went above and beyond, greeting us with the most thoughtful and delicious welcome snacks that made us feel instantly at home. The views of the peaceful Banwy Valley from the cabin are completely breathtaking, offering the perfect backdrop to an incredibly relaxing stay. It was the perfect base for exploring Lake Vyrnwy and hiking the local trails. Booking was easy, and we received great clear communication throughout the booking. Thank you for being such wonderful hosts - we cannot wait to return!

Beautiful, peaceful village.

Huge, clean and comfortable property that gave us the peace and privacy we wanted. Hot tub was a great bonus and kept well maintained. Hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, even going out of their way to let the kids feed the calves. Beds were comfortable and the views of the surrounding land are idyllic. Plenty to do in the local towns too!

We loved this property. It was light and airy, well-equipped with beds, linen and bathrooms all premium quality. The house had everything we needed and in beautiful Devon too! Highly recommended.

We needed a quiet and peaceful break after recently losing one of our dogs, and The Cabin at The Vines was exactly what we needed. We met Michelle when we arrived, who showed us around and explained everything, including how to use the pizza oven and hot tub. After that, we were simply left to enjoy the cabin and the peace and quiet, although it was reassuring knowing Michelle and Dave were there if we needed anything. We have stayed in cabins and lodges for decades and normally take half the house with us — tea, coffee, milk, condiments, foil, torches and all the other little things you usually realise you need once you arrive. This was one of the first places we have stayed where genuinely everything seemed to have been thought of. There was nothing we found ourselves wishing we had brought. The cabin itself is lovely. The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower was fantastic and the living room was really cosy, with plenty of cushions and throws. We used the pizza oven around three times during our five-night stay and really enjoyed it. What stood out more than anything, though, was just how quiet and peaceful it was. That was exactly what we were looking for and it gave us the chance to properly switch off for a few days. Michelle and Dave are lovely, polite people who seem to have got the balance absolutely right — they are there if you need them, but otherwise give you complete privacy to enjoy your stay. We also took our Jack Russell, who absolutely loved it. There are a couple of dog-friendly pubs nearby, including a larger one just down the road, and around four miles away there is a Co-op and a lovely little sandwich shop called Becky’s Bakery. The Cabin at The Vines really feels like one of those hidden gems. Considering how many cabins and lodges we have stayed in over the years, I’m surprised we had never come across it before.

If anyone asked me to recommend somewhere peaceful to stay, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place. We would absolutely stay again.

Plenty of parking, and the cottage is spacious inside with everything you need for your stay, and a generous patio to the cottage outside. Owner was supportive when needed.
