I have sent a request (well within the time frame) to change the duration of my trip, which they confirmed via email. And now they say that since I didn’t do the change directly in the app, that the changes won’t be done. They are basically stealing 5000kr from us.

We were about to fly....And they cancelled!
We were about to fly, 17 hours to go. And then we get a call and this message from Holidu:
Dear Simon,
Thank you for taking our call.
We have now cancelled your Airbnb booking, and Airbnb will automatically process your refund.
Unfortunately, we currently have no suitable alternatives available for your desired dates. The Airbnb service team will also be happy to help you find alternatives if necessary.

Unfortunately, the issue with the property was both serious and unexpected: a flood caused significant failures in the house's systems, rendering it unsafe and uninhabitable. Airbnb classified this situation as a force majeure, and the cancellation was processed according to that policy.
We fully understand that this does not ease the frustration of losing flight and parking expenses. Since those services were booked separately and are not part of the accommodation agreement, they fall outside the scope of what we (or the host) can reimburse. That is why we suggested contacting your travel insurance.
We appreciate your understanding in this unfortunate matter, and we remain at your disposal for any further questions you may have.

A serious security breach at Holidu.
Two months ago, I booked a holiday apartment in Liguria, Italy. Shortly afterward, I received a message from someone who presented herself as the property owner. She sent me a formal contract and a payment request. I transferred €1,390 to her and waited for a payment confirmation for over a month. Upon investigation by the company, it turned out that I had fallen victim to a scam by fraudsters. Holidu is disowning the incident and refuses to take responsibility.
The scam happened solely because there is a security breach on their side. You have been warned—it could happen to you as well.

Had a booking cancelled on us 2 days before 8 of us were due to fly. Not very helpfully at all we had to find our own alternative costed is over £1500 more no apologies got a generic email money 2-3 to get back into my account.
