Absolute sham of a company

Absolute sham of a company. Products (food wraps) took 3 weeks to arrive, they are completely useless, unusable and not as described. Tried to raise a complaint with Trading Standards and wrote them a formal letter of complaint to their UK "office". Letter bounced back as address simply doesn't exist. Their "customer services" took weeks to respond to my emails and advised me that the food wraps are "hygeine products" so non-refundable which is completely against basic UK consumer rights.
DO NOT EVER BUY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Being known for our great service to our fellow eco conscious/health community, it came as a surprise, and we would like to make things right.

We actually use the wraps ourselves and they do work, sometimes they can be a bit tricky because there is a technique involved (stretch and stick) which is shown in our paperless instructions that you should have received with your receipt. However, we are here to help you - please reach out to us at info@honestmiracle.com for help getting your wraps sticking.

We have to obey UK laws as a UK company, being a family run company we understand that it's frustrating not being able to return some things, but these reusable food wraps are not returnable because of UK health and hygiene laws, we simply aren't allowed to sell them again after they've been received by a customer, this is not against basic UK consumer rights, this is also stated on our website and company policies. Our address is our home address, it certainly does exist...

Unfortunately you haven't left an order number or surname in the trust pilot information so I was unable to check to see how long it took your order to arrive, however we do state on our website that our turnaround time is 7-14 working days because we are a small family run company who work around raising a young family.

We value our customers opinions and would like to thank you for bringing this to our attention.

PS please note that you have to take the wrap off of its storage square first, so if it's feeling "rigid" it's still on the storage square. That's quite a common error and a quick fix. I hope that helps.

Honest Review

I really wanted to like this company but I found the products to be really poor; came with no instructions; shipped from china; some were broken etc.

I appreciate they're a family run business so I hope they can work this out as I think it's a great idea, just poorly executed.

Just in regards to their reply - I'm not a competitor. My order number is #5697 made on the 24/08/2018 and I don't work in any similar industry. I left an honest review and they're trying to take it down. Please do not buy products from here.

Honest Miracle is poorly named. I bought products through their website but have never received them. I’d gladly review them if they should ever turn up. It may all just be a con I fear.

Still waiting for part of my order

Still waiting for part of my order. I've emailed them 3 times and sent a message on messenger asking for a refund if they aren't actually going to send it, but no response. Ageee with all the shipping and packaging from China point. Very disappointed.

Poor customer service

I tried to cancel my order with just a few hours but was told it wasn't possible, so they knew from the outset that I didn't require my items.
They arrived in individual parcels from China so excessive plastic packaging and so many air miles- very disappointing considering the supposed intentions of the company.
They won't provide a returns address, despite me fully complying to their request for photographic evidence of the utensils being in a sealed, unused condition.
I've heard nothing for weeks and my order was placed in July.

will not usebthis company again

Food wraps came relatively promptly however no information whatsoever regarding the composition of the product. They all came individually wrapped in plastic, so much for plastic free July ...
Pads came a week later. Straight from China. They are definitely not handmade and there is no information regarding the fiber content. They are marketed as organic bamboo but I am pretty sure you they are not (i did find the same pads on eBay and not once are they marketed as organic) . I have no idea what the inner lining is made off or the outer lining for that matter. The fiber content should appear on the product or at least on a label attached to the product, this is a legal requirement....
Although they promote themselves as family business, the fact that the products are shipped straight from china made me feel slightly cheated . When I buy from a small family business I would like it to be packed and shipped by them not by someone they have probably never met and are paid peanuts thousands of miles away.

Quality wise, one good wrap came with a hole in it so I’d not useable.
One pad out of 5 had the stitching that came undone after the first wash.

And finally when I formulated my doubts on their Facebook ad that kept popping up on my feed for plastic free July (although everything they sell is wrapped in single use plastic ...) my comment was deleted promptly hence why the hundred of comments are all positive. Never trust company that deletes negative comment instead of dealing with them.

Hello Marie, we cannot find you on our customer database, in order to help you or to reply fairly, please could you supply an order number or surname or we will assume you are not a customer of ours and will need to report your review to Trustpilot because we have had cases of competitors leaving reviews writing similar things to your review.

We have not, and will never, delete comments on Facebook™ - the only time Facebook™ themselves delete comments is when someone spams pages, writes fake comments or writes abuse on a companies page.

Also, I personally hand make the pads myself, using a sewing pattern that others may be able to use as well, but they are definitely organic bamboo (bamboo does not require fertilisers or pesticides because it grows super fast and is naturally antibacterial) and the information is on the website, that covers the legal requirement. The wrap information is sent by email as part of our zero waste commitment and this is actually a reason customers choose to buy from us. Some products are wrapped in cellophane (which is compostable, so it's the most eco friendly we can do within the legal constraints we have for hygiene items) for legal hygiene requirements, however if customers request them to be wrapped in paper then we send them wrapped in paper. We are, however, looking to invest in vegetable alternatives that do the same as the cellophane (so will keep the authorities happy) but they're very expensive so it does need to be as we grow as a business.

The Plastic Free July Sale was very popular, more popular than we expected actually and we did indeed have to ship some products from the warehouse that we normally send our international orders from (we also get a lot of orders from Australia) because we ran out of stock in our UK warehouse, but we have realised that if we have a sale again we will need to make sure that we have double the stock available in our UK warehouse.

You've mentioned that you would like your orders from us packed and shipped by us, we used to do this and we still do when people qualify for a mystery free gift because we like to choose their mystery free gift ourselves (our 4 year old has fun choosing it and packing it) but because we are experiencing a huge amount of growth (that means more people are going plastic free, yay!) it's just physically impossible (there are only 3 of us in our small family business and we all work around our young family and actually the owner is physically disabled so would not be able to ship it, so there are effectively only 2 of us that are able to send orders, however we do take our products to the warehouse in batches in our electric car, this is the best we can do and most of our customers appreciate this.)

If you are a customer of ours (no surname or order number was provided with your review, so we cannot check) please email us at info@honestmiracle.com with a photo of the food wrap that arrived with the hole in it as we can see when there's a manufacturing fault or if it's been caused by a user not following instructions, whenever there's a manufacturing fault we will always replace that product.

Enhances the taste of an ice cold beverage!

I love the stainless steel straw set that I purchased! I was worried it would feel weird or sharp sipping through a metal straw but in fact, put it in an ice cold coke and it enhances the experience of sipping on a cold beverage. I am super impressed with the straw cleaner too, and have no hesitation recommending these to anyone. I will never buy another plastic straw again and my children were so excited when they could use a straw for every drink....and not just special occasions!

Prodicts are poor quality from CHina

Drop shipping from CHina. Items are very poor quality and all is packed in plastics bags without any labels or informations about product! It is sent from China not UK service. And "Family" company is not responding you. Even on facebok, they just blocked me.

Poor quality of items from China!!!

I bought more items from this seller! But items are not as described.
Womans sanitary clothes pads are not handmade organic even bamboo quality like they described it on their websides.
It is poor fabric and it comes from CHina without any labels or informations about product or fabric.
Another item is Reusable Toxin Free Food Wrap. It is not working at all and also no proof about non toxic quality!
All items comes from China like drop shipping! So delivery is also not from UK like this seller lies. This seller is liar. I bought 5 items and each comes separately in plastics bags from CHina! They publis themselfs like ecology shop, but it is just business mask!!!

I think that sellers like this seller shouldn't be on market in UK!

Wasted my money - update 6th August

Disappointed with this company. Product was not fit for purpose. Refused refund on the grounds of hygiene. I’m going to seek advice from Trading Standards.

Thank you for the response to this post. I’m not looking to harm a family business. I used the product according to the instructions on the video. It split on first use. We don’t even know if it was faulty as you won’t let me return it.

Well goodness me, an honest family business have quoted me out of context.
If I had changed my mind, I would not be allowed to return because of UK health regulations but the product spilt the first time I used it. Therefore it is not fit for purpose and I’d like my £15 back please.

Just to recap:

10.06.2018 I used Messenger to say that I wanted to return the silicon cover as it seemed such poor value.

11.06.2018 Message from me saying I was disappointed that the price had been reduced just hours after I had paid fifteen pounds
11.06.2018 Emily replied that my order had been upgraded to medium
11.06.2018 Message from me asking about instructions (nothing with the order)
11.06.2018 Emily - email should have arrived but I hadn’t tickets the appropriate box
14.06.2018 Emily sent a link to the instructional video
16.06.2018 I watched the video and tried to use the cover. It spit. I sent a photo
16.06.2018 Auto response - 2 members short
16.06.2018 Message from me saying I definitely want my money back and sent a photo.
16.06.2018 Another message from me requesting a refund with a photo of the split cover
18.06.2018 Message from me requesting the returns address
18.06.2018 Auto response - 2 members short
24.06.2018 Message from me asking again for the returns address
24.07.2018 Auto response - ‘aim to get back to you within 72 hours’

After that message I assume that you blocked me so I had to use emails:

25.06.2018 I wrote that I was still waiting for a returns address.
27.06.2018 Emily sent the message about non-returnable due to UK health and hygiene regulations.

I then went to Trust Pilot to see if any other customers had experienced such difficulties and was again told that it was not returnable because of UK health and hygiene regulations so I contacted Trading Standards.

You were right - for hygiene reasons I am not entitled to return an item if I have changed my mind. However, in this case the item was not fit for purpose:

‘Under the Consumer Rights Act, all goods supplied by a trader should be of satisfactory quality - the goods should be free from faults, last a reasonable time, be fit for the purpose they were made for, and should be safe.
If you were within the first 30 days of purchase, you are within your rights to to exercise your Short Term Right to Reject, which gives you the ability to reject goods for a full refund.
It will be down to you to prove there is a issue with the goods and this issue has not been caused by fair wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage or neglect as the trader is to liable for this. You may wish to have the goods independently inspected to help you to prove this.’

The reply goes on to say what additional steps I can take if the dispute continues. I feel that you have treated this as a ‘change of mind’ rather than a problem with the actual cover.

Hopefully you will now be able to supply my refund. I am happy to send the actual back cover to you if that would help. Ideally, my refund will arrive by the end of the week (3rd August) in which case the matter will be resolved.

We have to disagree with you that the product was not fit for purpose, we have thousands of happy customers who love that exact product and we also use them ourselves (and love them, otherwise we would not sell them because we have high standards for our customers). We must operate within the law of the UK, including the Health and Hygiene regulations and our refund policy must reflect that too.

We welcome any investigations from Trading Standards, although it is a shame that it's got to that stage because we do work very hard to help save the planet and improve our customers health, putting our heart and soul in to each and every order.

Dubious standards despite excellent goods.

The goods are excellent. However, I was disappointed by the amount of plastic packaging used by a company which is portraying itself as green.
Also concerned that some of the items were shipped from China, which does not have a very good human rights record at the moment, especially towards North Korean refugees.

We didn't blame Royal Mail, how could we when you inputted a partial address and emailed us confirming your mistake. Our system has never cut out anyone else's address before and since your order we have not had this problem either, so clearly the error came from you but you insist on blaming other people for your own mistake.

From my experience with Royal Mail I have seen different postmen & post-women delivering to my address, so I am amazed that every postman/ postwoman knows your exact address without a complete address on a letter or package.

I'm astonished that you are calling our family business a con to be honest because we did not make a mistake with the order, we did not fill out your address on our payment system. My wife is very upset because she tries her best to help the world and reduce plastic waste but yet you are calling us a con and giving us a 1 star review for your own mistake.

Seriously bad customer care and refusal to refund a faulty product

I purchased three silicon wraps as I am convinced that plastic cling film is seriously harmful to the environment. One snapped on first use and one snapped on second use. I used them both accordingly with the youtube and facebook tutorials on how to do it. One was used and applied fine only to find it shrank after a night in the fridge wrapped over a bowl of 13cm. I used a medium size for that.
I still think that these products should be encouraged but Honest Miracle Family Organics first ignored me, then suggested I did not know how to use it and eventually said they cannot accept a return due to hygiene reasons. As if I was asking them to resell snapped wraps. I asked for a refund and they did this. Do not buy from this company, find a product like this that works and has a certain standard of customer care.
