Honeyfund was a quick, convenient way for people to give gifts, especially those who regretfully couldn't attend. My only suggestion is to make an option where the person giving has the option to pay... See more

If you want to use the app to create a website it won’t really look like the example. I had a difficult time trying to navigate the website. I only needed it for our elopement in case family wanted to gift funds.
They don’t tell you but there is a fee to transfer to your account. If you want to send it through PayPal or Venmo the amount has to be at least $100. BTW they will freeze your Honeyfund account until you verify it’s you trying to transfer funds to the gift card.
They don’t really tell you the hassles on website reviews. BUT other websites are more challenging than Honeyfund. Not the best website but better than others

We were worried when we tried to redeem our gifts because the site said “error” and we couldn’t redeem our gifts on the Target account to Venmo. And when we called, we couldn’t find anyone to help us. Luckily I reached out to them on Instagram (and by email) and they responded right the next day!
They immediately moved our funds from Target to the Honeyfund wallet and the error message was gone. I was able to redeem the gifts into my Venmo account pretty quickly (the money was available after a couple of days!). Then with no issue, I was able to transfer the rest of our funds into Venmo again (you have to wait after the first Venmo transaction is completed).
I only gave them 4 stars because of the error message and because the giftcard options they have are a bit limited. But the customer service was great and we got our money quickly so pretty happy with them!

They are so quick to draw you in and say you get 100 percent of what your attendees gift you for your wedding. It’s all annoying trickery. They bloat what people give by asking for donations. They make it impossible to find the button to opt out of a donation. When you’re ready to redeem your gift, unless you want $4,000 of a chilis gift card, it takes over a month to get your money via PayPal or Venmo. None of that is clear up front. DO NOT USE. Would not recommend.

Wish I could rate lower than 1 star. Honeyfund tried to steal $2000 out of our gifts and would not respond to our requests for several weeks. They finally claimed it was an “error” but it took about 7 weeks to get them to respond to our ~50 emails (they don’t provide a phone number for support). By the time they finally responded, flights had almost doubled in price and we had to change our destination. Honeyfund is a scam, I would never recommend this awful “service” to anybody.
I have been trying to setup a fund with Honeyfund and it's not straightforward.
Eeeeemmm, therefore do not want my guests to be confused too.

My daughter and her partner set up a fund collection with Honeyfund. Do not bother, it is completely unusable and they are not responsive or helpful when a problem is encountered. Also payments made via PayPal incur a charge, so your guests will pay more than they want to contribute…..only took a year and a half for their response 😂👏👏

We registered. Luckliy not published. Just one gift paid by one of family members.money deducted from account he said. Its about 48 hours the gift not shown. Not any support from customer service. While we needed calm and relax afew days before wedding , stress came to us not being victim of scam. Still waiting for reply , will update here.
Site doesn't work. Guests tried to donate using credit cards and every single card type was declined. Reached out to support multiple times and was told it wasn't their problem, it was PayPals problem (PayPal was working just fine). This site is hard to use, the main purpose (receiving gifts) doesn't work, and support won't help. Recommend paying for something better instead of going through the hassle of trying to use HoneyFund

I loved creating my wedding website and registry, but that's where the positives stop for me personally. The withdrawal process for funds is not automated at this time which means that your request is manually processed. It takes an agent around 4 days to respond to any inquiry, including a withdrawal request, and then another 5 to 10 business days to actually get funds. I was married on 2/11, entered my request the next day, and still don't have my money on 2/21. I'm not honeymooning until April, but people going immediately after their wedding who may be counting on those funds are pretty screwed...
I keep receiving emails from this company asking me to invest but thankfully I haven't.
However, earlier this year when my Daughter asked about it to set up a Honeyfund for her Wedding I agreed it was a good idea. So wrong!
For months now her link hasn't worked, Honeyfund can't or won't help and now we are sending out letters to all invited we just pray that none of them have had their money stolen.
Have tried contacting them, to no avail and I have now reported their website

The site is not bad. But it uses Paypal as the payment agent and this is an absolute disaster. We had so many guests struggling with sending money, and no support from honeyfund or PayPal to resolve it. In th end we closed the site down and had to rely on bank transfers.
