Excellent communication at all times and joy to deal with

Hosting Power are consistantly 100%. Always helpful and professional too.

I did an internship in Dublin/Ireland and found a room with an elderly lady through Hosting Power.

The first couple of days were mostly fine. My host had some peculiar ideas. She took my shoes outside (while I did put them in the place that she told me to) because she thought they "smelled". Than the day after she washed all my clothes (without asking me) despite the fact that these clothes had been washed before I left for Ireland.

She already knew before I came that I am not very talkative and a bit people shy. So I did not have lengthy conversations about nothing with her, which I thought she wanted (being alone).

At the end of the week (out of the blue), she informed me that she wanted me to leave with one week notice.
The reason she gave me, was that I was too quiet.

I contacted Hosting power by e-mail and later by phone.
After multiple days we got a reply that we had to use their app to communicate. So at that time there were only two or three days left.

But even in these last days hosting power did absolutely nothing to even try to help me. They only asked what reason the host gave.

They never responded to the things I told them like that the host moved and washed my stuff and simply wanted a companion.

They did not offer to help me look for a different location, so my parents had to spend a lot more money to find me a new place to stay.

So if you want a company that cares about its customers, you should definitely not use Hosting Power.

They simply always take the side of the host and take at least a day to respond even if you use their app.

I'm with hosting power a good few years now, I have hosted a lot of really nice students over the years with no problems, I love meeting students from different countries and learning about their culture and what they are studying here in Ireland, unfortunately I have to say that I'm finding it much harder to get real students on the site lately as most people looking to rent the room when they arrive in Ireland are either looking for jobs or working, I know rental accommodation in dublin is expensive for people but I signed up to hosting power for students and I don't want to be taken in lodgers, this is why I took one star off, other than this problem I do eventually get real students, it just takes a bit longer to find one, but it is a good company overall,
