The surveyor damaged my property

The surveyor damaged my property and didn’t say a word. When I complained, the company denied it and said the wood was rotten. I have the incident on ring doorbell and took a video showing the wood is solid which I have now provided. Do a damage sweep after they leave.

I find this company very… unprofessional

I find this company very unprofessional. I contacted them a few days ago to get a Level 2 Home buyers quote. They then proceeded to call and email me which was fine. However, when i did pick up the call i advised i have received a lower quote price elsewhere and instead of them looking to price match they went on a hate train about this other company!!! Saying they are charging way too much and are taking bookings in about a months time. I felt uncomfortable with the way Houzecheck spoke so unprofessional about another company and this lead me to not book with them.

Some advise for Houzecheck, please act more professional when speaking to customers and instead of hating on other companies try and persuade the customer why you are the company to go for.

Professional and thorough

Survey was booked quickly and efficiently. Communication was clear and consistent. Surveyor was very honest and pleasant and thorough. I feel very confident about the process and felt empowered to ask questions and follow up with any further queries about the report.

the company does goes through a third…

the company does goes through a third party be very carful my experience was very poor check the name of surveyor on ur documents in terms and conditions first , and bear in mind if u are unfortunately given a bad experience once u complain on the phone number u then get blocked.

ALWAYS CHECK THE INSPECTOR FIRST

Gavin from houzecheck itself was great, however I didn't realise they hire third party reps to carry out their inspections and the person they used didn't seem competent in the slightest. Inspected the fireplace unit claiming it to be electric, you can quite visibly see the gas pipe going into it. Accompanied with a damp reading of 999.9 on a completely dry interior wall, by that logic the walls should be completely saturated.

Max the surveyor is first class, he even turned the taps on! If you want a survey, ask for him! He took time to go through everything by phone and was brilliant!
