Late Shipment Means I Will Run Out of Meds

I have an auto-renew set for my eye medication. On about October 15, an automated call asked me to confirm that I wanted the drug shipped (I said yes) and confirm my address. The call then said my drugs will be shipped and I'll have them in a few days. Without any notice to me (neither call nor text), the order was cancelled on 10/17. (Good thing I checked the app to find out). Supposedly they discovered they needed a new prescription from my doctor. I believe this was not correct, that there were 2 or 3 refills remaining. Anyway, they received the new prescription on 10/22, and the status on their app went to "order being filled." It still said that on 10/25, so I called them. I explained that due to their delay I was running out of my eye med, and needed them shipped immediately. The rep said that since the order was in process, there was nothing she could do to speed it up. She was pleasant but essentially useless in solving my issue. They apparently have NO PROCESS TO SHIP NEEDED DRUGS QUICKLY. My eyedrops are finally shipping today (10/28) -- 6 days after Centerwell got the new prescription. I am out of drops and I still won't get the drops from Centerwell via USPS for several days. I've not had any issues in the past with Centerwell, but this delay is totally unacceptable. I regret not using CVS, where I could have picked up the drugs the same day my doctor ordered them. I will not use Centerwell for any other prescriptions.

CenterWell is Evil

Several CenterWell employees told me for $233.13 I’d receive a 90-day supply of Ozempic. Then they sent me 1 pen and charged my credit card $233.13.
I have a screenshot of their website saying I’d be charged- $233.13 for 3 Ozempic pens for a 90-day supply.
I spoke with Bridget, a CenterWell pharmacist, she told me the number “3” means milliliters. LOL! Then she tried to tell me I’d never received a 90-day supply from them before. I corrected her with my credit card documentation. I have proof.
Then she tried to tell me my doctor had only prescribed a 28-day supply which is absurd. This is the 2nd time they have done this very thing- telling me and showing me one thing then doing another. I’ve had it. Blood pressure rises every time I think about them.
On 9/9/2024, CenterWell sends me an email stating I am to return a quantity of 3 pens to them and then I’ll receive a refund of $233.13. THEY DIDN’T SEND ME 3 PENS SO HOW CAN I RETURN THEM??!!

Stay away from Humana AND Centerwell

Stay away. First of all, it took them forever to fill the prescriptions.

Then, someone named Gayle left a message to call her at an 800 number or she would keep a hold on the merchandise. I called the 800 number and they said they would get back to me in 24-48 hours. It turns out Gayle wanted to verify my address. I have verified my address dozens of times with Customer Service. They are incompetent as can be.

Big disappointment

Everything. Took forever to get my member ID accepted. I wasted a lot of money unnecessarily. Nobody told me I could get a card that works in stores. The otc products thru Humana are very expensive and most of my order was cheap generic crap I never heard of at above premium prices. I had a lot to spend because nobody told me I had this til this year. Had I known about the physical card, I could have gotten 3 months supply of otc things I need. It could have been so beneficial for me.

Centerwell is a failure

1 - Constant problem of "Can'treach your doctor" for auto refills, I'm done. Looks like other reviewers have same problem. I'm through spending hours trying figure this out for Centerwell. Also, phone agents can't answer questions that aren't in their rote list of responses. In other words, they can't trouble shoot an issue.

You name it, it's junk

You name it, they can invent things that can go wrong. Slow unresponsive site. And maybe if you're on the site at 8 AM Sun morning, works fine. Ha-ha-ha, that place is a joke made by children in grade school. And folks it's not getting any better. Good example of a company that could care less about it's customers.

Deceptive practices

I started using CenterWell to fulfill my prescriptions along with my wife’s prescriptions because at our age and health conditions we cannot drive to the local pharmacy. When I contacted CenterWell 2years ago the promised promp delivery but as time went on those promises began to fail and deliveries were days and then weeks late or not delivered. When I would call CenterWell I would get lies of every kind. I’m not stupid and the doctors will tell you that you can’t stop your meds abruptly for any reason. CenterWell is putting us in danger by this practice. Update 7/17/25. Things haven’t changed much, they’re still difficult to work with.

OTC products: Miserable selection, badly overpriced

I'm relative new to Humana and to Centerwell Pharmacy. I've been taking advantage of a Humana OTC allowance benefit, which is only available through Centerwell. I have four problems:

1. Their selection is terrible. They are missing some basic OTC items.

2. Their prices are ridiculously high, as in double or triple what I can get from my local drugstore, and even worse when compared to Costco or Walmart.

3. Their generic items are really poor quality.

4. What you see and order on their website is not necessarily what is delivered. If you complain, you are told that this is standard practice. (For example, I ordered a Curad elbow brace, with dual straps. What I received was a generic elastic sleeve, with no straps and virtually no support. Their customer support basically shrugged their shoulders and said that they could not refund this order, as it was, in fact, an elbow "brace" and, hence, in their view I got what I ordered.)

If they are this terrible with OTC products, I'll do everything in my power to prevent them from filling any of my prescriptions. This is ridiculous.

Select another pharmacy!

There isn't anything I like about this pharmacy. I can send in a prescription via the app, and although the prescription shows all required info perfectly, they must speak to the provider before filling. I have received numerous calls and emails that they are unable to reach provider and can't fill the order the 2 times I've used this feature. I've been asked to be put on the no call list, I still get numerous robo calls. I'm on medicare and this is my recommended pharmacy, but it has been a very frustrating and aggravating experience dealing with them for the past 1.5 years. The only redeeming feature is that I can get most of my prescriptions filled at a local pharmacy.

WAKE UP THE EXECUTIVES

The system they have in place is nothing but PURE FRUSTRATION AND STRESS! Just to get a simple prescription refill, it takes days on end of waiting, only to find the prescriptions have not even been processed or sent out. Their app is a totally useless. When calling to get things straightened out, it takes at least two calls to a human. The first call to explain how the automated system screwed up the prescription refill and get assured everything is OK. Then another call to a human to explain how the first call to a human didn't resolve the problem and then wait another 5 to 7 days for the (LIFE DEPENDANT) prescriptions that are now TWO WEEKS OVERDUE, even after paying the EXTRA fee to have them expedited (IN 3 DAYS)!

NONE OF THE PEOPLE that a consumer is able to speak with, has any authority to help the consumer, because their hands are tied to the STUPID and RIDICULOUS processes implemented by the management team to "streamline" to process for the consumer. Somebody should wake up the executives sleeping under their desks and force them to order prescription refills through their own company.

Title: "Humana's Transportation Service: A Disastrous Change"

Review:
My recent experience with Humana's transportation service, now handled by Modivcare, has been utterly disappointing. The transition has been a disaster, leaving me stranded and frustrated. Modivcare's inability to provide accessible service to all clients, especially those with unique needs like dialysis patients, is unacceptable. Their insistence on extensive notice for appointments, lack of flexibility, and disregard for individual circumstances have left me with no options but to rely on Uber, often leading to canceled appointments and missed healthcare opportunities. Furthermore, their use of vans or buses emblazoned with company logos violates privacy rights and HIPAA laws. The recent changes, seemingly driven by cost-cutting measures, have severely impacted patient care. I will be switching providers at the earliest opportunity.

Centerwell Pharmacy is a joke

Centerwell Pharmacy is a joke. If you call them, you get someone that speaks broken English. ZERO help! I gave up and hung up.
If I had known this I would have never gone with Humana! My Dr. is too busy for me to be calling everytime I have a problem with Centerwell. I'm going to see if I can't drop them both.

I have been in contact with Center Well…

I have been in contact with Center Well pharmacy about 3 times. First time they said it needed to be pre-approved. my doctor did all the pre-approval paperwork and sent it into them. the second time they said they needed 10 questions answered by my doctor. She did that. the third time the first gentleman said that it was shipped, but the computer page showed that it was cancelled. He transferred me to the pharmacy who then again said my doctor never sent in for the pre-approval again. All I get lies and the run around. This company needs to go out of business. Humanna needs to join a different pharmacy. I did not have these problems before they went to Center Well Pharmacy... Either go back to the original pharmacy or get a whole new pharmacy. You will start losing customers in your insurance company if this keeps up. please fix this situation.

The worst online pharmacy I have ever dealt with

I placed an order for a refill for two prescriptions a week ago. One order was filled and shipped. The other has disappeared from their system. So even though I have a print out of the web page that says "Thank you for your order" and provides all the details about my shipping address and payment method AND gives me a New Rx request #, there is nothing to show that I ever placed the order. I have spent 30 minutes with a chatbot confirming that the order was placed. I now have spent another 30 minutes talking to one of their reps. She can't find the order either. Unbelievable incompetency.

DO NOT USE THIS CRAPPY PHARMACY!

This place is a joke. Go find another pharmacy because whatever you send in to CenterBad Pharmacy, you will not get it. It is crap. I have tried and tried numerous times to get numerous prescriptions filled here to no avail. They accept the prescription and then after a few days they cancel the order. No matter how many times her Dr. calls in to give them the information they cancel the order. DO NOT USE THIS CRAPPY PHARMACY!

The WORST pharmacy I have ever dealt…

The WORST pharmacy I have ever dealt with!!! Incompetent, from the representatives to the complaint department. They will mess up everything about your order, information and even who deals with your prescription. No callbacks to me or my insurance company on important issues. When they don't want to handle your issue, you will be disconnected. If they remember to get your phone # in case you get disconnected, they will NOT call you back. If you want to be frustrated trying to actually get your prescription, just call Centerwell aka Humana Pharmacy. Don't say you were not informed!!! They took my order for specialty mefication WELL AFTER they knew that my insurance had dropped them, and never let me know that it would not be sent out. They did not even let my insurance company know that they took the order to fill prescription, which now I had to jump through hoops to get this medication. I have severe psoriasis and my whole body breaks out without taking it on time. Centerwell Pharmacy (aka Humana Pharmacy) did nothing to rectify the situation. Maybe thats why they changed pharmacy name from Humana to Centerwell!? Should be option for 0 star rating.

CenterWell Pharmacy - Terrible customer service and communication

CenterWell Pharmacy

1. Terrible customer service. Spoke to 3 agents by phone (only 1 was helpful) and to 1 by chat (who intentionally and abruptly ended chat without notice). Took about 3 hours total

2. Hidden policies. Policies aren’t communicated anywhere in online ordering system, like limits on # of items. You can order a large quantity, order is confirmed, then later you receive cancellation with no explanation. I had many cancelled orders and only learned why after contacting them.

3. Awful practices. Website clearly says that OTC spending allowance needs to be used by December 31. We placed our final online order on December 26, 2023, to use up remaining allowance for 2023 before December 31. CenterWell shipped the items in January 2024 and deducted from 2024 allowance. So we lost part of our allowance from 2023, because they didn't deduct the orders placed in 2023 from our 2023 allowance, and we now are already down in our 2024 allowance, even though we have not ordered anything in 2024! The website clearly says that funds do not roll over after December 31, but evidently CenterWell can deduct at their discretion. The only answer I received pointed to wording available ONLY in the print catalog that shows a December 20 deadline for submitting orders by MAIL. The wording is not found on online ordering site NOR does it say it applies to online orders. Following is the exact wording from mail-order catalog that customer service used to explain why our online shopping order placed in 2023 was deducted from the 2024 balance (capitalization added by me):

"For all members: MAIL AND FAX
Due to added time to receive your request by MAIL, we encourage you to allow extra time when placing your order. If you have a monthly allowance, submit your order by the 20th of each month. If you have a quarterly allowance, submit your order by the 20th of the last month of your allowance period. Last month of quarters are March, June, September, and December."
