Part One:
Part One:
When you phone Humana, or their Centerwell Pharmacy (Mail order delivery) the digital voice reads your phone number back to you and asks if this is the number they should use to call you back.
This is confusing are they not going to connect you, but will call you back later? Instead they should say: Is this your preferred phone number ?
The voice reads you phone number in a very confusing way. Let's say your phone number is:
235-678-9872
The voice says 23 56.... etc. Now humans always speak the area code as one unit, the next 3 digits as a unit and the remaining 4 digits as a unit. You are likely to be confused when the number is not read back using the normal, accepted, segments.
This error is unforgivable and shows that Humana does not have a single person on the staff to give feedback and correct stupidities like this.
Part Two:
I signed up for CenterWell Pharmacy for mail order delivery of my medications. I was told 7-10 days for delivery. Two of my 3 prescriptions were cheaper than my local pharmacy. I never got either deliveries.
No phone call to tell me that due to some problem nothing would be shipping.
I got an e-mail telling me to check my order status on-line. I had setup an on-line account already.
I logged in and saw there was a problem, the order could not be fulfilled. I was about to run out of important medication, so I ended getting it from my local pharmacy. Still no phone call, I tried to find out what the problem was using the on-line account, but I could not until I had setup a 2 Factor security, which I did not wish to do. There was no alternative, so I phoned. I got someone whose foreign accent was so strong I had to ask for him to repeat what he was saying 4 times before I could understand what he was saying. I finally understood that they could not get a response from one of my doctors, and there was no refill available. To cancel the account Iwas connected to a native speaker who was very understanding and explained that I could an extra helpful representative assigned to my account who would make things much easier. At this point I did not want to waste anymore time, or worry about getting my meds on time so I had them close my account.
Humana Centerwell Pharmacy needs to fix all these problems if they want to get and keep clients. I'm taking the time to give this feedback because there is no other way for the company to listen and I'm trying to help them improve the way they do things.
Unfilled Refills…
I placed a refill order and a tracking number was created but 10 days later USPS did not have the item for shipping. No real acceptable explanation was given for the delays. If you are in need of your medication, you will be better serve to have your care provider send your prescription to CVS, Wal-Mart, or Walgreen for faster service. Humana Pharmacy and Centerwell Pharmacy is not reliable for on time delivery.
Choose any other pharmacy if you want your meds
This has got to be the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. Centerwell Pharmacy has not changed anything. In fact they have gotten worse! I have always had issues with my prescriptions being delivered on time. Now it's worse. Most recently my doctor ordered 8 prescriptions for me, many of them new. This was on 9/2/22. It is now the 9/12/22 and they are either "processing" "on hold" or "action required". So let's break it down, shall we?
"Processing" is misleading. One would think that "processing" means there are no issues and they are actively working on your order. 90% of the time it will be "processing" for 7-10 days. Then, your prescriptions get switched to "on hold" or "action required". So you now have waited a very long time and you still will be waiting.
I have auto refills set up. Every month and I do mean EVERY month Humana will try and fill my prescriptions too early. I will get a email saying they are working on my prescriptions. I will get another email giving me an estimated delivery date. Then for those SAME prescriptions I will get a 3rd email saying it's too soon to refill and it will be placed on hold. YES, it's too soon to refill! But Centerwell/Humana or whatever they want to call themselves are the ones trying to fill it too soon. Not me!
"On hold" usually means that it is too soon to refill as described above. So wouldn't the message "Too soon to refill, we will refill it on such and such date" be better?
"Action required" This is my absolute favorite. This means that they need you to call them. Not that it will matter. You'll call, they will say they are trying to get in touch with your doctor regarding 1 of the 8 prescriptions. Wouldn't it make sense that they fill the other 7 while waiting for a doctors response? Nope, not them. They instead won't fill ANY of your prescriptions. My doctor will call them repeatedly, I will call them repeatedly and nothing gets solved.
The entire time I have been typing this I have been on hold with Centerwell. I have talked to them 5 times in the last 4 days. I now have been on hold for 38 minutes and 32 seconds. RIDICULOUS! The CSR has no clue why none of my prescriptions aren't being filled so she puts me on hold so she can "look at my account". Great, thanks. Maybe come back every few minutes and apologize. Don't leave the customer on hold listening to elevator music that quite frankly is making me more angry.
I get to told to go to my local pharmacy. If I could go to my local pharmacy trust me, I would. I am disabled, I have no transportation, I have no one that helps me. Every now and then I can manage to pay a delivery fee to get my prescriptions locally. Being on disability and getting hundreds (yes, hundreds. Not even 1,000 per month) means that I can't do this often. I have to keep a roof over my head and my daughters head and get groceries, pay electric, gas, water etc.
I shouldn't have to go to my local pharmacy. I pay outlandish monthly costs just to have this sub par drug plan. This is UNACCEPTABLE! I have 3 infections that have made my white blood cell count plummet. Yet, I am sitting here 10 days later with no prescriptions and no estimated date for them filling them! I asked if they could expedite my prescriptions, they said expediting would make them take longer. That is the opposite definition of "expedite".
I have now been on hold for 47 minutes and 12 seconds.
Choose ANY other pharmacy.
Humana Mail Order Pharmacy is the worst…
Humana Mail Order Pharmacy is the worst service i have ever encountered since I have been retired. It changed its name to CenterWell, but they still are the same crappy service. They want to charge me 150.00 for a 95.99 refill prescription. I am in the coverage gap and the photo shows that i should only pay 95.00 when using their preferred mail order. I have only paid 95.00 for each of my insulin prescriptions all year long. Even though the plan documentation agrees with my reasoning. Each employee tells you something different each time you talk with them on the phone. Do Not Use this service. "They are Thieves!"
Humana was acceptable in the past but…
Humana was acceptable in the past but lately they are intolerable. They pay less and charge more. Higher deductible and now they even to refuse to pay their portion of drugs they have paid for in the past. They won’t even accept my doctor sending them information on why I can’t take another drug on their preferred list. They even tried to get my doctor to prescribe a drug not FDA approved for my condition. They reject appeals for no reason. This behavior smacks of profit oriented vs. customer care. When open enrollment comes around, they are history. Avoid these guys!
Run! They don't care.
Run! Do not use Humana Pharmacy. They talked me into transferring all my RXs to them to save a little money. My very first order was screwed up. The promised no signature required. Guess what! Signatured was required (for refrigerated meds) and they weren't delivered. Instead they sat in a hot warehouse. They were only interested in pointing fingers so they wouldn't have blamed. Nobody cared about just solving my problem. With continuing problems I gave up and transferred all my RXs back to my local pharmacy.
It’s a 50/50 chance when you call if…
It’s a 50/50 chance when you call if you can get someone you can understand ,your meds are important and they need people who can converse in the language at the time of order ,ask for supervisor doesn’t work usually next person is just as bad , it shouldn’t take 45 minutes to order a prescription on file ! Sometimes if I get to frustrated I hang up , sorry to say .I lower my rating I had tried to get my meds but they have gotten worse
A necessary evil and the lesser evil of most.
This one is very difficult. My friend and I both used it. It took both of us over an hour to order 4 medications. Unfortunately the people put orders into the computer have no knowledge of pharmacyat all Fortunately I got to stop after I got on better insurance. Unfortunately they call to change things and I said no. I found that blocking their line and turning off unknown callers works. They say that they even speak with doctors about going over meds. The funniest one was the wrote AzelatinenNasal spray to Flonase which I was already on. they do interfere with patients and providers in my case. I just have them by get everything at CVS and it works well no using the mail order. Just use it.
They never let me speak with a pharmacist which is illegal in my state.
A huge headache/ Local is better because humana does not have pharmacist for patient calls
Horrible. They will never allow me to speak with a pharmacist which is the law in my state. They put people who do not know drug names answering the phone. If I have 3 medications to fill it takes 45 minutes to read and spell all the names they are too stupid to put a pharmacy tech on. They are also not only a pharmacy but a benefit manager, so they block because they want to change to a cheaper item. The items they change to are for a different diagnosis than prescribed.
Oh and make sure to never check off the box to let a business know you left it. They will leave a message that they want to work it out, but they give instructions of how to remove the review instead.
