Cat urine UV survey
Our tenants reported the smell of cat urine. After researching what I needed to do - a UV survey of the carpets to determine severity - I found this company who provide the service. The report was conclusive, informing what our course of action needed to be. Service was provided within a couple of days. Attentive service with a phone call received, as well as the report, to confirm findings. Recommended.

I had a mark on my carpet of hot iron and I thought I could never get rid of it and have to return the keys tomorrow to the agency, was desperate and I found this company I explained everything and he made time to come and do it and it’s amazing how beautiful the carpet looks.. it’s like the mark was never there. Carpet savior!
In a panic I reached out to a few carpet repair companies yesterday to sort out the burn marks I’d been trying to fix myself to no avail. Richard contacted me right away, gave me advice and a quote, and was able to fit me in next day. Today the burn marks are unnoticeable thanks to him. He came first thing in the morning and was in and out within the hour. I am relieved! The price was higher than what I expected, but worth it for next day service. Richard was very friendly and good company while he worked.

I can’t recommend these guys enough
I can’t recommend these guys enough. Used them this week to repair my rental flats carpet after my dog had chewed it.
Richard came after work as I was moving the next day, which was over and above in my book.
He explained how it might not be invisible due to the carpets age. The results however were brilliant. The landlord has returned my deposit without a mention.
These guys saved me loads and I can’t thank them enough.

poor craftsmanship, lack of common sense and verbal abuse
If you are looking for poor craftsmanship, lack of common sense and some verbal abuse, the Carpet Repair Guy is your guy! I asked for the carpet on a few stairway steps to be repaired but it was done in a poor finish with severe stitching showing and some old yellow glue being exposed. Also when one end of the step was secured, the other end detached completely creating even more serious issue than before. It is pretty common sense to anticipate one end to give up when you pull at the other end, but the 'repair guy' found it to be a new opportunity to charge me. When I refused, he started shouting. All in all, a very disappointing experience.

When we attended your property, we identified that your stair carpet had been incorrectly installed, with gripper rods designed for wooden surfaces used on a concrete staircase. This improper installation caused the grippers to fail, leading to the carpet coming loose. Before carrying out any work, we explained this issue to you and advised that while we could reinforce the gripper rods with the correct nails and adhesive, the existing carpet damage meant the repair would not be seamless. You acknowledged this and signed our pre-inspection assessment before we proceeded.
The step in question had been individually cut by the original fitter, meaning it was not connected to other steps. A video of the step's condition before the repair can be viewed here:

After completing the repair, we showed you that the reattached gripper rod was secure.
You mention in your review that there was severe stitching showing—however, we had already pointed this out to you on the day as an unavoidable issue caused by the original incorrect carpet installation. Due to the way the carpet had been previously cut and fitted, the edges had frayed over time. This was not a result of our repair but rather a direct consequence of how the carpet had been originally installed. We were upfront about this before proceeding with the work.
A few days later, you contacted us again, reporting that a different step further up the staircase had come loose. When we arrived, we inspected the issue and confirmed that, as we had previously explained, the same incorrect installation method had been used throughout your stairs. This meant that other steps were likely to come loose over time.
We took clear pictures showing that the gripper rods on this newly affected step had not penetrated the concrete properly, which was the cause of the failure. We explained this to you and advised that additional repairs would be necessary to fix the issue across your staircase. However, when we provided a repair quote for this separate repair, you refused to pay, insisting that it was our responsibility.
We take great pride in our work and always operate with honesty and transparency. Our original repair remains intact, and as explained, each step had been individually cut and was not connected to the others. When it became clear that you were unwilling to pay for this new repair, the conversation turned hostile, and you threatened to leave a negative review if we did not proceed for free. At that point, we felt it was best to leave.
While we regret that you are unhappy with the situation, we stand by the quality of our work and the professionalism of our team. We wish you all the best in getting your carpet properly repaired and installed.
