Service - no chance.

Trying to open an account and accidentally added the wrong phone number - trying to contact them, but absolutely no chance.

I'd they don't want our account then some other bank will.

They don't provide transaction data for…

They don’t provide transaction data for more than a year.
To be more specific, in the online banking (or the app) you can only view or export account transactions (“Kontoumsätze”) for the past 12 months.

I contacted customer service to request CSV files covering the previous two years. In their first reply, they referred me to my post box (where I can find Kontoauszüge, but no table or spreadsheet data). In their second reply, they simply wrote: “Den von Ihnen gewünschten Service bieten wir nicht an.”

Every other bank I know allows access to older transaction data in spreadsheet format — very disappointing and poor service.

ING DiBa Germany is really good

ING DiBa De is really good, I have been with them for over 20 years now and everything is spot on. I have fiinanced 2 Properties through ING and all went very good. OK one thing to mention recently its been very difficult to reach them over the phone but via EMail and ING DiBa Portal was all working out well! In particular the conditions for House financing mortgage were at very competative rate and throughout transparent! Bank Cards etc. all super cool! Overall eperience -
thanks god I was with ING DIBA!!!!

I would give them 0 stars if possible

I would give them 0 stars if possible. I have a permanent work contract and need to create a giro account for my salary. After 3 weeks it gets declined without an explenation.

I would really like English language of the app

I would really like to see English option of the App since this in the one of the most popular business languages and standard in XXI century. It is available in NL. Why not in DE?

Complete lies about loan increase at…

Complete lies about loan increase at any time.
I’m for quite a long time with ING and got many different things and already paid off few loans, but stating that existing loan can be increased at any time is complete false and at the end of the application they promote check24 even worse option than any other imaginable. If I would want to use check24 for sure won’t try to get a loan on directly with ING. So once it was a perfect bank now it’s a perfect scam. Very Sad…

Great customer support

With this bank since over 10 years (kept it also after moving to France). Getting support was never an issue, either by phone or by email. In the latest case, a French gas station debited the wrong amount to my Girokonto. Problem was kindly handled by the bank and the due amount was returned to my account.

10 euro fee for a new debit card!!!

Overall, it’s a great bank, but I really wish the app were available in English — it shouldn’t be difficult to implement. What really disappointed me, though, was being charged €10 for a new debit card after a simple name change. Seriously, ING? €10 for a replacement card? That’s just not acceptable in this day and age, and it’s exactly why newer banks are thriving. With my Revolut account, the same change was free and took less than two minutes.

Very unprofessional experience with car…

Very unprofessional experience with car loan.
Website says it take 1-3 days sharara in reality takes 15-30 days. That too tell you it's rejected.
Never apply for loan with this bank. Dolly else where even if interest rates are high.
They just ask for extra documents later and reject without any reason.

ATM refund

I had a problem that an ATM in Sri Lanka deducted cash without dispensing any money. ING refunded this very quickly even before this was confirmed by the local bank. Appreciated this service.

Our major issue with ING Germany is…

Our major issue with ING Germany is that transfers (even small amounts) take DAYS. Other banks it is INSTANT. The other strange thing is ING charge for things which other banks don't charge for. They sent us a defective VISA card and charged us €10 to send us one that worked. Customer service is difficult and poor. Transfers of €2001 or more require 4 hours notice (does this make sense?) rather than secure checks against fraud? Other banks are responsive and more secure! And with them I can pay a friend instantly!

We cannot comment on the processing procedures at the other bank.
