Three of your auction houses have refused to refund my costs on items that arrived damaged I sent pics right away. Then they disappear. The. Davis bros we’re so rude they called me names and said I should have called. Ups. Coral gables just doesn’t answer calls. This no way to run a business but. Mr. Davis was the rudest of all by far

Unfortunately this site allows sellers…

Unfortunately this site allows sellers to peddle counterfeit goods and does nothing about it. I've seen numerous fake Louis Vuitton and Chanel. When questioned about it they advised to contact the seller. I did and the seller did nothing about it.

If is not safe to buy from this site unless you are experienced in authentication.

Invaluable submitted unauthorized bid in my name

Here is my story.... Invaluable submitted an unauthorized "winning" bid from my account on an item without my approval or any action from me.

I have used them in the past with no problem until now.

I explained to them via chat that I do not even collect the item that I supposedly bid on (antiquarian books), and there was no way I had bid on this item, even by mistake. This is not a case of "buyers remorse" since I had never even looked at the item / Lot on their website.

They said their system shows that I bid on it when it came up during the live auction, not before such an absentee bid.

I said there had to have been a glitch in their system software, since I did NOT bid on this item or any other item in that auction that day using Invaluable.

Here is partial chat transcript:

Invaluable (2/19/2024, 5:19:43 PM): We did not place a bid. You had to be present in a live bid situation for a bid to go through.
Invaluable (2/19/2024, 5:20:32 PM): There is no way for our platform to just make a bid for you.

I went ahead and paid the auction house $300 for the old book I never bid on because they need to pay the seller for it.

Anyway, I recommend that you register directly with the auction house itself instead of using Invaluable, since they do not take responsibility for what was a defective bidding platform, at least in my case.

Counterfeit art sold by Hucksters

This site continues to advertise and take a % of earnings from counterfeit art even after notified and offered official proof the art is fake (Many times accompanied by a fake COA) Be careful. I suggest you never buy anything in a frame because this is where most fakes either in stellar or poor condition are hidden. Aside from that, unless you see a Certificate of Authenticity from a noted expert you take an enormous risk here.
Federal Authorities have listed art Fraud as third in corruption to Drugs and Human Trafficking. You will see this played out on Invaluable and there is a no return policy on Auctions. Counterfeiters have hundreds of tricks they play to sell their garbage on this site and Invaluable turns a blind eye. In my opinion this site is worth the time of the FBI and or the U.S attorney for a full investigation. I'd love to provide testimony. As for the consumer, take your business to only the most reputable of Art dealers. Be safe.

About bidding

Well, what's not to like? I think I've broken the code on bidding -- put all you can spare according to the date of the auction if you really, really want the item, as I have done, and I got relatively low strike prices for far less than my highest bid. Please don't betray my secret to any bidders! Thanks. Derel/

I wanted to bid on a Japanese Flag but was denied

I wanted to bid on a Japanese Flag on Davis Brothers Auction which is one of many Auctions houses listed under Invaluable. I was informed via a message from Davis Brothers that my bid was not being accepted with no reason as to why. I contacted Davis Brothers Auction and was informed by a message that I was now able to bid on the Japanese flag but when I went to bid I was again denied. I can not understand why as I successfully bid on an item a few weeks prior. Then today I saw that the Japanese flag I had wanted to bid a thousand dollars on had been sold for $550 dollars, well below net worth. I again contacted Davis Brothers and received a nasty message that I was no longer authorized to bid on their Auction. I can not understand why as I had previously been successful in bidding the prior month. That item arrived damaged and I filed a claim with Davis Brothers. At no time was I disrespectful during any of these transactions. For Davis Brothers to cut me out of the bidding process and falsely claim that I was authorized to bid when I was not, and then once the bidding was over to tell me I was no longer authorized to bid with them gives Davis Brothers a bad reputation not to mention I had a very good chance of winning that bid which they denied me the privilege of bidding. I notified Davis Brothers that I was displeased with their action. Bidders who have a clean record of successfully bidding should not be treated in this manner and I want to make this know to Invaluable and the public. I have not been able to contact Davis Brothers using this system.

I had won a lot back in April of 2023…

I had won a lot back in April of 2023 it is now January of 2024. I never received the product or a refund. I was told that my card was refunded back in September but I never saw the money. I continue to call customer service and the company I won the product from and I have no success. Keep your money and your sanity and stay away from this website.

There are some really good items and…

There are some really good items and sellers but a large majority of the auction houses doing regular auctions are selling fakes. They are also not providing any legitimate source of appraisal in many cases, trying to get more than retail at an auction for jewelry. It is especially difficult purchasing jewelry online as the photos tend to not do it justice. The platform would be great if they would remove the bad sellers.
