I would give a zero review

I would give a zero review. I sent very 3 expensive pieces of jewelry. It’s been 2years and they never paid nor returned my jewelry. Big scam as far as I’m concerned.

THIS SITE IS REALLY BAD

THIS SITE IS REALLY BAD. It still makes me sick to think of what they do.
I sent my wedding bands and engagement ring to see what they’d give me. It was bought from Kay’s and retailed over 5k. They sent me FORTY ($40!!) dollars and I thought it was a JOKE! I NEVER cashed the check (to this date) and contacted the BBB, but they dismissed the case. No one was any help and they stole my rings. BEWARE. I legit have ZERO money from the transaction and no one could “find my rings” when asking.

I had a horrible experience with them…

I had a horrible experience with them and it looks like some of the reviews on this site also had the same. Looks like they keep about 2/3 of their customers happy but the other 1/3 get scammed. I lost some valuable jewelry to them. I got practically nothing. They do not follow their advertisement of giving you a quote FIRST. They just go ahead and send you a check for a small amount and if you cash it--too bad! That means you accepted "their quote"

SCAM! THIEVES! Don’t send to them!

PLEASE DONT SEND YOUR ITEMS IN. These people are a SCAM! The “offer” they send is ridiculously low, and while the site says that if you don’t like the offer you just contact them and return the check to get the jewelry back, it’s nearly impossible to get ahold of them. They hide their mailing address, don’t respond to emails, the phone doesn’t go through, the chat button on their website doesn’t work. I was finally able to get my things back after MONTHS of arguing through the better business burea but now I’m wondering if they even still have the real stones I’m my jewelry. They are crooks. The positive reviews that you see must be fake. Just do yourself a favor and if you’re in a pinch, try pawnshops etc.

I sent in some jewelry to be appraised…

I sent in some jewelry to be appraised in April 2020. I chose I Want What It's Worth specifically because the jewelry stores were closed due to Covid-19. I never heard from them and by April I was emailing asking if my pieces had been received. I never heard back. I then received an unidentified check in the mail for $24. I had no idea who or where it was from so I took it into my bank. They said it was a fraudulent check. I then realized that it was sent from I Want What It's Worth and emailed their support email stating I was not happy with offer and wanted my jewelry returned. That was on April 28th. I only just heard back from the company on July 6th and that was because they say I have an "open account" with them as my check has not been cashed. They are also claiming that because I did not contact them within 10 days that I cannot get my jewelry back. Even though they have a "love it guarentee" where they will send your jewelry back if you do not like the offer they send you. There was nothing about the "10 days" in the packet they sent me. They also seem to have false reviews on their website. Their "client care manager" Ariel has been very unhelpful through email.

Scammers

Scammers
I sent two gold pendants, one with garnets and diamond chips. My local pawn shop had already offered me $50, but I thought they were worth more. I received a check for $35 and emailed them that day I wanted to return the check and get my pieces back. I had no specific address to mail back the check, and requested the address in my email. Ten days later, after three telephone calls and another email, I mailed the check to the incomplete address I had. It was returned by the post office six weeks later as undeliverable. After several emails with Arielle, she told me my jewelry was no longer available.
Since I thought I had no choice, I deposited the check using my phone app. A few hours later, Arielle suddenly emailed me my jewelry was found, I just need to send a photo of the check. I did - assuming they would stop it before it cleared my bank. I would have a returned deposit fee, but I would have my jewelry.
Within minutes - Arielle emails me again calling me a lier and saying she knows I cashed the check therefore not entitled to my jewelry.
My thought is she knew I had deposited the check when she told me my pieces were found.

Horrible service

Update July 21:
I received my jewelry back July 1st. Such a hassle with several different state attorney generals involved. Do NOT recommend.
Update June 30:
I filed a claim with the BBB, NM attorney general, and NY attorney general. They didn’t respond to my multiple emails until those measures were taken. May 29th, they claimed my jewelry had already been liquidated and there was nothing they could do. I told them that is unacceptable, and goes against their contract. They claimed the COVID-19 crisis hurt them so these were the measures taken. After they heard from the multiple attorney generals offices, they magically found my jewelry and claim to be mailing it back to me. It was supposed to be mailed yesterday (June 29th) but I have yet to receive a tracking number. I’ll update again once (or if) I receive my jewelry back.

Horrible service. I sent my jewelry months ago and have emailed 4 times. I’ve never heard back to anything I’ve sent. I will be filling a claim. This is unacceptable when dealing with expensive jewelry pieces.

Do not deal with this company

Do not deal with this company. I had the worse experience! I sent them jewelry to get appraised.. Received a check in the mail for $50. Never agreed to the price! Requested my jewelry to be returned. Sent numerous emails tried to return voided check only to have it returned to me. They still have not responded to me and still have not received my jewelry. This is way to run a business! I am beside myself! I dont know what to do next😞 I WANT MY JEWELRY BACK!

It was very easy to send the items and the offer came quickly. I just wish it would have been more. In their ad they say you get more than you would anywhere else, but I don’t think so. I know I had the option to refuse the offer and get my items back but I just chose to take the offer.
