I've been using iWeb since 2002 (when it was imiweb) and had nothing but great service from them. Low trade fees and zero account management fees, guidance through the US W-8BEN form if you have US shares, virtually instant connection through live chat and phone. Very highly recommended.

Fine until you need them do anything - then they're absolutely useless
Nothing wrong with iWeb until you need them to do something and then they become absolutely infuriating. I'm moving my ISA to another provider, who tell me iWeb have declined it because of an address mismatch. I check the address and it's exactly the same. If there was a difference, it's the SPACE between the first half of my postcode and the second, which is a normal format either way. Any human would recognise the address as being a match. Clearly iweb aren't paying any attention and haven't got back to my attempts to speak to them. Effectively my money is tied up so i'm resorting to writing this review.
Changing my address, for the sake of the space, is also completely infuriating. It says complete a change of address form but doesn't offer a link to the form. Once you find and open the form, you need to enter your PRN. To wind me up even more, the field to enter my PRN is locked from copy/pasting it in. My PRN also isn't viewable on the screen (bearing in mind I have to be logged in to get this far so why do I need to enter my PRN again). Once I get this transfer completed, I'll never be using iWeb again.

Excellent platform
I’ve been with IWeb for many years now and have been very happy with their service and costs which are very competitive. Recently I needed help with dealing with a corporate action and I was very impressed with the online chat service and particularly their associate
IMAD who was excellent who dealt with the issue very professional and in a customer focused way. Happy to recommend IWeb.

I have been very satisfied with I-web for some years, very reasonable charges. I had some dificulty today but the chat person was very helpful given that I have hearing impairment and do not like using phones.

Been with iweb for about 15 years, recommended.
Been with iweb for about 15 years holding a trading account and an isa account and never had any issues with them, always been quick and efficient in my dealings with them.
When I have needed to speak to anyone have always been put through to a native English speaker without delay.
I have accounts with ii and Hargreaves Lansdown as well. ii have a small monthly charge but give you one free trading credit a month, HL like iweb have no monthly or annual charge (I only have shares with them, there would be charges if I held unit trusts) but higher dealing costs, but overall little to choose between them.
I have noticed that iweb are usually a day later paying dividends compared to the others.

No two-factor authentication in 2025!
Why is there no 2 factor authentication! It's outrageous! Relying on "secret question-answers" is so 2005's.

Transfer money into an ISA
I wanted to transfer money into an ISA from a share dealing account but couldn't find the right form on the website. I used the chat function and quickly the bot handed me to a customer service agent and we did the transfer over the chat function. No going round in loops with a bot - a first!

Contacted them recently in relation to a closed account. Customer service was staffed by humans and prompt/helpful. I didn't get the resolution I hoped for but I didn't feel it was the fault of the customer service rep. Good customer service staff.

Humans 4 bot 0
4 stars for Hafsa and Shareen . No stars for intensely irritating bot. If it simply asks for PRN the agent surely has access to all the other contact details. No?

The fund which is listed on the research page is not listed in the pull up menu on the dealing page AND inc / acc are not differentiated there.
The fund is Vanguard ftse Developed World ex uk equity Index acc. The price is 740.71.78. It is available according to the Research page but not under Dealing. Shocking and very frustrating. Been with iWeb years.
