Jointohire do not take their customers seriously

I've been trying to reach my freelancer for months. He doesn't answer and wanted to have the work done by May. For this, money has already been deducted from my account - without having done anything! So I set up a complaint form at JoinToHire. Not only that: They don't even answer and pretend that everything is okay and close my complaint case without solving the problem. I can only advise against using the provider JoinToHire, unless you have too much money left and want to give it to a company that does not meet its obligations to the customer. Please keep your hands off them and look for a serious freelancer portal.

The programmer ask to use this platform after meeting on Upwork because the fees were too much there. I'm out 1200$ Did a claim trough Paypal but NO luck. Stay away from them.

This website can not be trusted

This website can not be trusted, to say the least. I lost 600$ using it.

If you hire a freelancer with the “hourly payment” these are automatic. You are debited even if you don’t validate the payments.
I had 375€ of hours logged for a freelancer who didn’t delivered anything, and have been debited 600$, so even their IT system is buggy.

I sent multiple support request and had simply no answer from jointohire so far (It has been 1 month…). Their dispute management message system is totally useless.

No protection for the client!

Watch out! They will not refund you when the payment went trough their application even the freelance is not working.

My credit card was charge two times without any reasons!

The support doesn't help much and takes weeks to take actions.

AVOID JointoHire.com

I found a software engineer on Upwork, who asked that I open up a contract via Jointohire.com, since it would cost him much less in transaction fees. So I did so.

Jointohire charged my credit card a few pennies, which was ok, since they were simply validating the payment form, I reasoned.

The contract with the engineer was paused, since I was never able to get hold of him again. But - my credit card was charge thousands of dollars during this timeframe, unbeknownst to me. And - despite that fact that not an hour of time was logged in Jointohire!

My bank investigated, and cleared all the charges.

This is a scam. Do not leave Upwork to do a contract via Jointohire!

This website is a complete scam

This website is a complete scam, I would never use it again. After finding a freelancer on Upwork, he said it would be easier to build the contract through JointoHire.com, so I checked it out and it seemed very similar to Upwork. I quickly discovered the entire process was shambolic and I wasted a lot of money chasing a freelancer that never did the work I asked and I was over-billed for the work the freelancer claimed to have completed.

Upon the start of the job, the freelancer did not quite understand the documented requirements of the job (despite his proposal stating he did and how he would go about completing the tasks with a timeline) I asked to have a phone call with him to review the requirements and he declined to do so. After repeatedly chasing him via email it seemed to our team that he had falsified his capabilities, drastically underestimated his estimate for completion of the project and never actually delivered anything. He didn't appear to be the developer he claimed to be on his profile.

After cancelling the contract and asking for the full package of what he had completed, another more professional and competent developer reviewed his work, only to find out he never really completed anything. I then filed a dispute, which JointoHire.com rejected, claiming all work was documented in a work diary. I asked to see this work diary since no activity was logged on JointoHire, and I never received it. Two months after the close of the contract, I was billed again even though the contract was closed and the customer service is doing nothing to rectify the issue.

I am appalled at the unprofessional nature of this. Do not use this site!!

For any project getting sufficient…

For any project getting sufficient bidding from the freelancers, with a varying level of expertise & pricing to choose as well as the locality. The Freelancers also try to maintain good rating they try as much as possible to maintain good relationship with the client.

Scam. Don't make the same mistake I did.

A freelancer I wanted to hire on Upwork said she wanted to do her work through this website, so after a brief check online of reviews I thought it was a legitimate website, and moved forward with my project.

The website says you authorise payments once you have seen the work, and these are held in an Escrow account in the meantime. THIS WAS NOT MY EXPERIENCE.

My account was not only billed for the 25 hours my freelancer added to the site, but then before these hours were even half completed...without my freelancer adding any further hours to the site...I was billed for a further $95 and then two weeks later a further $135.

I haven't seen evidence for 9.30hrs of work logged by my freelancer...let alone the 23 hours (outside of the 25 we agreed in the contract) I have been charged for on top of what I was expecting to pay!

I have NO IDEA why these payments were taken and their customer service has not been forthcoming so far. I fully intend to keep everyone here updated on how this situation plays out. I have deactivated my card and paused the contract so as to avoid any further payments being taken from my card...but judging by other reviews this may not be effective.

I will keep you posted.

Scam. Theft.

Dears,

These people will steal your money. I have had an issue with them. They say pause your your contract and you will not be charged. I put the contract paused from day 1. After 2 months they stole 250USD from my account. I tried to find out why. Then i founf out that if the freelancer is tracking hours even if the contract is paused they will charge you anyway. Its a scam and never ever ise the website. They keep your credit information even though they say they don’t.
