John Paul was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and had plenty of time for the multitude of questions I had as a first time buyer. I would certainly recommend Jones Whyte to anyone who didn't know where to start at the beginning of their home purchasing process.

I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with Jones Whyte has been extremely concerning, and I feel a responsibility to share it.
I was a client of the firm for over six months in relation to an asylum matter. During this time, I provided two full folders of original documents and supporting evidence. However, very little substantive work appeared to be carried out on my case.
In the weeks leading up to a critical Home Office interview, I was left without meaningful preparation, clear legal advice, or a structured case strategy. Repeated requests for written guidance were either not answered or addressed only in very general terms.
During a key period in March, when my interview had already been scheduled, my solicitor was unavailable and no effective handover took place. As a result, I was left without proper legal support at a critical stage of my claim.
I am a vulnerable client with documented medical conditions, including severe anxiety. Despite this being known, I experienced significant pressure and a lack of appropriate adjustments in communication and support.
Most concerningly, after I raised formal complaints with the relevant regulatory bodies, the firm abruptly confirmed they would undertake no further work on my case, without any transition, support, or referral to alternative representation.
This left me without legal representation during an extremely sensitive stage of my asylum process
The stress caused by this situation had a serious impact on my health and required medical intervention.
I would strongly advise anyone, particularly vulnerable clients or those with complex immigration matters, to carefully consider their options before instructing this firm.
My experience highlights the importance of clear communication, proper case preparation, and duty of care — all of which I did not receive.

I cannot recommend Colin Simpson highly enough for his legal support. From the very first meeting, he provided a clear, easy-to-understand overview of the entire process, which really helped settle my nerves. What stood out most was the constant communication; I was never left wondering what was happening. Colin was professional, empathetic, and made a difficult situation much easier to navigate.

Both my wife and I attended a meeting with Sarah Dooey regarding the annual review of our family protection trust Very impressed with Sarah she explained the changes that would benefit the trust moving forward and answered all the questions we put to her. Felt no pressure to make decisions on any matters on the day of the meeting. Once again very impressed with Sarah.

Just awful - they do everything to delay matters, don’t answer phones, don’t answer emails, takes months in obfuscation of every matter and then won’t refer to complaints or management - AVOID
Great communication, paperwork clearly shows what steps to expect during the process making everything so much easier

We were referred to Jones Whyte by the Children’s Hospital Trust through their charity wills scheme. Solicitors give their time free of charge for this service and clients are encouraged to leave a bequest to the charity in exchange. It’s very good of firms to raise money in this way and we appreciated that solicitors are giving their time to benefit charities.
Sadly, however, things went wrong from the very start. We found it was impossible to contact them by phone; after selecting various options, the call connects with a messaging service then turns off. An email did get a response and we were given a 15 minute telephone appointment for a specific day and time. We made ourselves available but no call was received. Two days later, at last, we were contacted but by then the frustration of this method of working led us to decide to go elsewhere.
The high satisfaction level at Trustpilot leads us to speculate that charity will clients perhaps receive a second-class service?
