Horrible customer service

I honestly cannot remember the last time the I make the effort to write a bad review. It's just not something I want to waste my time on, but in this case, I cannot let it go. I would give zero stars if I could

I ordered food from Just Eat on 3 May in Santiago de Compestela, Spain. After a much longer time than the app quoted, I was finally alerted that my driver was on the way around 5pm. I immediately when to the lobby to ensure I was there to meet the driver. Despite my address being correct (house 2A) and even ensuring the GPS pin was exactly the main lobby (it is quite a large building), the driver went to the wrong location. After 5-10 mins of the driver not moving, I tried to find a way to contact the driver to see what was going on. I thought maybe he/she was picking up another order? The app didn't have that option so I contacted their support center.

During this time I was talking via the app with support, apparently the driver left the food somewhere (though I have no idea where because there is no photo provided like with Uber Eats or Door Dash). I tried to go find it, but with no photo I just had to walk around the street looking. I never found the food.

Look, I understand mistakes happen. I'm not even that upset I didn't get the food. What I am upset about is Just Eat's refusal to provide a refund or any sort of acknowledgement of their error. I have provided the proof that the driver was at the wrong location, but they simply refuse to give any concessions at all.

They said the driver tried to contact me. I was literally texting with support via their app at this. My phone never rang! Without a backup method for the driver and I to communicate (such as a chat/text feature in the app) and no photo proof of delivery, I blame the Just Eat System for this failure, not necessarily the driver himself.

You may ask, why didn't I just walk out and try to find the driver? It was raining quite hard. It was the ENTIRE reason I ordered food delivering in the first place so that I didn't need to go out in the rain. I was prepared to tip well given the weather too!

Anyway, I'm now contesting the charge with my bank. It's ridiculous that Just Eat won't acknowledge their failures, which is why I'm left with the only recourse I have, which is to share my experience to maybe prevent others from wasting their money with this company that clearly doesn't put their customers first!

DO NOT ORDER from just eat MALLORCA

DO NOT ORDER from just eat MALLORCA. I have been messed around 3 times in the last 5 weeks due to them “ not having couriers”. They also play a little trick where you are told the time of delivery will be say, 30-45 minutes BEFORE YOU PAY, but then AFTER you pay, this is bumped up to 1.5 hours ….. and then it gets cancelled. Just awful. Don’t waste your time

Ridiculous

So, I placed an order, eagerly anticipating its arrival, only to be met with disappointment as it never showed up. Despite reaching out to Just Eat's customer service, all I received were empty promises. They assured me the restaurant would contact me, but I was left hanging. I've sent countless emails and made numerous calls, only to be met with more excuses and delays. It's been an agonizing two months of frustration and I'm still no closer to receiving my refund. This level of incompetence is beyond belief!

A nightmare

Ordering food from this app was a pure nightmare. It took two and a half hours from the time we ordered until we got the food. Couldn't contact the restaurant to cancel the crap either. When the food arrived, it was ice cold and half was missing. We did not dare to eat the food considering the time it had been out of control. When we contacted Just eat, it was a miserable experience, they didn't understand the problem at all and could only offer us a compensation of 5 euros for the delay. This 5 euros would be deposited into our account at Just Eat. It was like a mocking laugh. We will NEVER EVER use this crap app again and we will definitely write cv reviews inform our friends about this extremely poor service at Just Eat

If I could rate it zero stars

If I could rate it zero stars, I would have done so. This delivery experience and customer service were the worst I've ever had. Despite confirming delivery to my address, the order was delayed. When I contacted the restaurant, they refused to deliver it to my address. Funny thing, as the app allows the delivery within this area since I managed to place an order, unfortunately, Just Eat declined to issue a refund, insisting the restaurant must authorize it. Even though the restaurant confirmed they had authorized it several times and requested Just Eat to call them back, the support team kept closing the chat without resolution, claiming they couldn't initiate a refund. It's clear they are cheaters, thieves, and scammers. I've found thousands of reviews describing similar situations online. Do not use this app!

Order not delivered

I have ordered two hamburgers on the app, It said it was delivered but I didn’t receive it. We waited two hours and we tried to call but they said it was up to the restaurant. Never again

Delivers a good service.

Worst service possible.

Worst service possible.
The app fails to select restaurants that do deliver to the area, the customer service is beyond bad and extremely unhelpful.
