Poor material quality

Poor material quality. I bought 2 pieces of the Thea Top Handle Bag - Dark Olive. One was as a gift but my sister didn’t like it and gave it back to me. The other piece I used only a few times and the edge got scuffed. The material is so poor that the scruff is an entirely different colour (white) from the bag colour (olive). It’s as if it’s coated with a thin paint layer. I saw someone review it online and thought it was a value for money brand, but I would avoid in future.

Scam DO NOT BUY

Bought Hana Medium Tote Bag Brown Canvas, GBP 126.90 incl. 10% discount. Don't be fooled with glossy looking photo, the bag in reality looks cheap, won't worth more than £50-60. The 'vegan' leather is literally plastic.
Trying to refund to their stockist in London & Kingston Bentall Center but was advised they could not accept it, I had to send the bag at my own expense to an address in the US which cost around GBP 30-35.
I was given 3 options: (1) receive 30% refund and get to keep the bag, (2) receive voucher worth 80% of paid amount, can be used on JWPei products with no time limit, (3) receive 20% refund and a coupon worth 60% of paid amount to be used on JWPei with no time limit.
Obviously I was in no position other than taking option (1).
I wished I had read all the reviews before purchasing JWPei product. Stay away.

The bag I ordered fro JW Pei looked HORRIBLE1

The bag I ordered fro JW Pei looked nothing like the picture. It was a cheap bag, made of really bad materials. The hardware was an orange gold, the zipper didn’t work, and overall, it was just embarrassingly ugly!
Now, trying to do a return is the most ridiculous process I’ve ever had to go through. It is also quite confusing!
Now waiting to see if I’ll actually ever get my money back!

I wish I had read the reviews prior to me ordering. I was extremely disappointed with the level of difficulty I experienced while trying to return a pair of boots that cost over $150 and do not fit. This situation has been both inconvenient and frustrating.

The price of the bag is not worth it . Second to return an online purchase is a nightmare. You have to email the customer service email the provide .. they don’t reply back or respond. You can try chatting but you have to wait 24 hours to chat with someone and again no answer .

Avoid!

Ordered and paid for a bag on pre-order. Then decided to cancel order soon after but discovered company already attempting to take payment from my bank account. Surely this should not be put through till despatch authorised when reached the release date. Thoroughly disgusted and now awaiting the anticipated rigmarole of receiving refund via customer service. Should have read reviews first.

UPDATE:
Just like other complainants, all I received by email (only communication method available for their customer service) was generic response letters. All the same, one size fits all queries, with no individual input to the particular problem. You respond and get the same back. So this will need to go to a bank chargeback as they won't cancel or refund.

No effective customer service at all with JWP so I suggest if you really want their products, buy through a third party retailer more compliant with UK consumer rights.

I've dealt with some rubbish retailers but this one takes the biscuit!

LATEST NEWS:

After giving them 24 hrs to respond or I would start chargeback action, I got a swift personal response. Confirmed cancellation of order and refund would be made. Will wait now and see if this will be actioned as stated. Replies always come in early hours of morning so this confirms Customer service is abroad & not UK based.

FINALLY: Refund received fairly promptly but takes two weeks for cleared funds in bank account.

If I could give this pathetic excuse of a company a 0, I would. They are complete scammers. I ordered a bag from here and also paid £10 for shipping. When the order arrived, it looked nothing like the image. It was completely different. Most companies would offer free shipping if it was a fault of their own. These guys didn’t take any accountability and refused to compensate me for the fee of return (which was £30). Instead of being helpful, they just hit you with the same generic responses each time. Their customer service is a joke - one of the worst I have experienced.

Quality of the bag is also pretty awful considering the price. You’d get better in primark.

Please do not waste your money. Not worth it.

They officially sell on SHEIN

I bought two bags and thought people were making stuff up or were confused. Nope the bags are sold on SHEIN BY JWPEI, not a dupe, just a different place they allow you to buy their stuff. For about £30. Please do not waste your money spending triple that on their website for absolutely no reason.

I strongly warn anyone considering purchasing from JW PEI: do not do it. My experience with this company has been a complete nightmare from start to finish.

I placed an order on [insert date], was given a tracking number that has shown no movement for weeks, and every time I reached out for help, I was either completely ignored or given generic copy-and-paste responses that provided no actual solution.

They refuse to take responsibility, refuse to offer a refund, and make it nearly impossible to get any real support. Their “customer service” is basically nonexistent once they have your money.

This company is perfectly fine taking your payment—but you may never receive your order, your refund, or even a real response.

I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior from a supposed “brand.” Their practices feel deceptive, and based on my experience, I now believe they rely on marketing hype and influencers rather than actually delivering products or standing behind their customers.

If you value your money, time, or sanity—stay far away from JW PEI. I will be filing a chargeback and reporting them to consumer protection agencies. Consider this your warning: shop anywhere else.

Extreme Disappointment

I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with a recent order and the subsequent lack of customer service I have experienced. While I had hoped to provide positive feedback, I am left with no choice but to recount a frustrating experience that has spanned several months.

After seeing various fashion influencers showcase your products online, I decided to wait for a good sale to make a purchase. When a buy-one-get-one-free offer became available, I ordered the Adele bag in black and the Katherine Retro Tote in chocolate.

However, upon receiving my order, I found that I had been sent the Adele bag and the Scarlett Crossbody bag instead of the Katherine Retro Tote. I find the Scarlett Crossbody bag unsuitable for my style, and despite multiple attempts over several months to contact your company for a replacement, I have received no response through any of my outreach methods.

I am incredibly disappointed with this company's lack of customer service and the unresolved issue. I would appreciate it if you could advise on the next steps to resolve this matter.
