Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many people expressed dissatisfaction with the product quality, noting issues such as boots and shoes falling apart, soles detaching, and materials not holding up to expected wear. Customers frequently reported that items advertised as waterproof failed to live up to this claim, with feet getting wet quickly. There were also concerns about sizing inconsistencies and a perceived decline in overall quality compared to previous purchases from the brand. Some people were dissatisfied with the pricing, mentioning instances where products arrived with lower price tags than what they paid, or felt that the quality did not justify the cost. Additionally, a few other people also felt that the delivery service was unreliable, experiencing problems with parcel delivery.

Down turn in quality and sizing

Since around 2010, I have purchase at least two pair of KARRIMOR MOUNT LOW10WEATHERTITE Walking shoes each year from Sports Direct. The quality was in the early years very good, now it is more like you get what you pay for, if the price is low so, now it appears is the quality.
Dec 2025 I purchased a pair of Mount Low as normal, on arrival looked at the manufactoring info and noted info had changed from the previous purchases, including the pair I was wearing. No longer made in China now made in Indonesia, no longer Mountlow 10 weathertite but now Mountlow 00.
The fit is no longer the same either, I have always purchased size 9 and found them a comfortable fit, these are a tight fit not comfortable at all but as only used when walking the dog they will suffice. This may be an error on my part as I have never stipulated Mountlow10, I shall order another pair and see what happens. Moving the manufactoring from China may be cost cutting but not at the cost of quality, the days of the made in China tag being a sign of poor quality has in most cases gone, technology now allows good quality at cheaper and more affordable pricing. If there is no improvement the I like many others will look elsewhere.

AVOID THIS BRAND!!

AVOID THIS BRAND!!!
Bought a pair of boots and after a week the sole is falling off.
Absolutely shocking quality.

Karimor have fallen so far. It’s only a matter of time before they go under with products this poor.
Really sad as they used to make quality products.

Missold due to Karrimor's online errors.

Great shorts BUT after spending £22.99 (1 pair) as advertised, the shorts arrived with a price tag showing 'offer 2 pairs for £19'

Very annoyed that this was NOT shown online whilst purchasing!
Unfortunately, the shorts are going to be returned and I'll consider shopping elsewhere.
Karrimor, I'm surprised at this.

Sole fell off

Bought some walking boots. After very light use the soles fell off. After reading other reviews I did not complain. A shame as I used to like and trust this brand. Never again.

Not Honouring Warranty

I bought a pair of Karrimor walking sandles approximately 4 months ago from Sports Direct.
A small area of stitching has worked loose on the front upper section, I contacted Sports Direct for a warranty claim who arranged an inspection.
I sent them off to be inspected, the response was that it wasn't a manufacturing fault but somehow I was responsible. There is no visible damage to the area at all, no scuffs that could have potentially damaged the stitching. I was advised to get an independent inspection so I contacted Karrimor directly who lo and behold are owned by the same group, I got the exact same response.
The whole experience from product to customer service has been diabolical.
Whoever owns the company's has removed the option to upload photo's, I can see why.

Awful quality,cheap Chinese made rubbish.

Karrimor walking boots, supposed to be waterproof yet after 2 minutes walking in wet grass my feet were soaking. They appear to be made of blotting paper! You would get more protection wearing flip flops!
Third pair Ive owned and all have been terrible, only bought the third pair as they were heavily reduced in a closing down sale and I thought they might have improved the quality, they havent.

I bought a pair of karrimor winter boots from sports direct for £40 as I wanted something cheap and look good. so I don't mess up my premium shoe's as I like to look after my collection.
I don't know about long-term only had them for a week and I am absolutely delighted with them brilliant very comfortable love walking in them brilliant or rainy days I only bought them for general walking on tarmac to keep my feet dry and warm during winter and I don't care about long-term use for the price if I get 6months use il be very happy for the price. However I do think they will last way longer as they seem well made. I am very happy with my purchase and will certainly consider buying them again if required depending how long they last and keep my feet dry as they are already very comfortable.

Lion WTX are not waterproof

I bought a pair of Lion WTX Leather Mountain Boots in February from Sports Direct. I was quite happy with them until now when I discovered that they are not waterproof despite being advertised as such and having a fully sewn in tongue. As I no longer have the receipt I contacted Karrimor and explained the above and asked for a refund. They said I must go back to the retailer with proof of purchase within 28 days!! What a ridiculous response! I shall never buy any Karrimor product again.

I paid for a jacket £129 but received…

I paid for the 3to1 Karimoor jacket £129 but received one with 70% sale costing £55 . Only the saving was not passed to me. Someone in the Karimoor site is laughing all the way to the bank selling me something with a tag of £54.99 for £129. This is very shady. I have requested a refund. Funnily enough the mention this on their website

"The Website contains a large number of goods and it is possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the goods listed on the Website may be incorrectly priced. If we discover an error in the price of the goods you have ordered we will inform you as soon as possible. We will give you the option of re-confirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it.

The Seller is under no obligation to sell incorrectly priced goods to you at the incorrect price."

So... if they miss-price something as cheaper than it should be they are under no obligation to sell this. But they dont mention what happens when they charge 50% more. I guess I will find out very soon as I have sent an email to their team. Lets see if I will need to update the review to 0 stars. I will be claiming misleading or unfair pricing under the UK Unfair Trading Regulations.

Bought Karrimor caracal Sneakers on a…

Bought Karrimor caracal Sneakers on a trip to Europe this summer (from Canada). Absolutely and easily one of the worst footwear purchases I ever made. Within 3 weeks of wearing them the sole was punctured by a small rock on a walking trail - less than 50kms of walking/hiking wear.

I contacted customer support who said to return them for assessment. I told them I was in Canada so I couldn't do that and they again just said to return them to where I bought them for assessment, despite me explaining why this wasn't possible.

Anyway, the shoe is not as robust or well-made as other brands I have like (Merrill, Adidas, New Balance or Nike). The customer service is awful. Buyer Beware, spend your money on a better product from a company that knows customer service.

What has happened Karrimor trainers

What has happened Karrimor trainers? I used to enjoy the comfort when walking but now things have changed, even the assistant told me that when I tried some. They were the same look as previously but tighter toe space. I bought a different style but find they are not comfortable either. Then I did my research, too late, and realise they are no longer Karrimor but the name was bought by Sports Direct and now a cheap version of what was a very good trainer. The ortholite raise is still there but that's about it.
So off to find decent trainers now.
