Updates easily
The system runs smoothly and updates without problems.
My only concern is the fact that some transactions does not reflect the correct purchase price and assumes a zero based purchase. The program is obviously working well, but why then would one have the issue as mentioned?

Totally understand your frustration with some assets/transactions showing the missing price.
It is most likely related to an asset you are trading, if it's not listed on a reputable exchange or Coingecko/Coinmarketcap we will most likely assign a zero worth for it.
It will be later tagged as missing price to get your attention so you get to fix it manually via a simple worth edit via the UI or a bulk pricelist.
We do this because it is a universal accounting principle which is 'safe' to declare in case you proceed with filing whilst ignoring the error.
If you are still in need of some help reconciling some of the entries, please feel free to get in touch with our Support Team to get it checked out!

I've been using Koinly for 5 years. I tried 2 other similar crypto tax programs but found Koinly to be the most accurate and is easy to use.

Solid DIY option
Good DIY option to track crypto transactions / taxes. Good support for the major chains and defi activity. Not perfect, but their product is as good as I've been able to find in this space.
There are some headaches and tricks you need to learn along the way to get all the details right, but that is going to be true for any crypto tax product. That said, they are consistently adding new features to comply with evolving rules, and support is pretty responsive when you need it.

Koinly makes filing my capital gains in the UK super easy. I especially like it’s 100% accuracy with trades and staking on centralised exchanges. My Kraken reports are perfect. I also track my activity on chain (Solana, Ethereum) - I occasionally need to do some manual updates but overall it’s very good and getting better all the time.

It's true, tax time in the UK is no joke with many imposed wash sale rules as well as strict guidelines. Certainly doing our best to make it easier for our users!
We do have a partnership with Kraken as well as other Centralised Exchanges who help us make the reporting clear and transparent, I will pass your regards to our integrations team who are working hard in making things like this happen!
Occasional manual updates like merging/tagging/removals may be needed because we can't assume the validity of some on-chain operations, hence we rather give our users the choice to declare these as required.
We are a DIY platform in the end of the day.
Looking forward to seeing you next year, will definitely have more functions and integrations then!

good experience with minor hiccups
Koinly has been pretty useful -- I've used it from 2022 to 2025 and intent do continue to use it for filing taxes. I've had to edit several transactions manually, but the vast majority imported and synced correctly. Without Koinly or something similar, it would have been a bigger headache to file taxes.

Koinly makes Calulating taxes in Canada Easy
Calculating for taxes in Canada is hard, however Koinly made it really simple. Not only is it simple to use but Koinly has a massive help section that explains how current taxes for your country work and it is updated Yearly. Will Continue to use Koinly, it saves me time and stress.

Shining some light on exceptional customer service
I just finished having the best customer service experience I can recall in recent memory, perhaps ever, with Carl at Koinly.io
I had misplaced not only my password but also the ability to access my Koinly account login email (boo Skiff.com) and was faced with losing 3 years of annual transaction reports...what a sinking feeling
However, thanks to prompt and adept professionalism of Carl, he was able to thoroughly verify my account ownership without making me feel the slightest bit inconvenienced and provide me with my previously generated reports
The amount of time, headache, hassle and hard conversations he saved me from isn't easy to express without giving detail, but let's just Carl helped me avoid a sh*tshow couple of days.
I'm taking the time to write this because elite team members like Carl can be rare to encounter these days, but I certainly lucked out and cannot thank him enough for his assistance.
P.S. Carl is probably overdue for a promotion in my humble opinion ;-)
