Holy wow... what a terrible company. There will be a class action lawsuit against them.
Closed my account months ago... witholding reserve funds. Never had a single dispute or chargeback.
There is 0 reason as to not to release funds.
Refuse to release the funds. Give them all the info.. then put me on hold and direct me to a dead end line that just rings and rings

I wish I would have read the reviews prior to signing up. I did not get to see the contract prior to signing on the tablet handed me, my fault for trusting the rep to give me all the information. I did not know that I was signing a 2 year contract (she never said anything about a contract) and then when I finally did receive the contract, I found out that when I received the processing device, there was another year tacked on to the contract. The processing device did not mirror the order I input the inventory in as I entered it from the computer which was minor and could have been worked with, but the largest problem was, when working with the reports, I found that I was being charged a fee for cash sales. No one could explain where this fee was coming from, where it was going nor why. I was told that this would be escalated. I did not use the device for the first month due to the incorrect charges and reporting but was charged by EMS. My rep quit responding to my questions, I only got voice mail when trying to contact customer service and when I finally did get in contact with someone to cancel my account, I was told that I may or may not have to sign something to get it cancelled. When I contacted them again for an update, I was told it was in "review". They promote this company as a "local company" and play on "support local". It has not been a pleasant experience at all! I DO NOT RECOMMEND EMS.

Beware!! They refuse to release my rolling reserve that they've held after I closed my business. They told me to contact an attorney. I would highly recommend to anyone to find a different processing company to deal with. Extremely unprofessional. I thought their email was spam and a scam to try to access my bank account. It stated we have sum money to deposit for you.

There is a guy named Patrick working at Risk department that has horrible rude attitude. He is very hostile. As a new merchant I want to take my money and close the account. Stay away!!!!

For one disputed transaction they placed my account on HOLD and keep charging HOLD payments from my personal account.
Risk management never cooperate in fact they stop replying because they are unable to solve the issues. All payments are stuck in the portal.

We partnered with EMS to process credit card payments for our U.S. eCommerce brand. During onboarding, we were told there would be no reserve or only a small rolling reserve. We later signed an agreement that stated clearly: 10% reserve, capped at $500,000.
Instead, EMS is now withholding 100% of our revenue — over $75,000 — without any written justification or timeline. We've stayed compliant with all processing limits, had no fraud, and received no explanation.
We’ve reached out repeatedly to our account manager, who did escalate it, but weeks have passed and nothing has changed. To make matters worse, EMS has continued to charge our bank account for fees and transaction reversals, even when we processed no new sales.
This situation has disrupted our operations and created unnecessary financial risk. We've given EMS a final deadline to resolve this and plan to escalate legally if no resolution is provided.
If you're a growing business, I strongly recommend you avoid EMS until they change their reserve handling and transparency practices.
UPDATES: EMS requesting information to make our review dissapear, I have completed the chargeback Reduction Plan on 2nd of May. and know you are still holding 64k. What you are saying to decrease to 2% doesn't make any sense. How would I use EMS again and reduce the chargeback rate to 2%, if would not use EMS again? I would gladly remove this once resolved.

When it comes to payment processors it's often hard to keep merchants happy. Dealing with money is often difficult and tricky but the staff at EMS is great. Jamie and Sara and so many are so great. I love working with them as I know when issues arise they are on top of it and quickly on top of it. Kudos to them and appreciate how they truly work to solve issues. Thanks everyone!

They have been paid, but are refusing to release money owed to me. I've called everyday for 2 weeks. I'm not being listened to. trying to reach someone who can help me by phone is impossible. This is causing me a great deal of hardship.
****** We never have sold prescription pharmaceuticals re-evaluate the definition then try again**** EMS closed my account citing "risk" without any prior warning or communication. I only discovered the closure when customers reported declined transactions. Upon contacting EMS, I was informed that my account had been closed for two days, yet I received no notification. The department responsible was unavailable, leaving me with no immediate recourse. This forced me to halt operations to prevent further customer dissatisfaction.
