Had a great day with Lally tours with a very good bus driver that could tell us a lot about the landscape, country and the people. Can certainly recommend Lally

The simpathy and efficiency of the driver, Mac Tara, made the difference on what was my third time at Kelymore Abbey and gardens (been there on 2006 and 2017). If only we had had 3 hours instead of 2... See more

Commentary with a song!

We had a fantastic tour with Lally to the Cliffs of Moher, which obviously were breathtaking. The tour was well-organised and varied with stops for photos at scenic points and an optional visit to the Aillwee caves. Lunch had been booked in a pub in Doolin which offered delicious food at a variety of prices. I could have done with a little more time for lunch, mainly because I was travelling with a group and time was a bit tight for ordering, eating, paying and using the toilet.
I would like to mention in particular our driver/guide Macdara who provided a really informative commentary covering subjects ranging from history, economics, agriculture, geography and so on. He even sang a couple of songs!
I would highly recommend this tour.

Memorable Day Trip to the Cliffs of Moher and Burren with Lally Tours

Our family of 7 took the Cliffs of Moher and Burren day trip from Galway in November 2024, and it was a wonderful experience. We started our journey from Dublin, with smooth and convenient transfers arranged by Lally Tours via Citylink.

Our driver and guide, John B., was outstanding. His knowledge of the area, Irish history, and culture brought each stop to life, from the Dunguaire Castle to the otherworldly landscapes of the Burren. He was attentive and entertaining, sharing fascinating stories and helpful tips along the way, which really enhanced our experience.

The stops were well-paced, allowing us to fully enjoy each location. Aillwee Cave was a unique addition, and Doolin was a charming village where we had a relaxing lunch with delicious local food at Fitzpatrick's Bar. Of course, the Cliffs of Moher were the highlight, and the views were absolutely breathtaking!

Overall, the trip was well-organized, and John B.’s expertise made it even more special. Highly recommend Lally Tours for anyone looking to explore the beautiful west coast of Ireland!

Full day, full Ireland experience

I highly recommend this trip if you are looking for a full-day excursion. They offer pickup from nearby spots such as Salthill, just in case you aren’t staying in the center of Galway. The bus ride always felt safe and comfortable (thank you Shane) and our tour guide was fantastic (thank you Connor). You see plenty along the whole way, everything is taken care of ticket-wise. The boat ride was a bit rough for a short while (just depends on that day’s weather). Having time on the Aran islands was the best experience. Time for a horse drawn carriage ride and of course a pint or two at the local pub. It really felt like we got to experience the real Ireland.

A wonderful trip thanks to our driver

Our driver, Jerry, made what would otherwise have been a reason to sleep for about 4 hours into a really interesting trip, with his stories and insights into the local area, culture and the country.
He is clearly a history buff, and brought everything to life for me and my family.
I was sad to have fallen asleep on the return journey as I was looking forward to hearing his take on the potato famine.

We had a wonderful small group tour of…

We had a wonderful small group tour of the Aran Islands. Our tour guide was Barry and driver was Shane. Shane was an excellent safe driver and also a kind and hospitable person. He greeted us very warmly and made us feel in good hands. Barry is an amazing guide, both knowledgeable and funny. He had deep insights and funny anecdotes galore. It was at the same time instructive but also felt intimate and personal. He even played regional poetry and music for us to make it even more interactive. Our group was also really top, and we were only 13, so it all felt very memorable.

Galway at its best!!

Galway at its best Being able to seethe natural wonders in one day and have a small bus to maneuver the narrow roads surpassed my expectations. Take this tour with no more than 20 people. The big buses get stuck on the Wild Atlantic Way. We did not. We learned, laughed and and loved the cliffs of Mohar and the circular route so we saw as much as we could without backtracking .Our guide Sean and driver Finn were excellent.

Day tour Connemara and National park

Well organised and interesting day tour from Galway to Connemara and Diamond hill. Barry knows à lot of stories about the county and well done to Martin the driver.
But the time (less 2 hours) is too short to follow the red way around Diamond hill, when it's not raining.

Our tour was amazing

Our tour was amazing, Barry gave us lots of amazing information and kept us cackling. Saw many amazing sights along the way with Barry pointing out any spots along the way. Very well paced tour!
The only thing I will say is if you are going from dublin, the bus from dublin to galway is a city bus. So it might be faster to book direct at galway and take a train or stay a night!
