Sent a threatening letter saying I owe…

Sent a threatening letter saying I owe nearly £12,000 for gas supply to a property I've never owned or lived at. They just accuse anyone they can of owing money it seems, and then force you to correct them for them not doing any checks to make sure they have the right person.

Apparently according to LCS…

Apparently according to LCS investigation department I had been put in the frame for a debt from Scottish Power for an address in Bury St Edmunds. Well your investigation department are rubbish. 1 I’ve never lived at the address your accuse me of living in.
2 I don’t have an account with Scottish Power and have not done so since about 2015 when I left then due the incompetent customer service and with holding my money when I was in credit for over £500.
Sort your life out and make sure your information is correct before sending out debt letters.

How do I sue them??
They keep scamming people with fake utility bills! They got me first time, I paid them 88£ for a bill they said I was in debt. Now they send me another 2 letters, hencewise I suspected. Even more worrying HOW DO THEY GET ALL THESE PERSONAL DATA???

Disgraceful company

Been on hold for nearly 2 hours. No call back. I had an agreement to pay an outstanding debt of around 1,000 in instalments having paid two instalments already my account online stats the money hasn’t gone down.My debt is still roughly £1000. Where has my money gone? Not paying another penny now. Fraudsters

Predatory tactics on a gas bill that did not exist

LCS use aggressive, predatory letters and threats of further action to try to demand that I pay £188 for a non-existent British Gas bill from August to November 2023 for a flat that I own but do not occupy that was being serviced by another utility provider. They put you through stupid bureaucracy to speak to them and then have nothing to back up their claim - no bill, no meter reading - nothing. LCS chases estimated bills for months of services when the flat is not even using them as a supplier. No facts, no actual information just demands to pay the money that they want to charge you. They have said they will stop chasing and not contact me any more - lets see.

Terrible company!

If I could give less then 1 star I would. These companies are a disgrace, I have been chased for a debt based on an estimate given to them by a so called gas and electric supplier. I have provided evidence to show that there has been no gas or electric used during the period I am being accused of owing for, with actual date stamped photos of the meters and their response is to provide “correct readings” indicating I have somehow falsified these. Disgusting treatment.

Update - continuing to receive threatening letters from this company advising we must contact them within 7 days when I have been communicating with them since December and I have been waiting for a response from them since March.

Bad organisation and unprofessional

Hi ,
Unprofessional organisation, they picked my name on property i used to live 2 years ago and start chasing me with money of gas bill while i wasn't actully there , after i spoke with my solicitor who provide them tenancy agreement that i left the property 2 years ago , they didn't even apologise or want to pay compensation for the hassle i went through

Do not give them any money

Do not give them any money. Report them as fraud. They are breaching your data. Under the GDPR, they can't have your data and can't claim money for a third party. FRAUDULENT COMPANY. let's all take them to court.

Total scam company

Total scam company. Tried to imply I owed money for utilities in a house that I had sold, for the period after the new owners had moved in. In fact, Shell Energy had refunded me for overpayment.
Good luck trying to scare the old, weak and vulnerable clients. But a laughable attempt, considering no correspondence from Shell on the matter.
Also don't believe those ridiculous positive reviews. So fake

Wrong Info on Letter and Mistakes 🤬

Was with Eon next when I moved into a new property to cut a very long story short I took Eon to the Ombudsman and won my case they were charging me for Gas which I didn't have with them totally different meter number so I got my money back and compensation my account is zero and closed now,now I keep getting letters from LCS at Leeds saying I owe £652.00 it's an absolute Con not even got right address for the supply mistakes on the letter this shouldn't be allowed STOP hassling people else I will go to the Ombudsman about LCS

THEY GET THINGS WRONG AND CANT BE BOTHERED

Rang and spoke to Ayaaz after my 18 yr old grandson received a letter saying he owed £2412.81 to HMRC for a self assessment bill... he has never completed a self assessment! They confirmed that there was a difference in the date of birth... but that meant he couldn't complete security check... and therefore we should call HMRC to rectify. He was very rude and couldn't be bothered to help! This threatening letter caused distress to my grandson. We are currently dealing with HMRC as this was issued in error! Someone with same initials, different d/o/b shame on both HMRC & LCS!! Why are HMRC even using this company??

LCS a rouge company

Clearly this company LCS needs to be investigated for their heavy handed mall practice to bully and intimidate customers at first instant, I had a letter and when I called they ask me what is your company name although i had their letter with 2 unique ref data point but the guy on phone wouldn't go forward without company name and threatened to disconnect the call, I was trying to be helpful to understand what the letter is about, Having read many reviews it is clear that Utilities company and HMRC can do better choice rather then filling pockets of such private individuals = Net worth of this 1st locate uk ltd is 7 figure.

LCS Scammers…

Just like everyone else on this site I have received a letter from the possible scam artists called LCS claiming I owe £66.90 for an unpaid electricity/gas bill signed of course by the infamous Rebecca Carter. I have also tried contacting EDF four times by e mail but have only had the 'canned response' that they will reply within 31 hours it is now 10 days since the first canned response and I am still waiting to hear from EDF. I have no intention of paying this company or any other until I know who they are, and neither should anyone else. 4Jul23-I have just had a call at last from EDF confirming that I owe nothing and should ignore any post from LCS.

Letter from 1st Locate advising me I…

Letter from 1st Locate advising me I owed E.ON for utilities for a period after I had left property in question. Refused to believe me and insisted that I had to prove I did not owe money. Phoned E.ON and agreed nothing due from me.
Ist Locate very unhelpful.
