I had a breakdown I scrapped my car to a professional scrap merchant that paid me minimum amount the vehicle was worth 3 times the amount As I was ill I couldnt deal with this. I also continued to pay a years insurance This was due to the fact I was in my bed for 3 months with no help and could not physically get out of bed Bearing in mind I paid 6 months insurance when I did not have cr The scrap merchants did not send me back the part were I had to fill in STUPID ME BEING SEVERELY ILL did not think that a professional company that I gave my car for zilch would not be dealing with this. Now I want to know how or in what way this company is dealing with disability or mental health issues. I now have to pay a penalty of 80 after loosing my car for zilch to a company of profession. The tax was disposable notification to say Im no longer keeper of the vehicle 19/07/ 2021 There letter was 01/09/2021 There answer was yur being charged because you did not contact dvla I assumed the company that scrapped was as I no longer had paperwork Bearing in mind I was laying in my bed severely ill How does this work are you against disability My message to this company is I hope I get my health back as when I do I will be suing you for discriminating against disability when previous to this they were a paying upstanding (maybe to much) citizen

Look forward to your response on the subject of illness

Clear fraud scam report to ActionFraud

Clear fraud scam that needs to be reported immediately officially to reporting actionfraud police uk

Never ever give your name, date of birth or national insurance to fraudsters who doesn't have that information and you generously provide to them. This is how they fill the gaps to use against you later to look more legitimate next time.

If you really owe someone debt (in my case I didn't even have debt in the first place) the original entity will chase you directly first in writing and by phone not through a 3rd party company. Think before sharing your private information

THIS IS A SCAM.

THIS IS A SCAM.

If you owe any company money, they will write to your home address. They will not send you text messages or call you.

It is quite common for LCS to call and scare you, and as you're caught like a 'rabbit in the headlights', you'll be asked for private information (for example your date of birth) which will be used against you at some future date.

If you provide personal information (information they can easily obtain and information they should already have) they work on the basis that you must owe something to someone, or you'd not provide it.

They will ask you to make a settlement or enter some sort of payment plan, settlement, etc.. If you refuse they threaten to immediately issue court proceedings etc...

DO NOT PAY THEM.

If you owe money, the company you owe money to will write to you. If LCS write to you claiming to be collecting a debt from 'ABCLtd' - ignore it.

Be warned.

tedious an data breaching

they keep sending me final warning invoices but with no way to pay.

On the phone, they ask for all sorts of unauthorised data and refuse to proceed if you don't comply. E.g 'what is your financial health', 'are you paying out of earnings', whats your DOB..etc...I have no contract with them that they can touch my data, I just want to pay their client's invoice and can supply a reference number to facilitate that.

They should make it simple to just pay, instead it was slow/tricky and filled with data breach questions

Nightmare Nightmare Nightmare!

Nightmare Nightmare Nightmare!!
Firstly they sent the letters to completely wrong address and without any names. And they keep sending it until the final notice. When you call them their lines are always busy. When you get connected the call gets disconnected. They promise to call you back, but they never do. Called again and again and the final got through and they take the card details and disconnected again. i am not sure if this is legit company and i hope my card details wont get misused.

SCAMMER ALERT- BEWARE They contacted me stating a debt had been…

contacted me stating a debt had been incurred however i have already paid it, customer service operator was very rude. It seems like a scam. Beware. It was apparently on behalf of British gas but that has already been paid. The is an "interest charge" which is a little strange for a payment that has already been paid. Again scammy

Edit: I decided to contact British Gas as there was numerous red flags, 1. the reviews all saying the same thing that this company has tried to contact people regarding a debt that either doesn't exist or has already been paid. 2, a late interest charge??? that doesn't happen unless on a credit card/ loan 3, customer service operator said don't contact British gas you deal with us

Long story short, spoken to British Gas who have confirmed my balance on their account is 0. These people are just scammers and are trying to get money out of vulnerable people. Best reported to financial ombudsman. Dirty scumbags

I will now ignore the correspondence but keep it for the F.O (Yes I am reporting them)

This Company Ignores Facts.

They were employed by EDF to collect about £145 for a property and a period for which I had already paid EDF (in response to EDF's final bill). For some reason, EDF had given them a different account number so it looked like that account number had not been paid. I wrote to these people with a full explanation and about three weeks later they sent another demand, completely ignoring my email. Do they really think a customer is going to pay twice for the same amount of electricity?

BE AWARE!

Received multiple letters regarding the current and PAST flat I rented saying I owe money which I don't. I sent both tenancy agreements and they ask for information that I don't want to share like DOB and full name, mobile number, and current address, the information can be found in the tenancy agreement. After that, they still keep sending me threatening letters. I do not owe sh**t. Come and get it if you can. I won't answer your BS letters. In fact, I am waiting for you to take me to a court so I can show you everything and then take legal action against your accusations.

Someone should take legal action against LCS

I still keep receiving email, text messages and letters from LCS asking me to pay. I have told them numerous times that I have already settled this with SSE directly but they don't seem to understand a simple fact. I spoke to them today and I was told that although I have paid £65 and SSE have confirmed that they have received final payment, I still owe them £20 for late payments. This is not a late payment. I informed SSE that my bill is incorrect due to a fault in the meter. My new provider had to reset the meter so that I could provide you the right meter readings. Your initial bill was incorrect and I was waiting for you to send me the correct bill. As soon I was notified of the outstanding amount, I made the payment.

When I spoke to LCS today, I was extorted by saying "If you want to take a risk, don't pay. But SSE might record a default on your credit report as partially settled". The customer service offered by SSE and LCS are appalling to say the least.

Why no option for 0 Stars?

Why no option for 0 Stars?

Despite responding immediately to a letter demanding the immediate payment of an outstanding sum in kind, by recorded mail over a month ago, I received today in the post another demanding letter.

I rang this time and spoke to HILARY in HC1 - she wouldn't give her last name, nor would she speak to me until I'd jumped through all their security hoops.

I tried to tell her that I'd responded to Rebecca Carter's letter on the 27th Sept 2021 and that this "debt" was actually being paid (got the reference no, bank account no and sort code of where it was coming from too) but because I refused to give her my date of birth (what's that got to do with anything?) she refused to help me and hung up. I rang back and got her again 😳, jumped through all the hoops again, then got told that Rebecca Carter doesn't take phone calls. I've got a feeling I'll get a better result if I call using their normal landline (0113 297 7530 or 0113 297 7500) rather than the one advertised in their letter (0344 411 2354).

I've written a letter today to Rebecca Carter, Andrew Barclay and Darren Guest (Listed on Companies House) and cc'd it to Hilary. All in the hopes that ONE of them will get to the bottom of this. If I don't get a response within 7 days I'll escalate it to a Formal Complaint.

SCAM!

Sent me a letter claiming I had outstanding debt with EDF, they also addressed the letter to ‘The Legal Owner’ which just showed how little information they had about who owed this ‘debt’, nor did the letter mention a figure.
I immediately called EDF and they confirmed that I had NO outstanding debt, in fact, I received a refund from an over payment from EDF! When I tried to call LCS it would ring for a little while then offer me a call back or to leave a voicemail, I truly believe this is a scam and I will be reporting them

like everyone here, I've received a letter from lcs telling me I owe 100s of pounds to SSE.
I don't owe any debts to anyone in this world, In fact SSE owes me a refund!

Completely unprofessional !

This is one of the worst companies i ever had to communicate with. We keep receiving letters from them after "sorting out" the problem already with them on the phone twice! We sent to them the documentation needed and the still did not fix the issue. They disturb me by sending these letters and in first place the problem they need to fix is with the previous owner not with me. Totally and extremely unprofessional !

Total scam - do NOT pay or give any personal details to these scum of the earth!
They can make threats all they want but they have no legal power to enforce what they are saying, it wouldn't hold up in court. #StaySafe #Scammers #Fraudulent #Scumbags
