My bad experience at Lexus Birmingham is…

My experience with Lexus Birmingham is very bad and i have decided not to buy their vehicles any more.
I bought a brand new lexus 450 RX hybrid plus in 2024. I did and paid for everything to secure my car which includes tracker service for £549. A year and 4 months later, my car was stolen outside my house and i contacted the tracker uk to find or trace my car. It waa then that i discovered that, a duming, blind or faulty tracker had been fitted to my car. They cannot even for once trace my car. I demanded a refund for the tracker that i paid to secure or atleast trace my car, but they refused and uptil now all i got was a sorry which really made me furious and disappointed. I paid for a service that i didn't get and i am entitled to a refund of my money. How do they expect me to be happy with their services. I could have bought an off the market tracker for £50 and don't bother if my car got stolen and can't be traced. But not a highly rated and professional Lexus tracker service for a wooping £549. I want my money back.

Had a replacement battery from Lexus…

Had a replacement battery from Lexus lasted just under 8 months, the replacement battery was 45ah 325 28800 azc35 yet original battery lasted 9 years 20hr 49ah ccs 325a. They want to replace the replacement battery but I want the original battery which can be bought elsewhere, also the post size is larger on original battery than the one they use as a replacement!! Not happy with the service so I’ll be avoiding them and get original battery!! Lexus are useless and unhelpful

Absolutely awful experience

Absolutely awful experience considering I've been a customer for around 20 years. I am having more than one problem with my local service centre so decided to contact head office to resolve it. Their recorded message informs me they are only open Monday to Friday 09:00-17:30 - but I'm writing this at 11:07 on a Thursday. I have tried other numbers but nobody wants to know. By the way - one of the problems is my local service centre is unable to source tyres for my vehicle. Kwik Fit can get them within a day. How does anyone explain that?

My car was going into limp mode and x2…

My car was going into limp mode and x2 garages could not find the problem .
Step in Lexus leeds ,after diagnostic we still needed to try work out why .
It turned out to be cat that had disintegrated into the exhaust .
Any garage would have charged the earth for the time spent but not these guys .
250 all in I’m obverse the moon .
Big shout out to Tom and paddy the master technician .
Not only the best cars the service 2nd to none .

The service from Lexus Stoke has been exceptional from initial purchase to ongoing service and maintenance. Recent example of urgent need for prompt response and helping to address a mechanical failure through the service area-James and his team —has been exceptional . This has reinforced my desire to stay with Lexus for future vehicle choices.

Lexus extended warranty not worth the…

Lexus extended warranty not worth the cost.Premature wiper linkages worn on my Lexus RX 450h at 13,000 miles .I was told at my dealership service that there was slight wear in the wiper linkage ,that would need resolving in the future. I had no concern as the noise was minimal and my car was under warranty. When the noise became worse I contacted the Lexus dealership and asked to have this problem resolved . I was then told that the wiper linkage was not covered under Lexus warranty .I was shocked .It cost me £200 to have a wiper linkage replaced at 13.000 miles.It was obviously a manufaturing fault as both pins on the linkage were worn.Contacted Lexus on two occasions reference a manufacturing fault not covered under warranty. I also noted that I had kept the worn part for further examination ,so that thay could investigate why the linkages would wer at such low millage on a prestige , so called reliable vehicle . No interest or reply from Lexus UK. Warranty not worth the extra you have to pay .This is my second Lexus . I have now lost confidence in Lexus and their reliabily, as I now have another problem with a shock absorber.

Lexus Hull continue to amaze me with their customer service

Lexus Hull continue to amaze me with their outstanding customer service,Like yesterday when Patrick picked my car up from my home and delivered it back to me after carrying out a small warranty repair.
And this is the standard of service i have received from this dealership since purchasing my first Lexus car from them.

Not the Lexus Experience

This a review of Lexus Swindon.

We purchased a brand new NX 450+ in September and waited 3.5 months for its delivery only for the interior to be incorrect. We couldn’t come to a sufficient financial compromise for us to take the car so we walked away.

What is annoying is the fact that nobody checked the order or recognised the issue allowing us to travel over 100 miles to pick up a car that was not what we ordered. Then they rubbed salt in the wounds by offering us the servicing deal but requiring us to bring the car back to Swindon each time, a round trip of over 200 miles for us.
We then had to wait nearly 3 weeks for the return of the deposit.

Ultimately there are two key aspects to this experience.
Firstly, this was definitely not the ‘Lexus Experience’. Secondly, there seems to be complacency within this franchise at all levels and everyone abdicated responsibility. A change to process and procedure is definitely required plus some re-training.

Based on this experience I would avoid, avoid, avoid.

MOT service

Left my car for MOT, filled up the check in form and asked for car to be washed, when dropped the car been asked if I would like it to be washed, said yes. When came to pick up after 8h. been given it back unwashed and didn’t even get an explanation or apology, was too late to ask to wash as it was just 30 min before closing. Previous MOT services received while waiting. Left very disappointed as Lexus been giving exceptional service for years.

Jan on reception at Hull Lexus is excellent. Car booked in for service and mot.
Had to wait due to distance I live from garage.
Yes I could have had someone pick the car up from my home but don’t like others driving my car.

Offered various options of hot and cold drinks. Kept up to date with progress, even offered to take me to local shops if I wished to pass the time!

They even wash and hoover your car.

Well done Lexus, well done Jan.

If zero stars were possible, I would give zero

I am extremely disappointed with Lexus and their poor customer service. There is a serious risk of theft due to poor vehicle security, and Lexus refuses to take proper responsibility for it.

I contacted Lexus UK regarding the tracker installation, which should have been provided considering this is a known issue affecting Lexus vehicles. Despite this, they refused to cover the cost, leaving customers exposed to theft risks for something that is clearly a design and security flaw in their cars.

If I had known that Lexus vehicles were so vulnerable and poorly protected, I would never have purchased one. Lexus clearly cares more about selling cars than protecting their customers.

This experience has completely destroyed my trust in the brand. I strongly believe that the UK government should intervene to prevent car manufacturers from selling vehicles with such poor security and lack of accountability.

Avoid Lexus — their reputation for reliability means nothing if your car can be stolen so easily and the company refuses to help.

Issues with Charger and software

A new RX this year . The software is flakey especially the Lexus Link app . Have not been able to charge my car for the past 24 hours as the charger is not working properly . Rang and reported to customer service who escalated it and said some one would ring me back . By 1610 they had not so rang again . Met with an answer machine message saying they are now closed and are only open M-F 9 to 1730 : It's a Wednesday and it's 1610 !

Lexus Birmingham - the gold standard!

I only write reviews when my experience in a particular business is consistently outstanding and Lexus Birmingham is consistently outstanding.

My husband, daughter, and I all have different expectations. My husband, who has always been very cautious with his money wants to ensure he buys a quality product worth every penny and more. However what we got was so much more than a car sale—we got a lovely, human experience.

Julia always greet us with such warmth, kindness that I am immediately put at ease—even on a day when my chronic pain made even walking difficult. She remembered the small things, offered biscuits like a friend would, and made us feel valued in ways in ways that many don’t often experience. She didn’t just welcome us—she held space for us. Julia represents the excellence in customer service and wonderfully her "impeccable-ness” is in ALL the Birmingham Lexus team.

Then came Wasim. He was brilliant. On the day we purchased the new car he didn’t push—he guided. He read my husband perfectly, matched his tone to our energy, and somehow turned a detailed financial discussion into a moment of laughter (yes, even my very careful with money husband was smiling)

We thought the new was delayed but after Wasims explanation and his charming style we waited without being concerned. .When the car was revealed, my husband was genuinely speechless—so overcome with excitement he didn’t hear a single instruction. That’s how good the moment was.

This isn’t just about selling cars. This is about treating people with dignity, joy, and real compassion—especially when life is hard. In a world full of rushed transactions, Lexus Birmingham felt like a big warm hug.

We bought our third Lexus here—not because we had to, but because we wanted to. My daughter started it. I followed. My husband came along. And now, we’re all returning.

If you’re looking for a dealership that treats you like family—not a number—go to Lexus Birmingham. Julia , Wasim, Joe (my husbands charismatic new best friend) and all staff, Elaine and Christian are the exemplars of excellent service. Not many people remember what someone said but we all remember how they made us feel.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart Lexus Birmingham. We’ll be back.

Collected my E300h frm ipswich…

Collected my E300h frm ipswich yesterday. Dealt with Andrei and his Manager. Smart showroom, plenty of coffee!! Could not have asked for a better service. Won't go anywhere else in future. Deserve more than 5*. Car is fantastic!!!
