Although they try to help YouTube keeps sending me messages saying I cannot monetise even though they have tried to clear this up twice

A very large variety of songs that are structured by categories. They are relatively easy to find. A wonderful thing for content on YouTube and beyond.

I like Lickd's idea - unfortunately it clashes with reality. The music industry is too complex for this concept to work well.

I purchased 4 licenses from Lickd. First of all, the promise written on the website is not true: the songs were not automatically cleared within 30 minutes on YouTube. I had to manually submit each song again via the website. Several hours later, the Lickd team removed the claims manually.

After that, however, the problems really began. I already had the video ready for release when I received a new copyright claim overnight. This time from a different label that had licensed the song on a different market and didn't know about the license I had purchased. Lickd calls these claims “3rd party claims”.

I then had to postpone the release of my video. Because Lickd support didn't respond to me in a timely manner, I ended up re-editing the video with copyright-free music and uploaded it - without Lickd's music.

In the end it took Lickd 5-6 days (not 30 minutes, not 48 hours like promised) to clear all copyright claims from my video. By then I had already deleted my video and uploaded it without Lickd music. Also because nobody knew if this will be the last copyright claim.

The problem with this service: Even if you purchase licenses, you are not protected from copyright claims by third parties. These claims will be sorted out by Lickd (at some point, no one knows exactly when), but until then you won't make any money from your YouTube video. Or worse: you get a copyright strike. Additionally, the service is useless if you have to wait 6 days or longer for your video to be cleared - it just takes too long.

I asked Lickd to refund me the money for the 4 licenses which I couldn't use - they didn't. At least they refunded me the money for the 1 license that was claimed. I'm very upset about this, I really was hoping for a complete refund.

Nevertheless, customer service was always friendly and responded reasonably quickly.

I have a few issues with how this business is structured. They bait you in with the promise of premium music but the catch is A) there is a lot of red tape and restrictions on how you can use the tracks, such as not being able to use the track if you have sponsored content in the video. B) to pass their verification system you have to put a lengthy and spammy ad to their service along with the license ID in your video description.
And C) there are limits to what platforms you can post on, you can use the track only once (so if you wanted to make a short from your video with the track you'd have to buy another license) and there are brackets depending on your channel size and expected view count.
There is also a subscription fee that is supposed to include a large number of tracks but of course, they put their premium tracks front and center. I use sponsors to make my channel viable so by their terms, I'm not able to use their tracks which I found out after I picked a few tracks for my next video.

Lickd music … Brilliant people willing to help you and fantastic music, I’ve never had any problems , what more do you need than that, get singed up and find out what it’s like to be treated by a professional organisation , I can’t recommend them enough ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
No I don’t know anyone personally who works there and I’m definitely not paid , it’s just very hard nowadays to find a company that’s this good.

I use this website to make videos for people with dementia as part of a PhD project so they can choose music they love for their video - it would not be possible without Lickd!

Rosie K. provided top notch customer service and truly helped with a copyright claim issue I had with a song I used for a video on YouTube. This reason alone is more than enough for me to continue to use Lickd for my future YouTube videos. Thank you!

It's hard to license songs from famous artists, but with Lickd it just became a whole lot easier.

Worst service. I paid for subscription + license for a Drake song. Youtube gave me a copyright strike, Lickd did not sort it, I disputed the strike with youtube, and the owners of the song still did not approve me using the song. In the end I deleted the video

Signed up for the 14 day trial and downloaded several instrumental tracks for use in video clips. Licenses followed immediately by email. Received helpful emails through the trial period and no pressure to subscribe at the end. Very good experience as a relative ‘newbie’ to filmmaking and video editing.

Takes a YouTube video and adds some luster to the soundtrack.

I purchased 2 songs to use in a video (TIESTO, KARLO G - Dont Be Shy), and (TIESTO, AVA MAX, The Moto),I posted the video friday, The video was blocked and never cleared. No response from lickd until Monday. They asked me to send screen shots of the blocked video..that was the last I heard from them..no more communication, I had to do over the video with other songs….THIS IS A SCAM……BE AWARE…..

I have tried to sign up to play full tracks before committing,but every time I try the playlist flashes up in front immediately followed by their 14 day trial page. Despite trying all the urls posted to access content I never had luck in getting to see what I want. Nothing like this with Epidemic sound or Musicbed. Sorry guys will give it a miss.

Lickd is so easy to work with and so quick to respond to any questions. I’ve had so much fun and found some great selections with Lickd!

Lickd is great in so many ways! The best thing is that they make it possible to use the music that people hear in the radio without the need to think about copyright claims etc... I my own head, the "known" music helps with keeping the "viewtime" longer for each video and make it more interesting so people think less about my bad editing skills. Music tracks can also be found in my native language that I remember from when I was young so that´s really-really nice.

Lickd has been such a great asset to me and my work. I've got access to so much amazing music and the website is so easy to use. To be able to use music like this for the price they charge is unbelievable. I would (and do) recommend Lickd to every content creator out there
